Battle of the Babes: Kirsten Dunst vs. Chloë Sevigny

Chloë Sevigny and Kirsten Dunst were both 90’s “it” girls in their own ways, and have managed to maintain successful, if not wildly sporadic, careers well into the 2010’s. Kardashians: Deceiving Fans With Illegal Instagrams?

The Kardashians are famous for being paid oodles of cash to promote a product, but are they playing by the rules (or rather, the law) when it comes to sponsored posts? According to Page Six , a letter from watchdog group Truth In Advertising reportedly sent a letter to momager Kris Jenner’s legal team, warning her that they “have found that members of the Kardashian/Jenner family are engaged in deceptive marketing campaigns .” The group has been meticulously following the Instagram accounts of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as their younger sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and gathered 27 companies – incluing Puma, Calvin Klein, JetSmarter, Fit Tea, Estée Lauder and Karl Lagerfeld – they were working with. What the group found was “a plethora of posts that do not clearly or conspicuously disclose their relationships with the companies being promoted in the posts as is required by federal law.” The group has informed Jenner that if the issues aren’t “fully corrected” by Wednesday, the family will be reported to the Federal Trade Commission. It’s no secret that the Kardashians have been hawking products since Keeping Up With The Kardashians became wildly popular in 2007, but federal law requires that a company and its participants clearly state that the post is sponsored.  “The law is clear and people are not following it, and it’s not being enforced very often,” TINA spokeswoman Bonnie Patten told Page Si x. Social media is becoming the new medium for advertising, and this law is making it even more difficult for a celebrity or person of influence to share a product with followers without being asked, “is this sponsored? Are you being paid to promote this?” The Fashion Law website broke it down for readers, clarifying what constitutes a sponsored post . “Is posting a photo an endorsement? The FTC says yes!” The Fashion Law explains. “A photo is enough to trigger the need to disclose: Simply posting a picture of a product on social media, such as on Pinterest or Instagram, or a video of you using it, could convey that you like and approve of the product. If it does, it’s an endorsement and must be disclosed.” View Slideshow: 14 Times Celebrities Totally Failed on Social Media

The Voice Coaches Team Up for Epic "Dream On" Rendition

When The Voice Season 11 premieres on September 19, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will be in competition with each other. They'll be jostling and arguing over which prospective contestants will be a part of their team. But the singers put all (jovial) animosity aside on Sunday night, teaming up for a special 30-minute preview of The Voice. The preview aired after NBC's coverage of the Summer Olympics, which ended up being extremely appropriate. Because Miley, Blake, Adam and Alicia put on a Gold Medal-worthy performance to conclude the special. It features all four artists on stage, belting out a version of the Aerosmith classic, “Dream On.” At one point, Levine even made Steven Tyler proud with his very impression rendition of Tyler's famous high-pitched vocals. It was pretty astounding, actually. We're not sure if anyone else in the music business could have pulled it off. Earlier in the episode, we were treated to a sneak peek at two of this season’s Blind Auditions, with the talent level threatening to reach its highest point to date. We couldn't believe a couple of the aspiring singers were just 17 years old. But that's all for a few weeks from now. You'll get to know the contestants a lot better on September 19 when The Voice returns. For now, we strongly recommend that readers give these coaches a few minutes of their time in order to check out their “Dream On” rendition. It's fantastic.

Vin Diesel Speaks at Paul Walker Memorial, Thanks Fans For Loving "Angel in Heaven"

Vin Diesel gave an emotional speech at the Paul Walker crash site and makeshift memorial Monday night, addressing the throng of fans who have gathered there. Paul’s co-star in the Fast and the Furious films addressed his fellow mourners, thanking them for “showing that angel in heaven how much you appreciate him.” Diesel and Walker considered each other close friends off camera, and it showed as Vin spoke to the star’s fans with a heavy heart. Check out the clip: Vin Diesel Speaks to Crowd at Paul Walker Memorial When Vin arrived at the site, an officer allowed him to use the loudspeaker from a police car to address the crowd with his short but heartfelt speech. “To show the love that you have shown Paul,” an emotional Diesel told Walker’s fans, speaking for so many of them, “it’s gonna stay with me forever.” No doubt Paul Walker’s father would approve, and agree. After the speech, TMZ asked Vin about the future of the movie franchise, and he replied, “I can’t even think about anything but the loss of a loved one.” Check out their version of Diesel’s appearance below … Vin Diesel Gets Emotional About Paul Walker Like Tyrese before him, the loss of Paul is clearly hitting Vin and the rest of the Fast family especially hard. Fast and Furious 7 is understandably on hold following the actor’s death , but he just finished his latest film Hours , which hits theaters next weekend. He talks about it in one of his last interviews (below), telling Movie Fanatic that the experience ranks among the best in not only his career, but his life: R.I.P. Firefighters Rescue Dog from Austin Flood, Carry Grateful Canine to Safety

This photo ought to make your week. The Austin Fire Department has been unfortunately very busy over the last few days, coming to the aid of those affected by massive flooding in the area. With over 15 inches of rain falling on Central Texas, entire neighborhoods have been evacuated and rescue workers have been on the scene around the clock. But it’s not just those with two legs who need assistance, as photographer Preston Culver captured a heartwarming moment between firefighters Matt Harvey and Michael Cooper yesterday. Check out their admirable effort below in pulling a canine to safety: This lucky pooch wasn’t the only furry friends to be saved by generous human beings over the past few weeks. Feel better about humanity via this story about an abandoned dog nursed back to health and this tale of a pit bull being rescued from a sewer .
