Go Back To Bed: Singer From Yesteryear J. Holiday Says He’s Sick Of Successful Black Female Artists Getting Grammy Nominations

J. Holiday Lashes Out At Beyonce, SZA, And Cardi B. For Getting Grammy Noms Remember J. Holiday? We’re guessing probably not. So if you need a reminder, once upon a time he had a song called “Bed” that was actually a song by The-Dream and was really popular on urban radio for a few months back in 2007. Anyway, he just randomly resurfaced a few days ago with a few gripes about Black women using their “pain” in their songs to turn it into musical success and leaving Black men in the dust of disrespect by calling them out on their BS…or something. It wasn’t quite that clear what point he was trying to convey besides his own saltiness as an R&B one-hit-has-been. In his rant, he basically blames Beyonce , SZA, and Cardi B for being so good at what they do that they leave no room for Black men to come get the shine they deserve. We guess. “So apparently the Black men still losing to the women—I get it. No disrespect, I was raised by a woman, I have two older sisters, man, I have absolute, all respect for Black women. But with that being said, understand this, man: Black men, African-American men, men from the hood, we go through everything to make sure that who we care about are taken care of. [We] don’t swing d**ks around…don’t do all this bullsh*t to be seen. I got daughters, man. Beyoncé, Cardi B, SZA—all y’all motherf**kers—stop using that f*cking pain to make it OK to say some bullsh*t on your record, and get nominated for a Grammy for going through some bullsh*t. Because so have I as a Black motherf**king man.” O…K… Perhaps if J. Holiday channeled some of his OWN pain into some music he might have a career in the modern age ? Furthermore…he seemed to have missed the part where Jay-Z was nominated 8 times and Kendrick Lamar nominated another 7 for doing exactly that this year. Plus, singers like Mali Music, Khalid, Childish Gambino (singing on his latest), The Weeknd and Burno Mars all snagged noms. So what he’s talking about…we aren’t too sure. What do YOU think of J. Holiday’s rant against female artists getting nominations? Getty Continue reading

50 Cent Made About $8 Million By Selling His Album For Bitcoin Years Before It Was The Wave

50 Cent Is Sitting On A Bitcoin Fortune Leave it to 50 to catch a wave early. According to TMZ , back in 2014, 50 was the first rapper ever to accept bitcoin for the sale of his album, Animal Ambition . Customers could get their hands on his music for a fraction of a bitcoin, which was valued at around $662 per coin at the time. He ultimately made about 700 bitcoin in sales, which at the time amounted to about $400,000. The bitcoin laid dormant in 50’s account for the last 4 years. Now, fast-forward to today, and bitcoin is worth nearly $11,000 per unit. That means, 50 is basically sitting on about $7.6 million, if he decides to sell it at current value. Of course, the value of bitcoin fluctuates by the hour…so 50 might want to look into cashing out if he doesn’t plan to keep riding the bitcoin wave to see where it goes. Getty Continue reading

Emily Ratajkowski’s Booty Is Amazing!

This year I had a pretty lousy Christmas. I didn’t receive one good gift. I got socks, underwear and a scarf. I asked my family to chip in and buy me a Bitcoin, but they were too cheap. Anyway, these pics of Emily Ratajkowski and her booty are by far the best gift anyone could give someone. And had I bought 200 Bitcoins back in the day like my friend suggested I do, I could own that ass now.

Bitcoin Exchange CEO Charlie Shrem: Charged with Money Laundering For Silk Road Clients

Federal agents have arrested Charlie Shrem, CEO of Bitcoin exchange BitInstant, for money laundering in connection with online drug exchange Silk Road. The U.S. attorney’s office said Shrem helped someone he hadn’t met in person, Robert Faiella, sell more than $1 million worth of bitcoins to Silk Road customers. Bitcoin CEO Arrested Shrem was arrested at JFK Airport Sunday. Faiella, his 52-year-old partner, allegedly ran an underground Bitcoin exchange using the alias BTCKing. He was arrested at his home in Cape Coral, Fla. Both are charged with conspiracy to launder money and operating an unlicensed money transmitting business. Additionally, Shrem faces a charge for not tipping off the government. Shrem, 24, is a major player in the Bitcoin world. The BitInstant exchange, based in New York City, lets people buy bitcoins locally at more than 700,000 locations. It received a $1.5 million investment last year from Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. Shrem is also vice chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation, CNN reports. The Winklevoss twins said in an emailed statement that they are “deeply concerned” about Shrem’s arrest, and that they were assured his actions were legal. Shrem allegedly sold Faiella the bitcoins that eventually made their way to drug buyers and sellers, according to an investigation by the Internal Revenue Service. Though Shrem knew where the money ultimately ended up, he never reported it to the U.S. Treasury Department, according to the U.S. attorney. Faiella was allegedly pumping them into Silk Road on a regular basis. Federal documents cite emails between Shrem and Faiella that show how they worked together, although Shrem never knew Faiella by his actual name. For example, when Faiella’s frequent and large cash deposits raised eyebrows at a cash processing company, Shrem advised Faiella on how to avoid sounding alarms. The IRS claims the partners exchanged $1.05 million in bitcoins over a 10-month period ending in October 2012. Faiella eventually ended the partnership.

Mitt Romney Tax Returns: Hacked, Up For Bids!?

An anonymous individual or group claims to have obtained “all available” tax returns associated with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. The alleged hackers claim to have accessed them via computers in the Franklin, Tenn., office of professional services firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers. An anonymous posting on a file sharing website claims PwC was hacked ; the same site has been used to boast of other high-profile corporate hacks. How’d they pull it off, allegedly? The posting states: “[ Romney’s tax returns ] were taken from the PWC office 8/25/2012 by gaining access to the third floor via a gentleman working on the 3rd floor of the building.” Bribes go a long way, apparently. President Obama’s 2012 election opponent has faced calls to release his tax forms prior to 2010. The former CEO of Bain Capital has refused to do so. Wonder if this will change his mind. After “all 1040 tax forms for Romney were copied,” the perpetrators claim, having sent Mitt’s tax returns “to Democratic and GOP offices in the county.” “A scanned signature image for Mitt Romney from the 1040 forms were scanned and included with the packages,” which are almost entirely encrypted. That’s where the fun part comes in. The group claims it will “release all available files to the public on the 28 of September, 2012,” unless someone coughs up $1 million … in Bitcoins. The purported hacker(s) issued this threat to PwC: “All major news media outlets are going to be sent an encrypted copy of the most recent tax years that your company had on file since you did not have them all in a convenient electronic form.” “The years before 2010 will be of great interest to many. If the parties interested do not want the encrypted key released to the public to unlock these documents on September 28 of this year then payment will be necessary.” “The deal is quite simple. Convert $1,000,000 USD to Bitcoins (Google if if you need a lesson on what Bitcoin is) using the various markets available out in the world for buying.” “Transfer the Bitcoins gathered to the Bitcoin address listed below. It does not matter if small amounts or one large amount is transferred, as long as the final value of the Bitcoins is equal to $1,000,000 USD at the time when it is finished.” “The keys to unlock the data will be purged and what ever is inside the documents will remain a secret forever. Failure to do this before September 28, the entire world will be allowed to view the documents with a publicly released key to unlock everything.” “Bitcoin Address to Stop Release: [redacted]” “At the same time, the other interested parties will be allowed to compete with you. For those that DO want the documents released will have an different address to send to.” “If $1,000,000 USD is sent to this account first; then the encryption keys will be made available to the world right away. So this is an equal opportunity for the documents to remain locked away forever or to be exposed before the September 28 deadline.” “Who-ever is the winner does not matter to us.” Romney is locked in a dead heat with Obama with two months to go before the election. One way or another, the tax return issue keeps rearing its ugly head. Should Mitt release more tax returns? Who are you voting for in November?
