Chris Cooper Cast as Norman Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2!

Big casting news from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 , which is already in production! Chris Cooper will join the cast of the comic book movie sequel, playing Norman Osborn! Osborn was played by Willem DaFoe, who definitely shares a similar look with Cooper, in the Sam Raimi trilogy. In that series, the character becomes the villainous Green Goblin, and reports are that Cooper’s Osborn will do the same, either in this film or the next one. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone , Sally Field, and Martin Sheen will return to their roles, with Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Shailene Woodley, and Dane DeHaan joining on. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will hit theaters May 2, 2014. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Sally Field (who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Lincoln ), and Martin Sheen. In David Cronenberg’s new film A Dangerous Method , Keira Knightley plays Sabina Spielrein, a young woman who at times lapses into fits of hysterics and at other times, comfortably discusses masturbation and the arousing aspects of her father’s beatings. Originally though, this complicated character (and the onscreen spankings she endures) were not intended for the Pirates of the Caribbean star — but for Julia Roberts, America’s Longest-Reigning Sweetheart.
