CBS has unveiled the first promo for NCIS Season 11 premiere, which it is billing as The Biggest Premiere in Show History for one very good and very sad reason: Cote de Pablo is exiting the drama as Ziva. It’s unclear just how the character will be written out, though we know an explosion on the September 26th opener will take the life of someone close to the team. No, it won’t be Ziva. CNN medical expert Dr. Sanjay Gupta announced last night that he has reversed his blanket opposition to marijuana use, saying he once misled the public. Gupta, whose documentary on weed airs on Sunday, issued a 180 on Piers Morgan Tonight and in an op-ed called “Why I Changed My Mind On Weed.” Sanjay Gupta Apologizes For Misleading Weed Stance “I have apologized for some of the earlier reporting because I think, you know, we’ve been terribly and systematically misled in this country for some time,” he said. “And I did part of that misleading.” He said that while he formerly derided medical marijuana supporters, he has since done research that had shown him how beneficial it could be: “I mistakenly believed the Drug Enforcement Agency listed marijuana as a schedule 1 substance because of sound scientific proof,” he writes. “Surely, they have quality reasoning as to why marijuana is in the category of the most dangerous drugs that have ‘no accepted medicinal use and a high potential for abuse.'” “They didn’t have science to support that claim, and I now know that when it comes to marijuana neither of those things are true.” “It doesn’t have a high potential for abuse, and there are very legitimate medical applications. The millions of dollars spent on security? That will be footed by the British taxpayers. Can you imagine the ruckus that would break out if anything like that was attempted in America? Yikes.
