Karla began engaging with the alleged “Tyler Perry” on Facebook but they have never spoken or met in person. In fact, after a year of communicating online, “Tyler” asked Karla to marry him. He even claims she’s the biological mother of the two-year-old son she did not give birth to. Karla’s daughters are pleading with her to understand that she’s being scammed and that the man she met and is giving money to is not the real Tyler Perry. Karla believes that is impossible. Lupita Nyong’o Ready To Date Jared Leto Jared Leto has made no secret about how sprung he is over Luptia Nyong’o . He can’t seem to keep his eyes (or hands) off of her every time the two are in the same room. Lupita was in a relationship for most of last year, so she was always kept things friendly despite all his flirtation — but now that she’s newly single, Lupita is ready for Jared to man up and lock her down. Apparently, she’s tired of Jared gushing over how gorgeous she is and hugging up all over her at awards parties but never actually making a move. As a source close with the starlet shared with HollywoodLife : “Lupita is totally up for a romance with Jared!” “She and her boyfriend K’naan split months ago and she’s definitely ready for a relationship with the right guy. She likes Jared…problem is that although Jared loves to flirt he doesn’t seem interested in taking it further than that. When they see each other Jared is so incredibly flirty always touching her and telling her how gorgeous she is. He even talks about taking her out but so far he hasn’t followed through.” “He says he’ll call, but then weeks and months go by before they see each other at another awards show.” Jared stays all over Lupita in public, so one would think that it’d be no problem for him to go on and officially put his bid in. He better man up before someone else swoops in and leaves him in the friend-zone dust!
‘We gave him a shot at it,’ Jadakiss tells ‘Sway in the Morning.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Styles P and Jadakiss of the LOX Photo: Phil McCarten/ Getty Images There will be a new LOX album, eventually, but it won’t be released on Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. “Nah, we went over there, we gave him a shot at it,” Jadakiss told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway when he appeared on his “Sway in the Morning” satellite radio show on Tuesday (May 8). In 1998, the LOX — comprised of ‘Kiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch — released their debut album, Money, Power, Respect, with the house that Diddy built, but their relationship soon soured. When it came time to drop their sophomore LP, We Are the Streets, the LOX made the move to Ruff Ryders Entertainment . It’s been 12 years since the Yonkers, New York, trio dropped an album, and they have since reconciled with Puff, but there are hurdles standing in the way of future business between both parties. “He wanted to do it, but I don’t think contractually with all of the forces, we weren’t able to do it, but he’s still the big homie,” Jada said, without revealing where the group may sign. Since making their initial move away from Bad Boy, each group member went on to sign separate solo deals, making any would-be agreement for a new LOX album very tricky. During an August 2011 interview, Styles P tried to break things down. “It’s a lot of heads involved with the new LOX album. You got Ruff Ryders, you got Bad Boy, you got Interscope. It’s a lot of politics in one set of paperwork, but it’s gettin’ close,” the Ghost said several months ago. Though the Bad Boy deal is off the table, ‘Kiss and company will forever be tied to the storied label. It was there where they first learned to refine their raw rhyme talent and craft hit records. The crew has often credited the Notorious B.I.G. with their development, so when Sway asked Jada about his thoughts on a prospective Biggie holographic performance, similar to the Tupac stunt Dr. Dre pulled at Coachella last month, Mr. So Raspy was all for it. “It cost a lot, so I think Diddy with his connection to Interscope and Jimmy, I still think he got the resources to do a Big joint whenever he goes out to do a big tour; that’ll be cool,” Jadakiss said. “I think it was good for the ‘Pac lovers and for these young cats that ain’t really get the chance to see him or understand him. But I think if they gonna do it, we should try to do Big L, Pun — let’s do all of the fallen soldiers of hip-hop and let the people get a chance to see ’em at one of these big venues.” Catch MTV News’ Sway Calloway on “Sway in the Morning,” on SiriusXM Radio’s Shade 45 , Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon ET.
‘MTV First’ shares exclusive preview of epic showdown. By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Charlize Theron in “Snow White and the Huntsman” Photo: Universal An exclusive, never-before-seen clip from the upcoming film ” Snow White and the Huntsman ” kicked off “MTV First” by teasing an epic showdown between Kristen Stewart ‘s titular princess and Charlize Theron ‘s Evil Queen Ravenna. As thrilling as the sneak preview might have been, it left fans dying to know what happens when the two enemies finally do square off when the film hits theaters June 1. The clip does give a little more insight into the beef between Ravenna and Snow White: Obviously, the Queen wants to be fairest of them all, but the death of Snow White’s father certainly adds an emotional element to the bout. In the scene, we learn that the Queen is responsible. When MTV News’ Josh Horowitz spoke with Theron at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in January, the Academy Award-winning actress seemed impressed with her co-stars fighting spirit. “She was a good fight,” Theron shared. “The bitch brought it!” Even though Theron was able to put up a fight against Stewart, she was no match for her unwieldy costumes , which might have done more damage. “The costumes were more damaging than the actual fight sequences,” she explained. “I was way more bruised from my costume than I was from [fighting]. Doing a fight sequence in your sweatpants is different than wearing an 80-pound steel thing.” At the very least, Theron could commiserate with her co-star. “[Stewart] was in full metal, I was in full metal, just getting down, it took us four hours,” Theron said. ‘It’s going to blow people’s minds,’ screenwriter tells MTV News about the in-the-works adaptation. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Diablo Cody Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Diablo Cody explored the life of one particular “Young Adult” author in her screenplay for the Charlize Theron film. Next up, she herself is taking on the challenge of adapting a beloved young-adult franchise, “Sweet Valley High,” for the big screen. And while she’s knee-deep in work for the project, when MTV News caught up with the screenwriter at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on Thursday night in Los Angeles, she revealed one very juicy detail about the adaptation. “Oh my gosh! OK, so I am so excited about ‘Sweet Valley High.’ There’s original songs being written for it right now, which is the most exciting development. They’re amazing. They’re being written by these Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning songwriters from Broadway who are the best,” she gushed, confirming that the film will be a musical version of the novels. “Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt, who wrote [the Broadway show] ‘Next to Normal’; they’re amazing and I’m sorry, I could go on and on. But I’m very excited about ‘Sweet Valley High.’ It’s going to blow people’s minds. I haven’t really had the chance to talk about this yet, so it’s exciting.” The Francine Pascal novels (which debuted in 1983) follow the lives of twin teenagers, Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, who live in Sweet Valley, California. The series is full of puppy love, teen angst and the kind of drama and comedy that keeps people tuning into the CW and ABC Family week after week. If you’ve never read the books before, Cody assures you that you can still love the movie. “It [has] a lot of familiar ’80s awesomeness for fans of the series, and if you’ve never heard of ‘Sweet Valley High’ you will want to,” she said, noting that casting plans are still to be determined. “Obviously I will be playing the twins. Old-fashioned ’60s-style split screen,” she joked. Dylan performed ‘Blind Willie McTell,’ a song used in Scorsese’s PBS documentary series ‘The Blues.’ By Eric Ditzian Bob Dylan performs at the 16th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Any excuse to hear Bob Dylan play live is a pleasure. The experience is made all the more pleasurable when it’s in the service of honoring filmmaker Martin Scorsese . Such was the case at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on Thursday (January 12) when Scorsese was selected as the Music + Film honoree. After a scorching montage that touched on not only his feature films but his excellent work in musical documentaries — from the Band’s “Last Waltz” to the Rolling Stones’ “Shine a Light” — Dylan took the stage to perform “Blind Willie McTell,” a tune included in Scorsese’s PBS documentary series “The Blues.” The two artists’ connection goes back further though, back to the 2005 doc “No Direction Home,” which follows Dylan through his musical and cultural development in the 1960s. After an introduction by Leonardo DiCaprio, Scorsese took the stage to deliver a heartfelt speech about how music first impacted his life and how it has influenced his cinematic work. “Such a great honor and an amazing performance by the great one, Bob Dylan,” he began. “This award has a very special significance to me, so I’d like to begin with a special thank-you to Django Reinhardt, St

‘The bitch brought it!’ she tells MTV News at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards about ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ rival. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Charlize Theron attends the 2012 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Photo: Getty Images It’s no secret that we are very excited about Kristen Stewart’s first big non-“Twilight” movie, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” which made it through to the Sweet 16 in the MTV Movie Brawl 2012 . We’re excited not only because Stewart is the star, but because she is playing an action-star version of Snow White and faces off against a very formidable Evil Queen in Charlize Theron. The last time we caught up with Theron, she hadn’t yet filmed the big fight sequence with Stewart but admitted that she hoped her Evil Queen might get the best of Stewart’s Snow White. “I’m just really, really, really hoping I get to kill her,” she said with a smile. “That is how the story ends up, right?” We’re pretty sure that isn’t how the story ends — especially since we happened to bump into Theron again at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on Thursday (January 12), and she seemed to be changing her previous tune. When we asked the Oscar winner and Best Actress CCMA nominee for “Young Adult” if she’d filmed the epic fight sequence, she didn’t seem too keen to divulge any details. “Yeah,” she admitted, “but I don’t want to talk about it.” Why didn’t Theron want to talk about it? Did the fight not end in her favor? “I don’t want to talk about it. No! No, it’s going to be a surprise,” she said, resisting our probing questions. “Dammit, I give you way too much. People have to pay money to go see the movie to see what happens.” Theron finally relented a bit and revealed that Stewart’s Snow White does, indeed, kick some ass. “She was a good fight,” Theron said. “She was a good fight. The bitch brought it! There you go. Now you have something.” Stick with MTV News all night for the 2012 Critics’ Choice Awards winners , and don’t miss all the fashion from the red carpet ! Justin Bieber was in New York City yesterday for the New York Premiere of ‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never’ at Regal E-Walk Theater. Justin also found time to catch a basketball game. Justin was courtside at the Knicks-Mavericks game at Madison Square Garden. Now when you attend these events it sometimes happens that the Jumbotron catches ya and puts your pic up. So low and behold Justin’s picture was shown on the Jumbotron for all to see. Now what would you expect to happen? Not what happened! A chorus of boos rang out around the MSG. The announcer felt the need to say “That is the men booing, not the ladies” The big smile on Justin’s face disappeared for a bit. But it soon returned and he seemed like a good sport about it. Meanwhile Justin said about the film ”My favorite part was probably going back to my hometown and being with my friends” Tweet
