Kourtney Kardashian: This is How I Deal with "Hard Times"

Kourtney Kardashian has had it fairly rough of late. She hurled Scott Disick to the curb last summer… she then started to hook up with Justin Bieber, only to get pissed when she learned he made out with Haile Baldwin … and now it’s possible that Disick has moved on with Lina Sandberg . Life hasn’t been easy for the mother of three. How does she handle all the stress? “Everyone deals with hard times in their lives differently. I’m generally not a nervous person but I get anxious. “I also get nauseous and feel like I can’t eat when it is really bad, but I force myself to stay healthy,” she wrote this week on her official site. So, what does the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star do during these periods? “One thing I’ve found that really helps is working out. I try to exercise 5 days a week. I usually start with a quick run or jumping rope to warm up. I have to do something fast to really kill it. “And I definitely need good music.” Kourtney and Disick ended their nine-year relationship after the latter was photographed partying hard with another woman in June. “People are very quick to judge others by appearances,” she added. “But you truly don’t know what someone’s motivation is or what is going on inside them. For me, exercise is as much about my body as it is about calming my mind.” Hey, whatever works. It certainly has done wonders for her body,a s you can see here: View Slideshow: 29 Photos of Kourtney Kardashian Showing Scott Disick What He’s Missing

Jesus Took The Wheel: Uninsured Woman With MASSIVE Stomach Tumor Finally Gets Help From Hospital

A lil long-awaited positivity…. Uninsured Woman With Huge Stomach Tumor Turned Away From Hospitals The widely-circulated story of an uninsured Georgia woman who was turned away by 4 hospital that refused to treat her growing beach ball-sized tumor without payment is finally getting a happy ending. via NY Daily News In two months, a tumor inside the belly of Doris Lewis has blown up to the size of a beach ball. The 59-year-old woman from the Atlanta area says she is in excruciating pain from the massive, invasive mass pressing against her organs and pushing against her heart. She’s had no medical insurance since her husband died a few years back, and has been trying to find a carrier ever since, she said.  But she had no idea at first about what was going on inside her. “I thought I was just gaining weight,” she said. Then her abdomen began swelling at an alarming pace. In eight weeks, the benign tumor had pushed her belly button inside out and left her looking like a hugely pregnant woman.  That’s when she started going to hospitals. “Some of the guys looked at me and said ‘You got a tumor in there. That is so big. ‘Bout to pop,”’ she said. But none of the hospitals would operate on her because she had no insurance, the Newton County resident said. Eventually, the pain got so bad she called 911, and was taken Emory University Hospital Midtown. That’s where she finally got some good news. The doctor who examined her said she will get the surgery she needs, no matter her lack of insurance. “He said ‘you will see a doctor without money,”’ Lewis told the station. She will go under the knife June 10. “It would feel great, now, if I could get it out today. Right now. It would be a blessing,” she said. It’s a shame that this woman had to go to 5 hospitals before anyone would help her. Kudos to the hospital that finally stepped up and did the right thing.

Omar Broadway Talks Shooting HBO Documentary From His Prison Cell

Filmmaker and brother of Lil Wayne videographer DJ Scoob Doo tells Mixtape Daily he wanted to show what’s really ‘going on inside.’ By Alvin Blanco, with reporting by Rahman Dukes Photo: MTV News The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive Omar Broadway has managed to make the cable series “Lockup Raw” and “Locked Up Abroad” look like sitcoms. While serving out a 10-year sentence at Northern State Prison in Newark, New Jersey, the filmmaker and former inmate shot the deplorable and chaotic conditions he was living in. No easy task considering what he was doing was illegal. “My relationship with several officers allowed a camera to fall into my lap and record how we were living back there, how life was in a gang unit,” Omar told Mixtape Daily. “We just managed not to get caught with the camera.” Using a Panasonic PV-GS12, Omar secretly documented his life behind bars over a 14-month span. Originally, he planned to use the footage as a bargaining tool for an early release but instead he worked the material into “An Omar Broadway Film,” which was picked up by HBO Documentaries and screened at the Tribeca Film Festival. The documentary is a raw and uncut look at prison life without any sanitization for television audiences or prison officials. “I feel the world really needs to see what’s going on inside of the country’s many prisons because people see what they see through the [National Geographics] and the Discovery Channels,” Omar said. “But they’re authorized productions with people coming in, a lot of stuff is contrived and it’s not a natural look at what’s going on with everybody knowing that a camera is there and you not being able to act out in certain ways. Because it’s an authorized production, the officer isn’t going to say and do certain things off the top.” Omar also revealed that the DVD of “An Omar Broadway Film” is coming soon, as well as a sequel. The Jersey native is actually the biological brother of DJ Scoob Doo, Lil Wayne’s videographer and director of the “Nino Brown” DVD series. After a recent trip to Africa, Scoob was back taping the rapper on the I Am Still Music Tour this week. And Omar shares his sibling’s enthusiasm for hip-hop music. “Lyrically, a lot of artists are stepping it up all around the board,” he said. “A lot of artists: Wayne, Drake, Em, Jay, Kanye. The South is where it’s at, really.” Now a free man, and with his brother by his side, Omar said, “If someone can make a film from the confines of a cell, regardless of a recession, you have no excuse when you live in the land of milk and honey.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines .

Stephenie Meyer Wants ‘Breaking Dawn’ Birth Scene To Be ‘Awful’

‘For those of us who have been through childbirth … it is a scary, terrifying experience,’ she tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Stephenie Meyer Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images While Stephenie Meyer’s favorite scene in “Eclipse” was very much on par with that of her “Twilight” fans (the “tent scene” ), she might stand alone with her favorite scene in “Breaking Dawn,” which creeped out a lot of her devoted fans. When MTV News chatted with the best-selling author at the Los Angeles premiere of “Eclipse” last week, Meyer revealed that she is most excited to see the very descriptive and messy “birth scene” on the big screen. “I’d love to have the birth scene be every bit as awful — I know it freaked people out, but for those of us who have been through childbirth a couple times, it is a scary, terrifying experience,” she said. “This is just taking that to an exponential power, and I love going there.” By Meyer’s estimation, another challenging scene for “Dawn” director Bill Condon and company to tackle in their upcoming two films will be the infamous and also fairly controversial/creepy werewolf imprinting. “The imprinting thing, how do you have that come across?” Meyer wondered about Jacob’s relationship with Bella and Edward’s baby, Renesmee . “How do you make it clear what’s going on inside someone that way? It’s a challenge. I think Bill might be up to it, though. He’s really smart and on top of it.” Meyer wouldn’t reveal what she and Condon have discussed for each film specifically, of course, only that she is very happy with his work thus far. “I love his ideas so far,” she said. “He’s had some good ones.” Does the birth scene in “Breaking Dawn” creep you out? What scene are you most looking forward to seeing in the two “Dawn” films? Let us know in the comments!
