This is absolutely ghetto craziness. This is a two day brawl and parents were seen, “waiting for action”: Wild cellphone videos captured by students show a crowd of as many as 60 students and parents brawling in the streets of Swissvale, Pa. on Monday and again on Tuesday. The two brawls took place at the same school bus stop in Swissvale, prompting police to increase patrols in the area. “I’d consider it a riot,” Swissvale Police Chief Greg Geppert said, adding that it was disturbing that the fights involved both students and adults. “We have the video. Anyone who’s viewed on that video as being involved, I’ll guarantee you they’re getting arrested,” Geppert added. Police say they have already arrested five adults and minors and may arrest nearly a dozen more soon. The students and parents were reportedly from the Woodland Hills School district, CBS Pittsburgh reports. Investigators believe the fights were planned because several people were seen “waiting for action” with cellphone cameras out. WTAE-TV provides some footage of the fights: One female witness described the mayhem to WTAE-TV: “The boys started taking their sweatshirts off, and the backpacks were thrown in the snow, and they went at it on my car, on the ground, in the snow,” said a woman who was driving through the area with her preschool-age child. “They were swinging at each other, and some of them landed on my car and just were continuing fighting while I was honking and I was screaming and I was trying to get them away.” “At one point in the first video, there are as many as five fights going on at a time. One fight moved into traffic while cars attempted to drive around two men punching each other,” WTAE-TV reports. “The second video showed a man in red pants walking toward another man who was trying to crawl up a hillside. The man on the ground was kicked in the head, sending him rolling backward down the hill,” the report adds. Woodland Hills School Superintendent called the brawls “appalling” and said she has been “very disappoints” per the incident. She said any students involved in the fights will be suspended and possibly expelled from school. But some people who witnessed the brawls in the neighborhood claim they are afraid to walk down the street now. “I’m afraid for my life. I won’t go for a walk anymore,” one woman said. WTAE KDKA

According to NBC News: A suicide bomber drove a vehicle packed with explosives into a Catholic church in northern Nigeria on Sunday, killing at least five people, wounding nearly 100 and triggering reprisal attacks that killed at least two more, officials said. The bomber drove a jeep right inside the packed St Rita’s church, in the Malali area of Kaduna, a volatile ethnically and religiously mixed city, in the morning. “I cannot tell you how many casualties, but there were many. The heavy explosion also damaged so many buildings around the area,” said survivor Linus Lighthouse, saying he thought there had been two explosions in different parts of the church. Other witnesses and the police said there had just been one bomber however. A spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Kaduna said that five people had been confirmed killed, while 98 people were receiving treatment for wounds at two local hospitals. There was no immediate claim of responsibility but Islamist sect Boko Haram has claimed similar attacks in the past and has attacked several churches with bombs and guns since it intensified its campaign against Christians in the past year. One wall of the church was blasted open and scorched black, with debris lying around. Police later moved in and cordoned the area off. Shortly after the blast, angry Christian youths took to the streets armed with sticks and knives. A Reuters reporter saw two bodies on the roadside lying in pools of blood. “We killed them and we’ll do more,” shouted a youth, with blood on his shirt, before police chased him and his cohorts away. Police set up roadblocks and patrols across town in an effort to prevent the violence spreading. Another witness, Daniel Kazah, a member of the Catholic cadets in the church, said he had seen three bodies on the bloodied church floor after the bomb. “But still others were taken to the mortuary,” he said. An emergency worker on the scene, who had helped move casualties but was not authorized to give his name, estimated the total number of dead and wounded at around 30.

Russell Crowe had to be bailed out by the U.S. Coast Guard over the weekend after a kayaking trip went wrong off the coast of New York’s Long Island. The star, who is in the area filming Darren Aronofsky’s Noah , launched from Cold Spring Harbor Saturday afternoon, but got lost at sea as it grew dark. Crowe and a friend managed to make their way to shore, beaching their kayaks in Huntington Bay, nearly 10 miles east from where they had set out. The coast guard was patrolling the area and heard the 48-year-old calling out around 10 p.m. Crowe and his friend were brought to Huntington Harbor. “It wasn’t really a rescue,” a Coast Guard spokesman said. “Really, more of just giving someone a lift.” The men were wearing life vests and uninjured. Crowe Tweeted at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, “Thanks to Seth and the boys from the US Coast Guard for guiding the way… 4 hrs 30 mins, 7m (11.2km).” And he later expounded, writing, “We knew where exactly where we were, paddling around from csh into wind, we ran out of day. $60k? Where do we sign up? A man who was arrested for panhandling without a permit told police officers he was too lazy to get a job because he could make $60,000 a year begging. Shane Warren Speegle was allegedly caught panhandling near Interstate 40 and Macarthur Boulevard in Oklahoma City earlier this month. Officers informed the 45-year-old that he was breaking the law and that he would need to pay $200 for a permit to solicit in the area. The 45-year-old asked if he could get a permit that day as $200 was relatively cheap, according to KOCO.com. When the officer asked why Speegle did not just look for a job, he replied: ‘I’m lazy, and I made $60,000 doing this last year. Why would I go get a job?’ The officer left after asking the beggar to leave the area and reminding him that he could not panhandle without a permit. But when the officer returned a mere 20 minutes later, he found Speegle panhandling in the same spot.
