“You can look at it in different ways,” says Petra Nemcova, 31. “Perhaps Dmitry (Chaplin, her pro partner on DWTS) knows how to work with tall people.” For someone who walks and poses for a living, Nemcova says her progression on the dance floor “is a miracle.” “I am learning how to move my body to music and it#39;s very hard work but it#39;s very rewarding,” she says. “I was worried in the beginning because I was unbalanced, un-centered, uncoordinated. I couldn#39;t do two things at once. But
Kasey Kahl was equally hesitant at first about dating Vienna Girardi. “I told myself I#39;d never date someone from the Bachelor franchise, but I met her, and everything went out the window,” he says. “She#39;s amazing. No matter what we#39;ve gone through, and no matter what she#39;s gone through, I#39;m here now, and I will make sure she#39;s the happiest girl ever.” Vienna Girardi is head over heels for her new beau Kasey Kahl, but admits she was nervous to be dating again after her highly
A week ago, Kirstie Alley fell to the floor, only to make a full recovery on Dancing With the Stars. Unfortunately, she suffered another mishap last night. This time, it was a footwear malfunction. Kirstie and Maksim Chmerkovskiy had to fight through more adversity as Alley’s left shoe fell off in mid-waltz. Just like the previous week, they recovered well enough to earn a respectable score – 22 out of 30 – plus sympathy and respect from fans and judges. Kirstie Alley Loses Shoe on Dancing With the Stars “You didn’t miss a beat,” said Carrie Ann Inaba. Bruno Tonioli agreed, while Len Goodman was less impressed, pointing out the need for improvement. Still, we’d be surprised if Kirstie and Maks were in jeopardy after a second straight week of bouncing back strongly from a somewhat freakish setback. Another gal who should be safe? Disney starlet Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, whose Viennese waltz earned them the top score of the night at 26. Watch it, and check out the full scoreboard, after the jump … Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas – DWTS Week 4 That put them just ahead of the Hines Ward and Kym Johnson and Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff. Both of those couples notched scores of 25. Len grumbled about Chelsea’s unorthodox choreography, but technically, the judges could not deny that Kane’s was the best dance of the night. At the bottom of the heap and definitely at risk of elimination tonight are Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel, who bombed with an 18. Here’s last night’s scoreboard … Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas: 26 Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff: 25 Hines Ward and Kym Johnson: 25 Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke: 23 Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin: 23 Romeo and Chelsie Hightower: 23 Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 22 Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskya: 21 Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel: 18 Who do you think is going home this evening? Does Kendra have the fan support to overcome that lack of score? It will be interesting to see. After two weeks of Dancing with the Stars , The Karate Kid remains a knuckle above the competition. Even a mediocre Jive on last night’s performance show wasn’t enough to knock Ralph Macchio from the top spot, as his 21-point effort, combined with last week’s impressive Foxtrot , leaves him with a total of 45, good for first place on the overall leaderboard. We’ll also see Kirstie Alley next week, no doubt. She and Maksim Chmerkovskiy may have only garnered a score of 20 for their Quickstep, but they concluded the routine with an improvised kiss and left viewers buzzing. It’s happy feet time! With just a couple of days to go until the disco ball trophy is handed out on Dancing With the Stars, we thought we’d check in with some DWTS vets to find…
They’ve jived and jitterbugged, waltzed and rumba’d—all with an eye on lifting the disco-ball trophy on next week’s season finale of Dancing With the Stars. Mya and her..
Mya definitely wants to make it to next week’s Dancing With the Stars finals, but she’s also kinda looking forward to the day when it all comes to an end.
Not only has season nine of Dancing with the Stars been a snooze, it’s been as predictable as any previous edition of the competition. Mya has stood out from the pack since day one, a fact that was emphasized on last night’s semifinal show. While judges referred to Donny Osmond’s performance as “pretty tragic,” Mya and Dmitry Chaplin earned another perfect score and – barring the greatest voting upset since Truman defeated Dewey – will head into next week’s finals as the clear favorite
