#BlackGirlMagic! Ariyana Davis Accepted Into 23 HBCUs A Chicago high schooler’s inspiring story is making national headlines. Ariyana Davis, of Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, has been accepted into every one of the 24 colleges she applied to. Twenty-three of those schools were historically black colleges and universities including most recently Spelman College. The last school was Eastern Illinois University, a predominantly white institution. Looks like there's another achievement that needs to be celebrated because…. According to the teen, she’s excited to matriculate at the school because of the “family-oriented environment.” “I love the family-oriented environment and close-knitted community, and the opportunity they will provide to me.” Officially a Brave!!! Batkid Begins Trailer: Ready to Be Inspired?

Ready to break out your Kleenex, movie fans? You better be… because the first trailer for Batkid Begins has hit the Internet. The documentary tells the story of Miles Scott, a very young man who was diagnosed with leukemia at 18 months old. After after going through his final round of treatments in 2013, Scott had his wish granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation when he became a superhero for a day and was honored along the streets of San Francisco. Courtesy of Warner Bros., Batkid Begins chronicles Scott's inspiring story; from his chemotherapy to the day that he grew into a viral phenomenon. As the trailer depicts, well-known faces from Batman actors to President Barack Obama became a part of Scott's special day two years ago, cheering Batkid on as he got his wish. “He gave everybody license to just be a little absurd,” says Dark Knight composer Hans Zimmer. “Live their little dreams a little bit.” Batkid Begins comes out on June 26.

The horse was taken taken to the Mare and Foal Sanctuary, where what happened to him next was both adorable and heartwarming: the owners tried to make their new animal feel at home by providing him with a stuffed teddy bear as a roommate. Christina Hendricks Blasts Critics For Calling Her “Full-Figured” ‘Mad Men’ actress Christina Hendricks, who is well known for flaunting her tig ole’ bitties and curvaceous body on and off the red carpet, now says she’s offended when people refer to her as “full-figured.” via Fox News She has never shied away from the topic in the past, but it seems that questions for ‘Mad Men’ star Christina Hendricks about her figure may now be off limits. That’s what an Australian interviewer found out the hard way when she asked Hendricks, in town to promote the Specsavers 2012 Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition (yes we don’t know what that is either): “You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman, what is the most inspiring story that you can remember?” Hendricks sputtered “I don’t know” before looking off camera, peeved. Hendricks reportedly said off camera that “I think calling me full-figured is just rude.” Hendricks’ distaste for the line of questioning was probably a surprise to the interviewer as, outside of her role on “Mad Men,” the actress is perhaps best known for bringing a fuller figure back into vogue in Hollywood, and is never shy about flaunting her figure on red carpets. Acting is funny. It’s like this is all made up. Bitch is sitting in a room talking to a woman and acting all hysterical.
