The details of the settlement were kept confidential, but you can only imagine the number that the league had to come up with to satisfy both men. They know good-and-damn-well that team owners were almost assuredly banding together to keep Kaep from getting a job. Attorney Mark Geragos broke the news on Twitter this afternoon. “For the past several months, counsel for Mr. Kaepernick and Mr. Reid have engaged in an ongoing dialogue with representatives of the NFL,” Geragos and the NFL said in the statement. “As a result of those discussions, the parties have decided to resolve the pending grievances. Source: Phillip Faraone / Getty Ghostface Killah And RZA Are Developing A Horror Movie RZA and Ghostface Killah are making some major moves in order to expand their filmography. According to reports from Deadline , the hip-hop legends along with producer Shaun Redick (from films like Get Out and BlacKkKlansman ) are teaming up to develop a film titled Angel of Dust. The movie is said to be a “suspense horror thriller” that RZA himself will direct. The film is reportedly inspired by true events the members of the Wu-Tang Clan experienced while growing up in the Staten Island Projects. Ghostface developed the story idea along with his manager Caruso. Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith were tapped to write the modern-day adaptation of the script. Angel of Dust is supposedly going to center on an exceptionally smart teenager and talented rapper named Casey, who is forced to grow up in the streets of Shaolin following the mysterious death of his parents. The boy ends up being confronted by gangs, crooked cops, junkies, along with “a serial killer with seemingly supernatural powers.” “It’s hard to fathom a better way to celebrate the Wu-Tang Clan’s 25th anniversary as rock and rap creative icons than producing a cutting-edge suspense thriller loosely based on true events that though terrifying helped shape one of the greatest groups of all time,” Redick said. “The writers, Leslie and Smith have taken this original idea to seismic levels.” But of course, any film wouldn’t be complete without some music–especially one being made by rap legends. The Wu-Tang Clan will provide the Angel of Dust soundtrack, which is going to be produced by both Ghostface and Caruso. RZA will score the movie. “The creative collaboration of RZA and Ghostface has stood the test of time through our music,” RZA explained. “Now the opportunity to put our creative energies together onto the silver screen has arisen and I’m turbo charged. Bong Bong!” Angel of Dust ‘s release date has not yet been announced.

Source: FayesVision/WENN.com / WENN For Mario, he wasn’t a really big Broadway fan, so like many non-Broadway enthusiasts, he wasn’t familiar with RENT at first. “It wasn’t until after my first audition that I actually saw [RENT],” Mario admits. “I’ve been hearing ‘Seasons of Love’ all my life, just in the background, knowing the song but having not really watched the movie.” However, when the opportunity presented itself for Mario to audition, he took a moment to see the film and found himself identifying with the character Benny. He says, “Now that I’ve seen the movie and now that I know that I’m playing Benny’s part, I found relation to him, coming from Baltimore, growing up in poverty-stricken areas, leaving when I was 15 years old, and going back a few years later thinking to myself, ‘What can I do to change the circumstances of some of these kids growing up in the city.’” Mario also discusses how he’s given back to his hometown of Baltimore. “I started the Do Right Foundation where I was working with the children of substance abused parents because I experienced that,” says Mario. “In that way, I can relate to Benny in the fact that he sees a brighter future for the East Village. His way of going about it is a little harsh. But, I started there and I’ve just been building on the character ever since then.” Source: FOX / Getty Mario admits that before RENT, he never really had aspirations of wanting to get into theater, however, after being asked to audition for the musical “Hair”, the thought eventually crossed his mind. Unfortunately, he never pursued it further but that’s what makes RENT even better. It’s something completely new. As far as whether or not Mario plans to go on Broadway, the singer says that he’d love to do more one-off shows like the live showing of RENT on FOX, but he’s not ready to take on Broadway full time. “I probably won’t do traveling theater,” he said. “I have a lot of musical aspirations. I’m going on tour after this. I’m putting another project out as well. I’m just going to continue to evolve and hopefully along that path I’ll have more experiences like RENT.” The tour Mario is referring to is the upcoming Millennium Tour alongside B2K, Pretty Ricky, Chingy and others. The nostalgic R&B tour sold out in several cities, with promoters having to add additional dates. When asked how he feels about being back on stage with some of his old friends, Mario says, “I’ve been so focused on RENT, I don’t know how it feels yet. I’ve literally been in this world. But when I think about it, for me, it’s more exciting for me to get to see the fans. I’m excited about the fans! I’m excited to see how excited they are. It’s a weird time for R&B right now and I think that although R&B is making a comeback right now, this is an exciting moment for R&B fans who remember the Scream Tour. On Tuesday, the fashion retailer hit Twitter to promote a Black Panther sweater they’re selling—the only problem is, the model they used to sell the new merch isn’t the slightest bit Black . The young blonde, blue-eyed man stands tall in the top, which reads “Wakanda Forever” across the front. The obvious question is: why wasn’t a Black person asked to model it? Of course, it didn’t take long before the internet blew up with frustration, while others said anyone of any race should be able to wear Wakanda gear. “People got mad because Forever 21 had a white male wearing a wakanda forever sweater… Y’all so aggravating and complain about everything. Like why can’t someone white be showcased wearing that ? Black panther is a marvel character created for any and everyone to enjoy RELAX,” @lunaticshii tweeted, for example. To be fair, most folks aren’t mad he’s simply wearing the shirt…they’re mad that out of everyone, he’s the person they chose to promote the shirt. Key difference. The way Black culture is continuously hijacked by other races while Black people are dumped and forgotten, we’d just appreciate it if Black folks were lifted up and celebrated whenever the opportunity presents itself. And having a Black model sell a Black Panther sweater was one of those OBVIOUS opportunities to show love, which makes us wonder if choices like the one Forever 21 made are intentional? Why deny a young Black king or queen that moment to shine amongst his/her peers? Are these companies really just that tone deaf? Are there no Black models at these shoots? Or, Black employees working the shoots? Eventually, Forever 21 decided to pull the photo and issue an apology via E! : “Forever 21 takes feedback on our products and marketing extremely seriously. We celebrate all superheroes with many different models of various ethnicities and apologize if the photo in question was offensive in any way.” Hit the flip to see some of the backlash the company received.
