Be afraid, Sean Lowe. Be very afraid. Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones danced his way to the Super Bowl XLVII title this month. Now he’ll be going Dancing With the Stars on ABC! Jones will be on the 16th season of the ABC dancing competition, which announced his casting. The rest of the cast will be unveiled Tuesday on GMA . The show returns March 18, a week after The Bachelor finale (follow this link for The Bachelor spoilers ) starring Lowe, who’s also rumored to be joining DWTS . Jones, 28, scored two amazing TDs in the Super Bowl. Now he’s ready to add the Mirror Ball to his trophy case a la Emmitt Smith and Hines Ward. Sounds like he’s up for the challenge , too. Asked on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month if he wanted to be on the new season’s cast, Jones said, “Oh yes sir … I’ll get it done. I’ll get it done, baby.” Aly Raisman, you are on notice.

Tricia Macke Suspended For Homophobic Rachel Maddow Comment

A homophobic remark about Rachel Maddow earned Fox anchor Tricia Macke a brief suspension, after which she apologized to the political commentator and the public. Macke, a reporter with Fox 19 Cincinnati, was removed from the air Sunday after calling MSNBC’s Maddow “such an angry young man” in a Facebook post. Maddow is openly gay. After taking heat from some of her followers, Macke only upped the ante, writing, “I am sorry. I should have said antagonistic.” Macke subsequently took down the Facebook posts, but not before GLAAD took a screen shot of them, called the station and demanded that she apologize. “Referring to Maddow as a ‘man’ because she is a gay woman is completely unacceptable for someone in the business of journalism,” stated the gay rights group. After Fox 19 handed Macke a two-day suspension and apologized “to anyone who may have been offended by her comments,” the journalist followed suit. “I recently posted comments on my personal Facebook page regarding cable news anchor Rachel Maddow which were insensitive and inappropriate,” Macke said. “I apologize to Ms. Maddow and any others who may have been offended by my comments, as they do not reflect my firm beliefs in individual and equal rights.” “They certainly do not represent the opinions or position of my employer WXIX-TV.” Macke has since resumed her duties anchoring Fox 19’s 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. news.

Dancing With the Stars Top 5: Who Will Prevail?

Following last night’s somewhat surprising Dancing With the Stars results , Gilles Marini and Kirstie Alley are out and only five All-Stars remain in the hunt. Two Olympians. One NFL great. One soap opera staple. One winner of The Bachelor who got dumped for the runner-up. It’s a diverse and talented field! Melissa Rycroft has dominated in the past two weeks, but Apolo Ohno, Emmitt Smith, Shawn Johnson and Kelly Monaco are all forces to be reckoned with. It’s DWTS: All-Stars , after all. Only the creme de le creme came to play this fall … well, and Bristol Palin . Anyway, with five dancers left, who’s your pick? Who will win Dancing With the Stars?   Apolo Anton Ohno Emmitt Smith Shawn Johnson Melissa Rycroft Kelly Monaco View Poll »

Dancing With the Stars Recap: Melissa Rycroft Returns, Shines in Group Routine!

Melissa Rycroft was not about to let a little pain slow her down. The reality star, who was hospitalized with a neck injury after getting hurt in rehearsal, took the floor with the rest of her partners to perform the group’s freestyle dance. The song? “Call Me Maybe.” Obviously. “It was diagnosed as a herniated disc in my upper neck,” she told host Tom Bergeron beforehand. “I officially got cleared, so we’re gonna give it a go.” Rycroft, Shawn Johnson, Sabrina Bryan, Apolo Anton Ohno and their partners gave the crowd a stellar effort, earning a score of 29.5 points a piece. There is NO ELIMINATION this week, and because of the third presidential debate , the competition was split into two nights, with four of the All-Stars dancing Monday. The other four contestants will give it a go tonight with individual routines, while Emmitt Smith, Kirstie Alley, Kelly Monaco and Apolo Ohno will go Gangnam Style. Seriously, that’s going to be the group routine. Nice.
