Although Birdman is not actually in the visual (he’s only on a few ad-libs on the song, to be fair) the self-proclaimed “King of R&B” holds it down in this one as he kicks back in Miami to enjoy the view. Lupita Nyong’o and Melissa McCarthy have both navigated Hollyweird on their own terms and have refused to compromise their integrity along the way. The ladies sit down to share their stories and experiences with one another for Variety’s Actors On Actors series That was very inspiring. We never knew we needed to see Lupita and Melissa chop it up like that.
Soulja Boy, rocking tightie whities like a true gangsta, is letting Chris Brown hear it for bailing on their celebrity boxing match that wasn't. The rapper dragged Chris, online and verbally during a concert in Minneapolis last weekend, acting almost like the fight is still going on. According to Soulja Boy, Chris agreed to fight him after their beef exploded over New Year's, signed on to fight, then bailed … out of fear. Chris says he wasn't happy with all the hangers-on trying to influence and money off the fight, but Soulja's definitely not buying that. If you ask Soulja, Chris will fight Karrueche on a moment's notice, but when it comes to taking on a real man in the ring, dude flakes. Karrueche, of course, is at the center of all of this. Brown's feud with Soulja erupted after Chris called him out for liking her pictures on Instagram. (He's a bit of a jealous ex and crazy person.) For her part, Tran worries Brown will kill her and wants a permanent restraining order against the star, but that's a much bigger issue. In any case, Soulja is giving it to Breezy, hard. “I told that b!tch ass n!gga let’s get into the boxing ring,” he said. “What’s up, n!gga? He said, ‘Okay, Soulja Boy, I’m gonna sign the contract.' “'I’m gonna fight you.’ Waited around a whole motherf–king month and Chris Brown backed out the fight like a little b!tch, man!” “I was gonna knock Chris' b!tch ass out! Y’all know what the f–k is going on. He was scared I was gonna hit his ass with that Superman punch.” Chris, for his part, said on his Instagram account that there is simply “no need for me to disrespect this person any further.” “He’s hyped up as well as the issue,” he adds. “The opportunity to embarrass and do harm to him isn’t even funny anymore.” Brown said the whole thing became a turf war of sorts for gangsters wanting a piece of the pie, when all he wanted was to fight in private: “I backed out … because the money/location and the fact that the real promoters were spooked by “GANGMEMBERS” who wanted to profit off it.” “No charity and no point in going through wit it.” “I set up a private gym and he didn’t show up. So. There is nothing more to say. It’s not gone happen and we really know the truth here.” The only things we know for sure is that Karrueche is scared for her safety, and Soulja sure as s–t acts like he won this thing by default. Granted, he talks a much bigger game than he can ever back up, and looks like a dumbass in that underwear, but hey, it works for him …
When Nick Cannon quit his post as America's Got Talent host a few weeks ago, it was initially seen as an admirable example of sticking to one's morals. The star explained, via a lengthy Instagram post, that he felt as if NBC was treating him “like a piece of property,” going on to write: “There is no amount of money worth my dignity or my integrity.” Like we said: admirable, right? But follow-up reports proceeded to quote a number of sources, some of which wondered whether Cannon was suffering from some kind of mental breakdown . They pointed to Cannon's rant against NBC as evidence of his instability, along with his recent dedication to “spirituality” and multiple social media posts in which Cannon refers to “depression” and insanity. Aware of this chatter, Cannon has filmed a video of himself in which he states early on: “People think I’m crazy.” He then goes on sort of validate this possibility. “They had reports that I have mental issues. Tell us some shitt we don’t know! Nigga, a I was dressing in drag at 17,” he says below, adding: “I been crazy! They call me crazy ’cause I turned down millions, and millions, and millions … of dollars. I am moving on to bigger and better things, like my mixtape.” Later on, Cannon compares himself to Albert Einstein, Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. Cannon also makes mentions of: Donald Trump’s State of the Union address. The ongoing feud between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma . A puppet of Minaj, which Cannon gropes and fondles. By the end of the footage, Cannon has exposed himself in more ways than one and even suggested he should “f-ck Miley Cyrus.” You need to watch this entire thing. And you need to then grow a bit concerned over Cannon's mental state…
As previously detailed, Nick Cannon recently walked away from his main job. The entertainer quit as America’s Got Talent host because he was angry at producers for the way they reacted to a joke in his stand-up special this month. On stage, Cannon quipped that this gig was great and all… but it did make him worried that someone might take away his “black card” due to the cheesy nature of the NBC reality show. According to Cannon, executives actually thought about firing him for the remark, which led him to resign his post instead. In a lengthy Instagram message explaining his decision, Cannon wrote the following: “I find myself in a dark place having to make a decision that I wish I didn’t have to, but as a man, an artist, and a voice for my community I will not be silenced, controlled or treated like a piece of property.” He went on to castigate “The System,” adding: “There is no amount of money worth my dignity or my integrity.” Sounds pretty admirable, right? The guy left a very well-paying job in order to stand up for his honor. And yet some folks close to Cannon are concerned that the star isn’t strong-willed, he’s just falling off his mental rocker. Shortly after quitting America’s Got Talent, Cannon fired his longtime advisers, including ID-PR publicist Alla Plotkin and ICM Partners agent Chris Smith. Moreover, sources tell The New York Post that Cannon has recently “got really into religion,” donning robes and a turban and sometimes referring to himself as “Rev. Dr. Cannon.” It’s not unusual to find religion later in life, but this Page Six report says Cannon “isn’t attached to a specific religion so much as a general spirituality.” Which still doesn’t seem like a reason to think someone is going insane. However, Cannon – who recently spent several weeks in a hospital for complications related to lupus — spent last weekend posting on social media about depression and pain. To wit: That’s a whole different story. With an influx of memes such as the one above scattered throughout his Instagram page, we can understand why some folks are worried. Cannon’s manager has not responded to The New York Post after it tried to get in contact with him. But Cannon himself seems to be aware of this chatter. He shared the following quote by John Lennon on his social page this week: I think our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we’re being run by maniacs for maniacal ends. I think they’re all insane. But I am liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what is insane about it. Don’t you agree? We guess? We guess we agree? Or maybe we agree with friends who think he is kind of nuts now? What do you think?
Another day, another instance of Jeremy Calvert biting the hand that feeds him. Yep, don’t look now, but Jeremy Calvert is real upset and hurt and angry that MTV edited hours upon hours of footage into a 40 minute show people would want to watch. At this point, Jeremy is turning his Instagram rant sessions into a weekly affair, updating his followers with each and every grievance he has with the show as soon as the new episode airs. “I don’t give a damn,” he’s said about his anti-Teen Mom agenda . “I’m going to do it every Monday.” But he wanted to make sure everyone knew that “I’m not just trying to create drama. If they show something positive on an episode, I’ll say it was positive.” Still, “If there’s something that they air that makes me look like an a–hole, I’ll say that. I’m not going to hide behind a cell phone to protect my ass.” It’s obvious that Jeremy feels very strongly about how he’s being portrayed on the show, which is fair. “I’m not trying to [have people] look past anything I do wrong,” he insisted, “I just want to put the real story out there.” The issue, according to him, is that “When you’re married to [one of the Teen Moms], they make you look good. As soon as you get divorced, MTV makes you look like an a–hole.” And boy, on this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2 , he looked like the biggest a–hole. On the show, Leah told Jeremy that she planned on taking her daughters, including the one she shares with Jeremy, on a vacation to Mexico. Then Jeremy spoke with Corey Simms, Leah’s first ex-husband and the father of her twins, and had some words with him about the trip, which he seemed to be totally unaware of. “Leah is planning on taking the kids to Mexico,” Jeremy told him. “Not New Mexico, motherf-cking Mexico.” He added, “I ain’t really too thrilled about that. I just don’t like Mexico.” So that sounds pretty racist, right? Jeremy straight up said that he dislikes an entire country, and there’s not many possible explanations for why that is. You know, besides racism. And so the Mexico issue is the subject of Jeremy’s latest Instagram rant , which he’s since deleted. His first piece of evidence in his favor is that the timeline is all screwed up, because Corey already knew about the trip. “As already informed a week and a half prior to us filming that scene that he was aware of the whole Mexico trip,” he revealed. “Clearly when I called on camera he was completely caught off guard by the Mexico trip. You can figure that out!” We actually can’t figure that out, these words seem kind of jumbled and placed together in a way that almost makes sense, but not quite. Jeremy Calvert Goes OFF on Teen Mom 2 Editors But we’re pretty sure he’s saying that something’s not right, and he used that to jump to his next point. “MTV did not show the part of the rest of the conversation in regards to the Mexico trip and the reason why I don’t want my child to go there,” he said. “I’m not racist. MTV does some good editing.” So this would be a perfect time to explain why he didn’t want his daughter to go to Mexico, right? He could just clear things right up. But, according to Jeremy, he doesn’t owe anyone any explanations when it comes to how he chooses to raise his daughter. … Except wasn’t this whole pitiful rant an explanation? He couldn’t go for a few extra seconds to explain his “I just don’t like Mexico” statement? Sounds good, bud. See you next week. Hard to believe, but it’s been one year since we first learned that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna were hooking up . When that grainy black-and-white selfie of Rob’s distinctively-tatted arm holding a boa-like grip around Blac’s neck first went public, many dismissed the relationship as nothing more than a fling. But as former believers in the integrity of American democracy can tell you, a whole can change over the course of 12 months. These days, the long-shot lovebirds have beaten the odds to form a lasting relationship and start a family of their own. Sure, it’s a wildly dysfunctional relationship, the cops have been involved on more than one occasion, and the Rob and Blac seem more focused on their reality show than on each other, but it’s a relationship nonetheless. Despite more breakups than we can count Rob and Blac are engaged these days (we think). They recently welcomed their first child, Dream Kardashian , and it’s been over a month since either of them physically assaulted the other one (we think). The couple officially reached the one-year milestone yesterday, and Rob marked the occasion by assembling montage of the couple’s happy moments (couldn’t have been easy) and posting it on Instagram: Rob Kardashian-Blac Chyna Anniversary Video “1 year down lol woohoooooo happy anniversary babbbbbbiiiiiiiieeeeeee,” Rob captioned the video. Perhaps no one told him that “one year down” is the sort of thing convicts serving lengthy sentences say. In a way, we guess it’s an appropriate sentiment, in that like it or not, Rob and Blac are tied to one another for the rest of their days. In addition to the fact that they have a duaghter together, Chyna and Kardashian’s careers are inextricably intertwined. Their reality show, Rob and Blac, was picked up for a second season , which means they have to pretend to get along (or at least spend time with one another) for at least another six months or so. As for that rumored televised Rob and Blac wedding , it keeps getting pushed back, which should tell us just about everything we need to know about the state of their relationship. At first, they didn’t want to get hitched until Blac lost the pregnancy pounds, but she did that in record time, and there’s still no wedding planning going down. While many have accused the couple of being swingers, she explains that even though she isn’t policing Will and he’s free to do what he wants with whomever he wants , she ultimately trusts his integrity and knows that he wouldn’t do anything he felt the need to be ashamed of. “You gotta trust who you’re with, and at the end of the day, I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher… I’m not his watcher. He’s a grown man. Here’s what I trust: I trust that the man that Will is is a man of integrity. He’s got all the freedom in the world, and as long as Will can look at himself in the mirror and be OK, I’m good.” Interesting stance. But the thing is…plenty of married men can look themselves in the mirror JUST FINE after stepping out on their marriage! But if it works for them… She also admits that the couple got married far too young, and would never encourage her kids to do the same…but says things worked out because of the type of partners they are to each other.
