Hurricane Joaquin strengthened to a Category Two storm as it barreled toward the Bahamas, on course to become a potentially devastating “major hurricane” by week#39;s end, US forecasters warned. Erik Roner died in a skydiving accident near Lake Tahoe, California, on Monday after he struck a tree, authorities said.
