Griffin Dunne’s The Discoverers Shares A Clip Ahead Of Hamptons World Premiere

Love, Marilyn and Silver Linings Playbook are opening the Hamptons International Film Festival followed by a slate that includes a number of premieres. As the festival gets into full swing, ML is featuring a snippet from the world premiere of Oscar-nominated Griffin Dunne’s The Discoverers . The film centers on washed-up history professor Lewis Birch (Dunne) who takes his begrudging teenage kids – Zoe (Madeleine Martin, Californication ) and Jack (Devon Graye, American Horror Story ) – on a road trip to a conference in hopes of putting his career back on track. But, when Lewis’s estranged father Stanley (Emmy Award-winning Stuart Margolin) goes AWOL on a Lewis and Clark historical reenactment trek, Lewis is forced to make a family detour. The Birch family find themselves on a journey of discovery and connection as they make their own passage west. Added log line: The Discoverers is a bittersweet comedy and moving debut feature from writer/director Justin Schwarz led by Dunne’s striking comeback performance. This engaging tale of family dysfunction and rediscovery also features a talented ensemble cast including David Rasche, ( In the Loop ), Dreama Walker ( Compliance ), Ann Dowd ( Compliance ), Cara Buono ( Mad Men ), Becky Ann Baker ( Girls ), Scott Adsit ( 30 Rock ), and John C. This weekend Charisma Carpenter , Nan Yu and Amanda Ooms bring the feminine touch to the macho action flick The Expendables 2 , but for onscreen skin there’s only one game in town: the indie drama Compliance (2012), nude in limited release. Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 star Dreama Walker makes her nude debut as a fast-food employee forced to strip for her boss thanks to the manipulation of a pervy prank caller. The movie has been the source of some controversy, with multiple walkouts at festival screenings and and The Huffington Post dubbing it ” The most disturbing movie ever made. ” Sound like a fun night out at the movies? We’ve been telling you about Dreama Walker and her nude debut in Compliance (2012) ever since the movie caused a stir at Sundance back in January. But we gotta be honest– we’re not sure if we want to see it. It looks kind of disturbing and very thought-provoking, and when you’re in the mood for boobs, thinking too hard can be hazardous to your health. There’s simply not enough blood available for both heads at once, you see. But we do very, very much want to see Dreama topless, so now that we’ve got stills of her nude debut here at Mr. Skin, it’s like a Dreama come true (sorry, couldn’t help it). Dreama Walker’s Nude Debut Compliance Gets a Trailer [VIDEO]

There’s no getting around it- Dreama Walker is adorable. It’s the big blue doe eyes. And you probably know her from her work on sitcoms like Don’t Trust the B—- In Apartment 23 . But like all actresses (except for maybe Pamela Anderson ), Dreama wants to be taken seriously . To this end, she starts in the controversial Sundance film Compliance (2012), where she plays a fast-food cashier who’s humiliated and strip searched by her boss after an anonymous caller accuses her of stealing. Pretty heavy stuff, but at least she makes our Dreama-s come true by going topless at the 28-minute mark as she takes off her uniform and again 55 minutes in when she does nude jumping jacks. Compliance hits theaters next month, and the first trailer confirms that it will indeed be some pretty intense sh*t. Do you like these sorts of heady indie flicks, or will you be waiting for the screen caps on Mr. Skin?

No, we aren’t getting a payout from ABC for that headline. Hell, we didn’t even get a gift basket for our trouble. The reason we’re telling you to watch Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 (Tonight at 9:30/8:30 Central on ABC!), starring Dreama Walker and Krysten Ritter (above), is because the Parents’ Television Council hates it. And we hate them. Bunch of busybodies. Anyway, here’s what the PTC said in a statement released yesterday: “The program is a sexist mixed-bag of hedonism, drug-use, alcohol abuse (including the main character plying a 13-year-old boy with alcohol to get him drunk) and explicit levels of promiscuity that are shocking even by today’s broadcast TV standards.” Again, that’s Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 , tonight at 9:30/8:30 Central on ABC.
