Kirsten Gillibrand and Connie Britton Throwback Photo Goes Viral, Is Totally Awesome

Clear eyes. Full Hearts. Can’t believe this incredible throwback photo! In Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s new memoir, “Off the Sidelines,” the politician talks about her life in and out of office, including her thoughts on the current system of government and many other personal tidbits. But whatever. No one is talking about that stuff at the moment. Instead, the Internet is focused on a picture Gillibrand includes in the book: It’s of her and her roommate for a study abroad trip at Dartmouth: yup, that’s actress Connie Britton! “We were quite adventurous,” Gillibrand told HuffPost Live of her time with Britton in China. “We’d spend every weekend going someplace new in China and seeing and experiencing different things.” Britton is best known for her beloved role in Friday Night Lights, but she also starred in American Horror Story Season 1 and you can watch Nashville online these days to enjoy her role on ABC as a country music singer. “One weekend, we went to the beach, this place called Beihai, and we had crabs and all the great seafood,” Gillibrand added as a fun story. “We got home, we were so sick, we were all just throwing up non-stop … and my most vibrant memory is being taken to the hospital on the back of a bike, as you’re heaving – Connie was sick; I was sick – and they gave us this vial of black liquid and it was toad venom and they said drink this.” That’s weird. Inside Llewyn Davis: New Trailer Showcases the "Folk Singer with a Cat"

A new trailer has been released for the Coen Brothers’ new film,  Inside Llewyn Davis  and if ever there was a movie to take up residence in the hearts of all music geeks, this looks to be it. The Coen’s once again team up with T-Bone Burnett ( O Brother Where Art Thou ) and together they provide a beautiful soundtrack.  The film stars Oscar Issac in the title role along with Justin Timberlake , Carey Mulligan, and John Goodman. Much like another folk music film,  A Mighty Wind , the actors performed the music in the film, live.  Inside Llewyn Davis Movie Trailer Inside Llewyn Davis is scheduled for wide release on December 20th. Kyra Sedgwick Chops Off Piece of Finger in Kale Cutting Incident

No one ever said that eating healthy is a totally safe endeavor. Just ask Kyra Sedgwick. The actress was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after slicing off a piece of her finger with a kitchen knife while chopping some kale, we can only presume for something as scrumptious as kale pesto . “@kyrasedgwick in the ER. Kale isn’t ALLWAYS HEALTHY… if you chop the end of your finger off,” husband Kevin Bacon posted along with this photo of her in a bandage. As evidenced by the second picture above, however, all is well in this Hollywood household. “My Baby is fine,” Bacon later assured his followers. “All good. Still can’t find the tip of that finger @kyrasedgwick.”

Lil Snupe Funeral: Rapper Laid to Rest in Louisiana

Hundreds of mourners gathered this weekend to pay their final respects to the late Lil Snupe at the emerging rapper’s funeral. He was only 18. According to the Shreveport Times , the funeral service was held Saturday at Jonesboro-Hodge High School in Snupe’s hometown, Jonesboro, La. Mourners reportedly began arriving three hours before the service began. Rapper Meek Mill, who had signed Lil Snupe (born Addaren Ross) to his DreamChasers record label last year, was among the many funeral attendees. Also last week, a 36-year-old man suspected of murdering the teen surrendered to Louisiana police. Tony Holden has been charged with first-degree murder. RIP Snupe.

Connie Britton, Planned Parenthood Team Up on "What Would Tami Taylor Do?" T-Shirt

Planned Parenthood and Connie Britton are teaming up on a new t-shirt asking, in reference to her famous TV character: What would Tami Taylor do? Available for the month of July, the shirt reading “WWTTD? What Would Tami Taylor Do?” is designed to allow others to show support for Texas women. The back of the t-shirt boasts the URL standwithtexaswomen (dot) org. Connie, who currently stars on ABC’s Nashville , said in a statement: “The character Tami on Friday Night Lights is a Texas woman deeply committed to her community and to standing up for what is right for her neighbors and the people she loves.” “I have been inspired by how people around the country have united to stand with the women of Texas.” “I can’t help but think that, in this moment, we all have the opportunity to join with and become strong, powerful Texas men and women.” Britton’s partnership with Planned Parenthood was clearly motivated by the the Texas state legislature’s aims to impose restrictions on abortion . The proposed law, while not banning abortion, makes one so difficult to obtain that it would effectively shut down 36 of 42 clinics in the Lone Star State. State Senator Wendy Davis (D) made headlines with a 13-hour filibuster that stopped the legislation, but Gov. Rick Perry (R) has vowed to pass it. After what many felt was a cheap shot at Davis, Perry called for another session of the legislature starting today in hopes of getting the bill signed. The bill’s future is unclear, but it’s already started a movement. “These laws threaten women’s health and safety,” Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said in a statement. “Like people across the country, Connie Britton saw thousands of Texans stand up last week and demand to be heard, and she wanted to stand with them.” “She’s partnering with Planned Parenthood Action Fund on this shirt so that people all across the country can show their support.”

Mr. Skin’s Fall TV Report: ABC [VIDEO]

Upfront Week is taking place in Los Angeles this week as all the major networks (and some not-so-major ones) roll out the red carpet and present their lineups for the Fall 2012 season. ABC recently lost their #1 spot in the ratings to CBS, a position they’re hoping to retake this fall. The network renewed the sitcoms Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 , Happy Endings , and Suburgatory as well as the bikini-clad drama Revenge , and will continue to provide us with our weekly Sofia Vergara fix on Modern Family . Less lucky were the Ashley Judd drama Missing and the Christina Ricci drama Pan Am , which will now join the Charlie’s Angels reboot in TV Heaven. But the real exciting news for this fall comes in the form of new series starring some of Mr. Skin’s favorites, like Addison Timlin , Autumn Reeser , and Hall-of-Famer Alyssa Milano. ‘American Horror Story’ Season Two Is In ‘A Different World’

Creator Ryan Murphy reveals the new season will take place at an East Coast mental institution. By Jocelyn Vena Dylan McDermott in “American Horror Story” Photo: FX New place, new time, new characters. That’s what fans already know about the second season of “American Horror Story,” but now creator Ryan Murphy is dishing even more details. Speaking at a TV Academy panel Wednesday (April 19), Murphy confirmed that the second season in the series will, in fact, take place at a mental institution on the East Coast, as had been rumored. That institution will be run by season-one fan favorite Jessica Lange, who will return as a spankin’-new character. According to Murphy, that locale was teased by Sarah Paulson’s medium character in the first season. “Something that Sarah Paulson’s character, Billie Dean, says to Jessica and Taisa as she’s sage-ing the house [during the ‘Birth’ episode] and talking about places where evil collects: We talk about institutions and prisons and things like that,” Murphy said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “That was the clue.” Paulson is also set to return to the show, playing someone new, as well as Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe. While season one was set in the present, Murphy hinted that season two will take place in another time. “It’s a completely different world and has nothing to do with season one; there’s not a mention of season one,” he noted at the event, where he was joined by past castmates Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Alexandra Breckenridge and Denis O’Hare, most of whom met tragic fates in season one. But he added that some of those actors may also return in some form. In addition to some old faces, Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine has been added to the cast, playing one-half of “The Lovers.” French actress Lizzie Brochere has also joined the cast, potentially playing a nemesis to Lange’s character. In case you don’t know who this Connie Britton chick is, she was best known for her role as the hot redhead on Spin City like fifteen years ago. Anyhow, I haven’t seen her in a long time and I’ve got to say she’s looking really damn good. Here she is outside the Letterman studios in a tight ass dress that leaves nothing to the imagination. I like it. Now walk up some stairs for us. Hot.
