Despite nearly 26 years (!) on the air, The Simpsons has made more pop culture headlines in the past few months than all the other animated sitcoms combined. Earlier this summer, we learned that Lena Dunham will play Homer’s girlfriend when he and Marge breakup in the show’s upcoming 27th season. That was followed by zeitgeist-y moments such as Caitlyn Jenner getting The Simpsons treatment and the revelation that the show predicted a Donald Trump presidency . But while the beloved series has been maintaining its cultural relevance and inspiring tributes for years, nothing could prepare fans for Okilly Dokilly – the Phoenix-based metal band inspired by the life and legend of Springfield’s friendliest neighbor-ino, Ned Flanders. The band’s members – Head Ned, Red Ned, Thread Ned, Stead Ned, and Bled Ned – all rock Flanders’ signature green sweater, wire-rimmed glasses and push-broom mustache, but the Ned-cenrtic vibe doesn’t end there. ”Most of our songs are direct Ned quotes,” vocalist Head Ned claims. “[It’s] not as fast as Bartcore, and a little cleaner than Krusty Punk. Not as heavy as ‘Homer J.ent’—Nedal is a happy medium in the Simpscene.” Yes, there’s a “Simpscene” and the band describes it’s sound as “Nedal.” It’s more awesome than Ned’s man cave or lamer than a sermon from Reverend Lovejoy, depending on your perspective. It looks like Jeremy Renner can finally breathe a sigh of relief as he has FINALLY reached a settlement with his estranged wife, Sonni Pacheco. The settlement includes custody and child support for their 2-year-old daughter, Ava. Jeremy Renner and Sonni Pacheco have had a rollercoaster romance after they secretly got married in September of last year, then broke up shortly afterward. After the split, Renner alleged that Pacheco threatened to leak racy videos if he didn’t follow through with getting her a green card and give her financial stability. It was also revealed after the split that Sonni had done a whole host of reckless things, and stopped breastfeeding because she felt guilty about drinking alcohol. Now it appears the two parties have resolved their differences, however. According to TMZ, Sonni will NOT get spousal support since the marriage only just 10 months. We bet Jeremy’s happy that he had a prenup drawn up, right? The custody will be split 50/50 which is a far cry from what Sonni was seeking – Ava all to herself. Sonni will also receive a sum of $13,000 a month for child support. Jeremy’s lawyer, Laura Wasser seems to think it’s all over, but Sonni’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, seems to think otherwise. Ed Sheeran and Athina Andrelos are over. The couple called things off after a year of dating, the 24-year-old British singer-songwriter has confirmed. Sheeran told an Australian radio station that he is newly single, following speculation he and Athina had split up after the 2015 BRIT Awards last month. “I wasn’t single, I was in a relationship for a long time,” Ed said, but he is on the market now, having parted ways with the 23-year-old Athina recently. What happened? An argument at a BRIT Awards after-party last month was said to be the catalyst, or the final straw. A source told Heat magazine: ” “The final straw was at the after-party. Jeremy Renner and estranged wife Sonni Pacheco were already in the midst of the one of the uglier celebrity splits and custody battles in recent memory. It just got even nastier, too. According to new legal documents filed by the actor, Pacheco tried to extort him by threatening to leak intimate videos. Jeremy Renner and Sonni Pacheco split up in December, and he says she’s threatened him not to renege on his promise to help her get a green card. Renner claims she has admitted repeatedly to marrying him for a green card and financial stability, and is willing to go to extreme lengths to get both. Should he fail to pony up ample child support and do what he can to keep her in the U.S., she supposedly told her roommate, she’ll leak the videos. Of what, it’s not clear, but what’s deniable is that Renner is in the middle of a bitter child custody fight just months after their secret marriage was revealed . Their nearly two-year-old daughter Ava is caught in the middle of Sonni Pacheco’s quest for primary custody and more than $13,000 a month in child support. Jeremy, who has been sharing custody 50-50 since they split up in December, says there have been plenty of cases of bad parenting on her part. The worst? Allegedly, she left Ava home last year for 15 minutes, taking an Uber to a party and not checking to see if someone was home to watch her. Her roommate also filed a declaration stating that Sonni smokes and drinks and stopped breastfeeding because she felt guilty about drinking alcohol .
