Chris the Farmer is ready to find his Soules mate. The Iowa native, a fan favorite during Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette , came on Good Morning America today after being confirmed as The Bachelor . “I believe in the process,” Chris Soules told the morning show’s panel. “I believe in what I went through on the previous show and that’s why I’m doing it.” Chris Soules on Good Morning America Chris got the nod over Arie Luyendyk Jr. for The Bachelor, insiders say, because of his unusual background – not to mention fans’ strong connection to him. Unlike past Bachelor stars, it’s very clear what he has to offer. Being a farmer’s wife in Iowa might not appeal to every woman, but those it does appeal to? Expect them to fight hard for Chris, because he blends his manly, yet sophisticated persona with an aura of confidence and chivalry to the role. “My focus is going to be to make the girls that are on the show as comfortable as possible,” he added. “That was my first initial challenge, was opening up to Andi.” “I’m going to do my best. I’m humbled, flattered, grateful.” The 32-year-old says he can’t believe his good fortune: “Coming from a small town, I’d never really expected to have this opportunity to be on either show, let alone be the lead on The Bachelor, so it’s been awesome.” Can the pride of Arlington, Iowa, stay above the fray and maintain his sterling reputation when he’s the one handing out the roses in early 2015? We certainly hope so, and if anyone can withstand the scrutiny and scandal that invariably follow the show, it would be the Funk Soules Brother. Check out lots more photos of Chris Soules below!
