Ever since Kate Middleton’s wedding dress went on display, people from around the world have lined up at doors of Buckingham Palace to view a piece of history. In six weeks, the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding gown by Sarah Burton and Alexander McQueen has already been viewed by 350,000 visitors and counting. With one month to go, that number is expected to rise past 500,000. Among the first to check it out: Kate’s grandmother-in-law Queen Elizabeth . A spokesman for the Royal Collection says, “We’re thrilled that so many people have visited Buckingham Palace this summer in what looks to be a record year.” “The Royal Wedding attracted worldwide interest, so it’s only natural that many people want to come to experience the State Rooms used for the reception and take a closer look at The Duchess of Cambridge’s dress – which celebrates great British design.” Adult admission is $28.50, with the proceeds going to the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund, benefiting charities chosen by Prince William and Kate Middleton . Adele is very sorry, but she’s also very sick. The ultra talented, popular singer canceled one show at Plymouth Pavilions in England last night and has done the same for this evening’s scheduled performance at Bournemouth International Centre. We’ll let Adele, courtesy of a statement on her website, explain why: “hi guys, sorry about the first 2 shows. im as useless as a slug right now, ive had a rotten cold since i got home earlier this week and was hoping it wouldnt make its way onto my chest. but unfortunately it has and its leaving me breathless and i cant hold any of my notes when i sing.” Here’s to hoping Adele feels better soon, and here’s a link to her rendition of “Someone Like You” at last week’s MTV Video Music Awards. The young American Idol hopeful dedicated her rendition of “Daniel” to her brother and was told by Jimmy Iovine that “if they believe it, you get to the following week. If they don’t, I don’t believe you do.” So the challenge was laid out, and Megia didn’t falter in the face of it. But she also performed yet another ballad, the third of the evening, and one that couldn’t compete with those of Lauren Alaina and Pia Toscano . Might Thia be in trouble?
