Papa John’s is a sponsor and advertiser of the NFL, and Schnatter believes athletes taking a knee against injustice has caused NFL viewership to drop — thus angering shareholders. Since news of Schnatter’s statement hit the web, Papa John’s has been dragged on social media and according to CBS news , Schnatter lost $70 million in one day. Now late night television host Conan O’Brien is chiming in with a hilarious video of how Papa John’s could increase their sales and tie it in with the NFL protests. Check it out below.

School administrators in a community outside of Boston, Massachusetts, offered an apology after a photo appearing to show a young Black girl held on a leash by two white students, swept the internet. The photo shows an instructor along with two white students and one black student decked out in 17th-century attire, while the two white students held a leash attached to the young Black girl kneeling on the floor. According to The Boston Globe , the photo was taken during an October 13 class discussion when a member of the Plimoth Plantation historical museum visited the class for a history lesson. Bridgewater is a small town located 32 miles south of Boston, Massachusetts. In an email obtained by The Globe, Derek Swenson , superintendent of the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District, apologized for the optics but went into great detail to give the photo context. School officials would not go into specific details or name the involved parties in order to  protect the minors involved. “Through our investigation, it was explained by the director of education from Plimoth Plantation that a portion of the lesson focused on 17th century attire — particularly the garments worn by parents, children, toddlers, and infants,” he said. “Specifically the garment worn by toddlers commonly used tethering straps to assist them when learning to walk.” Rob Kluim,  the museum’s spokesperson, also apologized for the photo in a statement to The Globe. He explained the students and instructor were depicting a 17th Century family,  mother and her three children, with one of the children wearing a garment with leading strings. “We are deeply saddened by this, as our museum’s educational mission is to provide fun and engaging encounters with the history of the 17th-century Atlantic world,” Kluim said. Beantown Bigot: Boston Cop Suspended 6 Months Without Pay For Racist Video “Black People Have Met Their Match”

Image via Timothy Tai for The Boston Globe/Getty Images Boston Police Officer Suspended Over Racist Video The BostonHerald is reporting that 4 1/2 year veteran piece of s#!t Officer Joseph DeAngelo Jr has been suspended without pay for 6 month after a he distributed a racist video to his buddies for s#its and giggles. Apparently this is the stuff that Officer DeAngelo finds hilarious. No surprise there, he is Boston cop. We already know how THEY get down. @bostonpolice officer Joseph DeAngelo Jr. wrote a letter of apology after making a “racially insensitive” video. #Boston pic.twitter.com/cQXkCMYZRM — Jan Ransom (@Jan_Ransom) June 29, 2017 Subsequent to his suspension, DeAngelo wrote this fake azz “apology” letter. Police Commissioner William B. Evans seems more than satisfied that it’s genuine and heartfelt… “It was clear from Officer DeAngelo’s interview that he feels significant remorse for his actions and now realizes the impact this video has had on our community,” Evans said. “Officer DeAngelo readily admitted to the conduct and has fully taken responsibility for his actions.” There is no way that DeAngelo should be welcomed back to a badge and a gun after an incident like this. There is ZERO room for any level of racism in a police force that has the power to dictate the life and death of Black citizens. F**k ’em.

This Toddler Just Called the Cops on His Dad

Dialing 911 is not a laughing matter. This is an emergency assistance line that must be kept open unless one or someone one knows is actually in need of emergent assistance. But Robbie Richardson has made it impossible for readers not to at least have a chuckle over his recent actions. A five-year old resident of Massachusetts, Richardson recently called authorities… on his father… because he ran a red light. “He tells me, ‘Hey Dad, you just went through a red light,’” Robbie’s father, Michael Richardson, told CBS Boston. “And I said, ‘No Robbie, you can go through that one as long as you stop and there’s nobody coming you can go.’ “He says, ‘No you can’t. That light was red.’ So we get into the car wash and he says, ‘I’m going to call the police.’” And then Robbie really did call the police! You can hear portions of said call in the video below. “My daddy went past a red light,” Robbie told the 911 operator. “He has a black truck. He was in the brand new car, my mommy’s car.” “And then what happened?” the dispatcher inquired. “And he had to go to the car wash and then he went past the red light,” Robbie replied. The police then asked to speak to Michael, who apologized; both for his actions and for those of his son. “Everyone follows the rules, but not Daddy,” Robbie told the Boston Globe, adding that if it happened again, he wouldn’t call the police. “I’ll call the eye doctor so he can fix his eyes.” This little guy (who wants to be a police officer when he grows up) rules.

Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox: It’s Over!

Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox began dating in late 2009. They were regarded by many as one of Hollywood’s most random couples and now it seems that after nearly five years of dating Eliza has bid farewell not only to Fox but to the entire West Coast. Dushku has returned home to her native Boston in order to go to school, and based on comments she recently made to The Boston Globe , the 33-year-old actress may have split with Fox simply because he wasn’t willing to join her back East.  “Rick’s an LA guy and I’m a Boston girl,” Dushku told the newspaper  in a remarkably candid interview. “I’d rather be a little physically cold here than emotionally cold in LA. I missed my town and I missed my family.” Dushku says she doesn’t yet know where she wants to go to school or what she’d like to study, but she does know that she’s weirdly psyched that her new condo has a basement. “Nobody in LA has a basement!” Dushku told the Globe. “They all have the obligatory storage spaces in the Valley.” In other news: we imagine Rick Fox is pretty bummed to hear that he got dumped for a basement.  Celebrity Break-Ups of 2014 1. Naya Rivera and Big Sean Naya Rivera and Big Sean called it quits while rumors that he cheated took the celebrity gossip blogosphere by storm.

When The Checks Stop Coming In: Terrell Owens Desperately Wants A Chance To Play For The New England Patriots

T.O. should look up definition of “black-balled” Terrell Owens Wants An Opportunity To Play For The New England Patriots Via CBSSports The Patriots are in desperate need of experienced wide receivers, and Terrell Owens, who last played in a regular-season game in 2010, desperately wants back in the league. So it stands to reason that T.O. would make a case for the Patriots giving him another chance at NFL redemption. “Obviously the situation with the Patriots, they are starting out with a lot of new guys,” Owens told the Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn. “You never know how management is thinking, what their process is as far as bringing in veterans. “I understand they may look at my age as an issue but I’m not your average 39-year-old. I think if you watch me work out, I’m not really concerned about injuries or anything like that. Plus, I’ll be getting paid the vet minimum, so it’s not like I am asking for any extra incentive in my contract.” Owens is right: Compared to other 39-year-olds, he’s a freak of nature. But that still doesn’t translate in a league where the average career is less than five years. In 2012, T.O. lasted just 20 days in Seahawks’ training camp, a stint that included more preseason drops (3) than receptions (2). It was further proof that his best days are receding in the rearview. Owens, meanwhile, thinks it has more to do with his off-field issues than his lack of on-field productivity. “I think it’s the reputation of the things I’ve done in the past,” he said. “People won’t let my mistakes die. It’s just puzzling for me. I’m just keeping my faith, staying patient, and praying I get another opportunity.” Despite all his isht-talkin’ and shenanigans, T.O. stays in damn good shape, guess Image via AP
