Pablo’s Life: New Documentary Details Kanye West’s Broken Relationship With JAY-Z Blast And…Porn?

Image via WENN Doc Breaks Down Kanye West’s Ruined Relationship With JAY-Z One of Kanye West’s old homies is spilling ALL the beans about the “extensive” collection of porn flicks he once owned in an upcoming documentary titled: Public Enemies: Jay-Z v. Kanye according to HollywoodLife : “He had African s*** throughout the house, crates of records everywhere and an extensive porno collection,” Eugene McNair, a friend from Kanye’s childhood, told Channel 4. “‘It was like damn — he likes girls, he likes clothes, he likes music, he likes African s***, he likes art and you know we all jam.” The director and editor of the doc also tell RealScreen that the doc will focus on the deterioration of Kanye’s relationship with JAY-Z: “In the process of building their empires, Jay-Z and Kanye have provided a spine tingling soundtrack for a generation,” said director Nico Wasserman in a statement. “Their story goes beyond their music and has opened up discussions on everything from class barriers to mental health.” “Arguably two of the coolest and most influential artists in the world, their incredible life stories offer a fascinating new twist on the American dream,” added Rob Coldstream, Channel 4′s commissioning editor of special factual. “These are two mega-personalities whose success and rivalry has captured the public’s imagination.” Sounds like it could be interesting. No release date is in stone, but the doc is slated to release “later this summer”. What say you? Will you be watching?

Lady Gaga Taps The Darkness To Open Born This Way Ball

Reformed British rockers are ‘honoured’ to serve as openers on European leg of Gaga’s tour, which kicks off August 14 in Bulgaria. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Joe Scarnici/ WireImage Perhaps looking for some actual Heavy Metal Lovers, Lady Gaga has tapped reunited British rockers the Darkness as the opening act on the first — though we’re willing to bet not last — leg of her Born This Way Ball, which kicks off August 14 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Darkness confirmed the news Tuesday morning (April 10) on their official site (which, in a very Darkness move, is called TheActualDarkness.com ), writing that they were “honoured [British spelling, extra classy] to announce their addition to the bill as main support for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball tour 2012.” The glammy, hammy rockers — best known for theatrical hits like “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” and “Growing on Me” — burned bright before imploding in 2006 , but announced a reunion (and plans for a new album) just last year. And as a way of kickstarting the next chapter of their career, frontman Justin Hawkins appeared in a well-received Samsung commercial that aired during Super Bowl XLV, in which he starred as a Spandex-clad pied piper who rescued folks from the monotony of everyday life. So, you know, it was basically a documentary. It’s not clear if the Darkness will serve as the opening act on all of Gaga’s Euro dates (a spokesperson for the band did not respond to MTV News’ request for comment by press time), but, thanks to the Mother Monster herself, we now know that there are European dates for the much-discussed BTW Ball. Gaga unveiled the first 21 shows early Tuesday morning on her Twitter account. After kicking off August 14 in Bulgaria, she’ll make stops in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Germany, France and the U.K. before wrapping October 6 in Barcelona. Related Videos MTV First: Lady Gaga

Katy Perry Insists ‘Tired Of Being Famous’ Comments Were ‘In Jest’

Singer takes to Twitter to say her statement to Teen Vogue was taken out of context. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry Photo: Getty Images Katy Perry has taken to Twitter to clarify some recent comments that were published in her Teen Vogue cover story. The singer took issue with the way her quotes about the perils of fame appeared in the magazine. In the issue, the singer is quoted as saying, “I’m tired of being famous already!” according to Yahoo! “But I’m not tired of creating. Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. It’s quite a delicate creature — it’s a wild animal of sorts. It can love you, and then it can attack you. “I still want to be as approachable and relatable as possible — when I meet fans and they’re crying, I’ll say, ‘Calm down, there’s nothing to cry about. I’m not going to bite you or attack you or grant you three wishes,’ ” she continued. ” ‘Let’s just hang out and have a good time.’ But really, I stopped focusing on what other people think a while ago. If you try to be everything to everyone, you’ll only end up completely confused.” On Monday night, Perry tweeted that she had not been quoted correctly in terms of the tone of her statements. O the joy of something verbally said being taking out of complete context in PRINT. This is why there’s a continuous ♥/☹ for the media world — Katy Perry (@katyperry) April 10, 2012 “O the joy of something verbally said being taking out of complete context in PRINT. This is why there’s a continuous [love/hate] for the media world,” she wrote. “U see, the fame quote was spoken in jest (which is typical of me) BUT it’s not really about that. The fact is: my success, & u my fans have afforded me the most incredible luxury: to grow as an artist & a human. THAT, I could not be more grateful for.” But it’s hardly the first time that Perry has used Twitter to explain interviews that she’s done or comments that she’s made. After being asked about dueting with Rihanna, she noted that she wanted the song to be “a little more brave” than Beyonc

Russell Brand Comments On Katy Perry’s Product-Placement Tweets

Brand discounts media allegations that his wife’s recent negative Twitter comments were aimed at Britney Spears. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Russell Brand attends the 2011 Academy Awards Photo: Getty Images Katy Perry wanted the world to know that her recent Twitter comments about the use of product placement in music videos were taken completely out of context when it was implied that the star was talking about an alternate version of Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me” clip that features some prominently displayed products. Perry’s hubby, Russell Brand, had a lot to say about the supposed dis, knocking down rumors that Perry’s remarks were implying anything about her fellow pop diva. “I think those things are made up in the papers and the media to distract people from our spirituality and the truth, and it distracts us from the way the economic situation of the world keeps certain people trapped on this plateau,” Brand told MTV News on the Oscars red carpet, with his mother by his side. “Let’s all rise up and join together. Unite!” The controversy was initially sparked earlier this month after Perry — responding to a question about product placement from her California Dreams tourmate Marina and the Diamonds — tweeted, “Do it with style and grace … Not so in [your] face like some. [You] have to get creative with it. Some artists don’t care [though, and you] can tell.” Days after that post, Perry took to Twitter again to try and clarify the meaning of her tweet and take a jab at the media for attempting to pit her against Spears. “Dear tabloid media a.k.a. FILTH: please note I expressed an overall feeling about product placement, [its] role in videos and the art of them being compliment[ary] or sticking out,” Perry wrote. “Most, if not ALL, popsters welcome deals with products [to] offset costs of big-budget vids in these recessional music industry times. I’VE used them in MY vids before and am happy [to be] able [to] make a better vid because of [them]. “Once AGAIN, stop pitting artist against artist for [your] sensational satisfaction,” she continued, “and stick to what [you’re] best [at]: lying, gossiping, exaggerating and overall lending a hand [to] the deterioration of a generation.” Do you think Katy was taking a jab at Britney’s video? Spencer Pratt Plans Heidi Montag Tell-All

‘I’m not holding anything back,’ the former ‘Hills’ star says. By Mawuse Ziegbe Spencer Pratt Photo: Jean Baptiste Lacroix/ Getty Images Spencer Pratt appears determined to ride out his breakup with Heidi Montag the same way the pair spent their short-lived marriage together: in the spotlight. The former “Hills” star told Us Weekly that he’s planning to divulge details about his relationship with his reality co-star and soon-to-be ex-wife in an upcoming tome. “My last book, ‘How to Be Famous,’ didn’t make the New York Times best-seller list because it was in the self-help section,” Pratt said. “This one is going to be totally different. I’m not holding anything back.” Pratt also revealed that the tell-all will highlight Montag’s strained relationship with her mother, Darlene , which was chronicled on “The Hills.” Montag has fired back about the forthcoming book. She recently told , “This is exactly why I left him.” Montag said she plans to halt the release of the book and told the website, “Right now, I’m looking into my legal options.” Pratt and Montag recently signed divorce papers , and their split is expected to become finalized in another six months. Earlier this year, Montag said the couple had grown apart , telling People magazine: “We just want different things in life.” However, Pratt put the deterioration of their relationship more bluntly, saying, “We love each other, but I’m a famewhore , and I’ll never grow out of it.” The planned tell-all isn’t the first time Pratt has milked his onscreen celebrity to work the publishing game. Pratt and Montag teamed up last year to write, “How to Be Famous,” an instructional guide to scoring fame with dubious credentials.
