Amanda Seyfried For Marie Claire UK of the Day

I am a fan of Amanda Seyfried when she’s out promoting movies, cuz she decides to shower. It’s a little step she takes that makes her look as fucking amazing as she has the capability of looking, her little elf ears and all, but the rest of the year, bitch looks like a dumpy homeless chick with a stinky pussy I’d still like to taste, cuz I may or may not be in love with her and we may or may not be connected at the soul….clearly the best thing to hit the internet or hollywood since Lohan….Seyfried was the real Mean Girls star… Here she is in Marie Clarie UK….steppin’ it up for movie sales…cuz that’s just the kind of whore she is… This Post is Dedicated to the Memory of the Guy who pictched Toshiba on an Earthquake Stopping Machine but who got fired…

Kanye West And Jay-Z Harness Social Media For Watch The Throne

After MCs serve up H.A.M. on joint album’s fan page, execs at Def Jam, Facebook reveal MCs’ social strategy to MTV News. By Jenny McCoy, with additional reporting by Rahman Dukes Kanye West at Facebook headquarters Photo: Facebook These days, among other things, the hip-hop release playbook requires an active Facebook account, a fact rap heavyweights Kanye West and Jay-Z are obviously aware of. Just after midnight on Tuesday (January 11), the MCs gave fans a first listen to “H.A.M,” the lead single from Watch the Throne — in exchange for a “like” on the Facebook page for their collaborative album. The Watch the Throne page uses Facebook’s most popular music application, BandPages, to stream the single, and it has amassed more than 57,000 fans in just three days. “It’s great to see artists turning to social platforms to get their music out to their fans. The music release process isn’t about radio play anymore — it’s about finding fans where they live, getting songs to the people who care,” said Brenna Ehrlich, news editor at Mashable.com. Indeed, this tactic is just another example of a growing trend in the hip-hop community and the music industry at large. “While people have been able to share their music tastes on Facebook since the beginning, and we saw the emergence of social music applications gain popularity when we opened our platform in 2007, we’re still just at the beginning of this new world of music and technology,” said Meredith Chin, a staffer at Facebook’s corporate communications department. “It will be exciting to see how things evolve over time based on the creativity and imagination of musicians and their fans.” And in the wake of MySpace, the self-proclaimed “entertainment destination for Gen Y,” announcing a 47 percent staff reduction , Kanye and Jay-Z’s release strategy is just another indication of Facebook’s growing share of the social music space. Recently, both Lil Wayne and Avril Lavigne offered fans similar single-stream capabilities, but Kanye and Jay-Z made their release distinctive by directing fans to an album-specific fan page rather than simply leveraging their existing pages, which are home to 5.4 and 6.1 million fans, respectively. “I think it was smart to launch their own page, but I would have used both accounts as well. That way fans would be able to easily find the track, rather than going to a brand-new page,” Ehrlich said. Representatives for Def Jam revealed to MTV News that the idea to release “H.A.M.” via social-media network came from none other than Hov. “It was Jay-Z’s camp who set that up,” said JD Anderson, manager of new media for Def Jam. “The application also used in the strategy, RootMusic, has the capability to stream music on Facebook.” According to Anderson, the two rappers took advantage of their massive combined Facebook following to showcase the first effort from the upcoming album.”We launched it off of Jay’s Facebook, then we were sending people to the Watch the Throne new page,” Anderson explained. “Kanye has 5 million and Jay has 6 million. Everyone’s on Facebook, so the only thing that was lacking was the capability to stream music.” While there’s still no concrete release date for Watch the Throne, a rep for Def Jam revealed the LP will drop on the Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam imprint. Researchers Ditch Toxic Nanoparticle Chemicals for Delicious Cinnamon

Nanoparticles these days are quietly being slipped into products and processes as diverse as electronics, healthcare products (like sunscreen), and pharmaceuticals to fight cancer. http://www.dailytech.com/Arsenic+Nanoparticle+Fights+Breast+Cancer/article19058…. But for all that promise, there's a dark side. In order to make nanoparticles like tiny gold nanoparticles( http://www.dailytech.com/Gold+Nanoparticles+Dont+Just+Look+Pretty+They+Fight+Can… ) or titanium dioxide nanoparticles, caustic chemicals frequently are required. Scientists are concerned that minute quantities of those chemicals could harm the human body( http://www.dailytech.com/Nanotech+the+New+Asbestos+Carbon+Nanotube+Toxicity/arti… ), causing cancer or other diseases. But a University of Missouri research team, led by MU Physics and Radiology Professor Kattesh Katti thinks they have a solution — cinnamon. The team mixed gold salts in water with cinnamon and discovered that they remarkably formed nanoparticles. Typically such particles form only when exposed to an electric field or when toxic chemicals are added to the mix. Fellow radiology professor Raghuraman Kannan, who participated in the study, comments, “The procedure we have developed is non-toxic. No chemicals are used in the generation of gold nanoparticles, except gold salts. It is a true 'green' process.” Professor Katti adds, “From our work in green nanotechnology, it is clear that cinnamon — and other species such as herbs, leaves and seeds — will serve as a reservoir of phytochemicals and has the capability to convert metals into nanoparticles. Therefore, our approach to 'green' nanotechnology creates a renaissance symbolizing the indispensable role of Mother Nature in all future nanotechnological developments.” More serendipitous yet, the cinammon nanoparticles were found to release phytochemicals found in cinnamon debris. These phytochemicals have been shown to kill or reduce the growth of certain types of cancer cells. So not only are these particles non-toxic, but they also fight cancer. Professor Katti elates, “Our gold nanoparticles are not only ecologically and biologically benign, they also are biologically active against cancer cells.” It all sounds too good to be true, but the team insists that the approach is reliable. They hope to ready it for production so that the new cinnamon-gold nanoparticles can replace existing toxic varieties. The study on the work was published in the journal Pharmaceutical Research. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20872051 added by: toyotabedzrock

Air Force’s Falcon Hypersonic Glider Disappears Mysteriously

The Air Force's Falcon Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2—designed to attack global targets at Mach 20—has disappeared nine minutes into its first test flight, just after separating from its booster. Contact was lost, and it hasn't been found yet. The Falcon was supposed to splash down in the Pacific Ocean after a 30-minute, 4,100-nautical-mile test flight. Not to be confused with the unmanned X-37B space shuttle—which launched on April 22—the Falcon Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 blasted off last week from the Vandenberg Air Force Base on a Minotaur IV rocket. Instead of completing its flight, however, the Air Force lost all contact with the aircraft. According to DARPA's Johanna Spangenberg Jones: Preliminary review of data indicates the HTV-2 achieved controlled flight within the atmosphere at over Mach 20. Then contact with HTV-2 was lost. This was our first flight (all others were done in wind tunnels and simulations) so although of course we would like to have everything go perfectly, we still gathered data and can use findings for the next flight, scheduled currently for early 2011. Just that: The telemetry data signal vanished, and the aircraft is nowhere to be found. Being a semi-secret project, nothing else has been disclosed. The only logical explanations are 1) a massive structural failure, 2) Nazi UFOs or 3) somebody lost it in a beer garden. I will pick number two for the time being. The hypersonic glider is built by Lockheed Martin under a DARPA program. It's designed to launch conventional weapons against any target in the planet in just one hour. This capability makes it a perfect substitute for Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles. Unlike ICBMs loaded with conventional heads, the plane can't be mistaken with a nuclear missile, so it won't make other nuclear powers to hit the red button. Maybe. http://gizmodo.com/5526308/air-forces-falcon-hypersonic-glider-disappears-myster… added by: pjacobs51
