Teresa Giudice may be a reality star, but that doesn’t mean the law-breaking Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member is in touch with reality. Case in point: the following video. It features Giudice and Dina Manzo teaming with Glam.com to recite a few resolutions for 2015. Teresa Giudice and Dina Manzo Resolve To… “Going forward I would like to stop eating bad carbs,” Giudice says, adding that she wants to get her famous “ass” back. This would be a perfectly normal sort of resolution to make… if Giudice were not facing 15 months in jail for financial fraud, a sentence that begins on January 5. You’d think perhaps Teresa would be more concerned with vowing to be a better mother to her four children; or vowing to avoid prison after this stint is over; or jusy vowing to no longer suck as a human being. But nope. Giudice’s other resolutions include “being around positive people,” as well as “keeping the faith.” She makes no mention of her forthcoming stint in the slammer (which will be followed by husband Joe Giudice serving 40 months behind bars). At one point, Manzo says “I want to be more spontaneous this year. If I want to go away somewhere, I’m just going to let that happen and people will figure things out.” “You should!” Giudice responds. “I have four little ones so I can’t do that.” Note to Teresa : it won’t Gia Giudice and company who will be holding you back from going away somewhere. Teresa Giudice Prison Sentence: She Still Hasn’t Told Her Kids?!

Yesterday, Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison as a result of her fraud conviction back in March. Her husband, Joe Giudice, was sentenced to 41 months , but won’t begin doing his time until after Teresa is released, so that one parent will be free to care for the couple’s four daughters at all times. Teresa, Joe Giudice Sentencing Pushed Back Speaking of the Giudice kids, they’re in for a shock when Teresa turns herself over to the authorities on January 5, as the three youngest girls reportedly haven’t been told that their parents are headed for prison. “Teresa and Joe decided they were only going to tell [13-year-old] Gia that they had both been sentenced to prison,” a source close to the family tells Radar Online. “Telling the other three girls would have just been too hard because of their ages. They aren’t quite old enough to understand all of it. They don’t want to scare the girls.” It’s a somewhat understandable decision, as the girls are only nine, eight, and five, but it’s a conversation that Joe and Teresa will have to have with them at some point. The Giudices are right in assuming that the girls wouldn’t fully understand the situation, as based on Teresa’s interactions with the judge , the reality star doesn’t fully understand the charges, herself. Teresa and Joe Giudice Celebrate Daughter’s Fifth Birthday With Prison Sentence Looming

Even though Teresa and Joe Giudice might be headed to prison , the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars are are at least keeping up the appearance of normalcy on Instagram. Teresa posted the above photo yesterday with the caption, “My Frozen Princess Audriana cannot believe she’s 5.” The Giudices appear to be in good spirits, and for the first time in a long time, they may actually have reason to smile. A source close to their trial recently revealed to Us Weekly that Teresa will likely be placed under house arrest . Good news for the troubled Housewife, as it previously looked as though she would be sentenced to two years in prison. According to friends, Teresa was a nervous wreck after being convicted, but she’s now “positive” that she won’t go to prison . The outlook isn’t quite as sunny for her husband. Not only will he almost certainly due some time behind bars, Joe Giudice might get deported after being released from prison, as he never became an American citizen after his family emigrated from Italy. But at least when the Giudices are sentenced on October 2, they can now expect that at least one of them will be able to raise and provide for their four daughters. Last night’s Christmas episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey featured Joe and Teresa Giudice going about their holiday business while staring down the possibility prison time for fraud charges. To say the Giudices have a lot on their plate these days would be a colossal understatement, but believe it or not, their problems may have just gotten worse. Reports emerged today that Bravo executives are seriously considering the idea of firing Teresa from the show that made her famous. With prison looming and four young children to support, now would be the worst possible time for the Giudice family to lose Teresa’s $700,000 salary . However, the show’s declining ratings, coupled with Housewife’s diva-like behavior have reportedly led producers to consider dropping her from the cast. Sources say Teresa’s recent feud with Andy Cohen over comments the Bravo president made on Watch What Happens Live may have been the final straw. “Bravo bosses are starting to think Teresa isn’t worth keeping around if her behavior continues,” an insider tells Radar Online. “The network is very sensitive to the fact that she’s facing a looming prison sentence and has tried to work with her during this difficult time.” “But Teresa has cut back substantially on media appearances to promote the show and has been acting like a diva.” Of course, if Teresa ends up being sent to prison in September, then she likely won’t be capable of filming season seven of the formerly popular reality series. The Real Housewives of New Jersey Ratings Hit All-Time Low!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 6 premiere featured plenty of drama and a handful of new Housewives, yet somehow brought in some of the most dismal audience numbers in the series’ history. Bravo producers had hoped the drama surrounding the Teresa Giudice court case, and the addition of several new cast members would draw in viewers who had abandoned the show in past seasons. But not even the return of Dina Manzo proved sufficient to boost RHONJ’s ailing ratings. The season 6 premiere turned in just over 2 million viewers – about the same as when the series premiered in 2009 and all of the ladies were unknowns. Worse, RHONJ’s numbers in the key 18-49 year old demographic were lower than they’ve ever been. “Bravo was worried about ‘The Teresa Troubles,'” says a production insider. “It could have given them huge ratings or hurt them. In the end, it obviously hurt them.” The baffling part is that the episode couldn’t have been more chock-full of drama. In addition to the threat of prison hanging over Joe and Teresa’s heads, there was a heart-wrenching scene in which 12-year-old Gia Giudice reveals that she’s aware of her parents struggles and even a tribute to Frank Giudice – Joe’s father who died suddenly just last month .
