Jenelle Evans Opens Up About Painful Past on New Website

Jenelle Evans has been having a rough time lately, but then again, we could say that about just about any period of time in the life of Teen Mom ‘s most troubled trainwreck. No doubt many fans have wondered where it all started to go wrong for Jenelle, and now the 24-year-old mother of two is opening up for the first time about her child – and the biological father she barely knew. Jenelle launched a new website today, and her first blog post is a surprisingly candid reflection  “A lot of people ask and wonder about my biological father; where he is, why isn’t he in my life,” Jenelle writes. “For some reason my siblings and my mother always had a sour attitude towards my father and I had no idea why.  Later on I found out there was a huge reason behind that. I’ll save that for my book.” Obviously, Jenelle wasn’t going to give up all the details for free, but she did offer some insight as to why she’s no longer in contact with her father: “My mother and father never got along, and I don’t remember, but there was always arguing and physical altercations in my household growing up,” she writes. Sadly, the pattern seems to be repeating itself, as Jenelle has been arrested  for violent altercations on more than one occasion. She’s currently awaiting trial for assaulting the girlfriend of Nathan Griffith , the father of her second child.  Between the new website and her planned memoir, Jenelle has clearly been doing a lot of writing lately, and we can only hope it’ll serve as a form of therapy. We’ve certainly been amused by her antics over the years, but at this point, we’d love nothing more than to see her shock the world by turning her life around. Watch Teen Mom 2 online to relive some of Jenelle’s many highs and lows.

J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets: The Weinstein Brothers Have Their Priorities Straight

Tensions were running high at Movieline HQ in the lead up to our Golden Globes liveblog on Sunday night , because there stood a chance that the NFL playoff game between the New York Jets and New England Patriots might run past 8 p.m. on the East Coast. Naturally, we planned to flip over the Globes (or at least that’s what we told everyone), but it appears Harvey and Bob Weinstein had a different idea.

Simon Cowell Weighs In On ‘American Idol’ Judge Steven Tyler

‘I always said it had to be someone who wasn’t better looking than me, and they achieved it,’ former ‘Idol’ judge quips. By Eric Ditzian Steven Tyler Photo: Jesse Grant/ WireImage.com Courtesy of “The View,” we’ve already checked out a sneak peek of the dynamic between the new gaggle of “American Idol” judges: Randy Jackson has shifted into a “Yo!”-spouting elder statesman, Steven Tyler is the F-bomb-dropping wildcard and Jennifer Lopez has refashioned herself as the sweet-smiling voice of the reason. What does ex-“Idol” judge Simon Cowell think of all this? If Tyler and his outsized personality are meant to fill the vacuum left by Cowell and his acerbic commentary, the British reality star is fine with that. “I always said it had to be someone who wasn’t better looking than me, and they achieved it,” Cowell said before the Founders Awards at the International Emmy Awards in New York, according to The Associated Press . The AP reports that Cowell pronounced himself happy that Tyler won the “Idol” judging job and that Jackson says they’re all having fun on the show. The Aerosmith frontman certainly seems to be enjoying himself, saying in September, “Some of the kids are so young that I’m not sure if they can get how long it’s taken me to be successful. They were all on fire. They were spunky and crazy and over the top.” While Cowell takes a step back from the spotlight and preps the American version of “The X-Factor” for Fox (set to debut in the fall of 2011), he doled out one piece of advice to Tyler. “[I]t’s a fun job,” he said. “You’ve got to take it like that. You can’t take it too seriously.” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions. Super Bowl Is The Most-Watched TV Show Ever

Sunday’s game draws more than 106 million fans to tackle the ‘M*A*S*H’ finale’s record. By Larry Carroll Carrie Underwood sings at Super Bowl XLIV Photo: CBS For three decades, the final episode of “M*A*S*H” has stood as the unreachable height of television broadcasting, combining the end of a cultural phenomenon with the end of a three-network era to garner 106 million viewers. Now, the seemingly impossible has occurred, as Sunday’s Super Bowl has beaten the drama to become the most-watched program in television history. On Monday (February 8), the Nielson Company released ratings numbers from the weekend’s big game between the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts. The result? The Super Bowl garnered 106.5 million pairs of eyeballs, just enough to beat the final “M*A*S*H” episode’s 105.97 million viewers. As theories about the massive ratings emerged, credit went to a compelling story line that had New Orleans hoping for triumph following Hurricane Katrina, Peyton Manning’s desire for a second Super Bowl ring and a game that was close for much of its run despite a 31-17 Saints final score. The previous record viewership for a Super Bowl was last year’s game between Arizona and Pittsburgh, which netted 98.7 million viewers. On the flip side, some are pointing out that there were far fewer TV sets in 1983 when “M*A*S*H” went off the air. Finishing its immensely popular 11-season run, the series about a team of doctors and support staff stationed at the 4,077th Hospital in South Korea signed off February 28, 1983, with “Goodbye, Farewell and Amen,” which ended with Hawkeye Pierce famously riding off in a helicopter and reading the word “goodbye” spelled out in stones on the ground. Incidentally, the record for highest percentage of television sets to watch a TV series is still held by “The Fugitive,” whose final episode had an astounding 72 percent of all American homes tuned to its final episode in 1967. With the average home now containing multiple TVs, and the splintering of entertainment into so many options, that record seems unlikely to ever be broken.
