If you watched last night’s episode of Teen Mom: OG , then you know the hard times are still going for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. Once considered the franchise’s most stable couple, Tyler and Catelynn have experienced more than their share of difficulties over the past 15 episodes. Much of their screentime was devoted to Catelynn’s rehab stint and emotional struggles, but the Baltierras were thrown a second curveball recently thanks to the difficulties experienced by Tyler’s dad. Butch has been in trouble with the law throughout much of his life, primarily as a result of his crippling substance abuse issues. The MTV cameras were rolling when Tyler received word that his dad was back behind bars. Check out that heartbreaking moment in the clip below: Tyler Baltierra: Dad Violates Parole, Goes Back to Jail The news came as a shock to viewers, as Butch seemed to be making a concerted effort to get his life back together. Sadly, Tyler wasn’t so surprised, as he’s seen his dad fall apart in the past. He opened up about this most recent experience during an interview with Dr. Drew Pinksy on Teen Mom: OG reunion special, airing December 5: “He was doing fine I guess and then he missed a parole meeting and his parole officer wanted to violate him so now he’s in jail,” Baltierra told Dr. Drew . “He’s supposed to be off parole in 90 days. He came back from his parole meeting the week before all excited and proud of himself.” Tyler added: “I know exactly what’s going on. I think he’s using. I think he used or he relapsed.” Tyler says there were signs that his father was using again in the weeks leading up to his imprisonment: “He was sleeping in later,” Baltierra said. “And not coming home a lot.” In the past, Tyler has severed ties with his dad as a result of his drug use. In retrospect, we should have known Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick would get back together . They clearly just don’t know how to quit each other. They’re like Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain, except instead of gay Montana cowboys, they’re spray-tanned SoCal narcissists. Despite the fact that their time apart has been less than amicable ( Kourtney slept with Justin Bieber , which is pretty much the ultimate low-blow.), Kourt and Scott recently decided to take a Mexican vacation together. And it seems that even though Scott was barred from downing any margaritas, the trip went better than expected: “Kourt’s been impressed with how hard he’s worked to get back into her good graces, and she fell in love with him all over again during their Mexican vacation,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “Kourtney’s allowed Scott to move back in with her and the kids, but she also hit him with the ultimatum that it’s time they got married.” Wow … how romantic. Scott sort of went into a tailspin when they spilt, so not surprisingly, insiders claim he’s accepted Kourtney’s conditions. Unfortunately, it looks as though the rumored Kourtney-Khloe double wedding will not come to pass. Sources say Skourt is planning to break with family tradition and tie the knot in an intimate affair with a very small guest list. “They’re plotting a quiet wedding at home with only immediate family — not even friends will be allowed.” So do E! camera crews count as family? Come to think of it, they probably should at this point. Look, we believe just about every part of this story except for the bit about Kris Jenner allowing one of her kids to get married and not forcing them to televise it. Well, we kind of struggle with the whole “Scott staying sober for an entire week in Mexico” part, too, but that’s a conversation for another time. We know Scott’s not huge on commitment, but after you’ve had three kids with someone, that ship has sort of sailed, anyways.
Family pariah Josh Duggar was never supposed to be shown on Counting On this season, but some fans think it’s already been done. It’s unclear if TLC actually vowed to never include Josh in the show again, or made more vague promises to that effect, but in any case? Let’s just say he’s still persona non grata to fans … Obviously, as a father of four who went to rehab and returned to his native Arkansas, it’s understandable that he spends time with his family. His wife took him back despite being a child molesting, adulterous, porn addict hypocrite, and he’s back in the Duggars’ good graces. Or at least tolerated. Thus, while some people obviously cringed at the photo of Josh Duggar at Thanksgiving with his family, it was pretty harmless in the end. When Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo , however, the cameras were rolling and fans of the reality TV show were glad he was edited out. Or was he? This past Sunday, three weeks after the wedding, a fan page noted that if you watch Counting On online , you might see Joshua himself. Maybe. He wasn’t front and center, to be sure. The Pickles and Hairspray Facebook page, which has followed the Duggars over the years, and through thick and thin, analyzed the wedding. We’re talking like Zapruder Film-style analysis. With Jinger’s father Jim Bob Duggar standing next to groom Jeremy Vuolo, you can see one of her nephews behind them … and a man. Writes the Duggar fan page in its recap: “And Josh hides behind Marcus. Seriously, Marcus is standing on Josh’s lap at one point to completely block him from being seen on camera.” “What a life that guy has now.” If Josh is actually hiding behind his child, deliberately or otherwise, can we really say he’s “appearing” on the show? And does it matter? Is TLC trying to get away with sneaking Josh Duggar, whose actions are the reason their previous show was canceled, back on the air? We know Josh was so happy with Anna at Jinger’s wedding , or so we were told by multiple media reports, and he was seen at the event. As far as his presence on TV is concerned, however, it was believed that the 28-year-old was still sidelined … and for the most part still is. The Duggar Family Blog and TLC both basically said earlier this year that there were no plans for Josh to be part of any future programming. However, other sources claim it was stated he would not “appear on Counting On in any formal capacity.” If that’s true, based on this photo? It’s hard to say TLC broke any promises. The moral question of whether Josh should be back on TV is a subjective one, but if there’s a Duggar family event at all, he’ll be there. The Anna and Josh divorce rumors are bogus, people. It’s not happening. Even if we think it should, it’s not. They are very clearly back together and (at least on the surface) happier than ever. His presence in online photos implicitly confirms this. Yes, the family treads carefully when it comes to their disgraced first-born. But if he were truly an outcast, we would’ve known it by now. In the past week, he has shown up at Thanksgiving (above), both with the Duggar family and his in-laws (below), and on social media. If a small glimpse of Josh Duggar really was included deliberately, and whether he will be similarly included further in future episodes? We cannot say with any certainty. No one can. All we can say is that when Season 3 of Counting On premieres in January 2017, it should be very interesting to see the direction TLC takes. A glimpse of part of his jaw and hairline hiding behind a little boy are one thing. Producers and editors truly might not have realized this. But if he’s included in any sort of real air time, or story line, we may quickly find out if Duggar Nation is as quick to forgive him as Anna. Stay tuned. In these difficult days, long-suffering reality star Anna Duggar has found great support through faith, she writes in a new blog post. The 19 Kids and Counting star took to the Duggar family blog to share some reflective words on her many recent trials and tribulations. She’s certainly been through a lot, and whatever you think of the Duggars, we’ve all been waiting to hear from her in her own words. Titled “A Statement From Anna Duggar,” it does not state whether Anna Duggar is pregnant for the fifth time, as has been rumored. It does, however, shed light on a lot of things, tellingly: “Many have asked how I am doing. So many have asked that its actually humbling and touching.” “2015 was the most difficult year of my life.” “Yet, amazingly I’ve found that in my own life crisis God has drawn near to me (“He’s near to the brokenhearted” Psalms 34:18) and my faith has been more precious to me than ever before.” “Just recently I visited Josh. She had been forced to throw Mary-Louise and Nora an anniversary party after Julian promised the shindig to his quasi daughters, though Lily was still working with her actual sons to break her bond with Julian and take him out for good. Along those lines, Stefan and Damon showed up at the gathering and were able to subdue Julian, wrapping him up in chains. Meanwhile, Valerie opened up to her family after how Julian beat the child out of her many years ago, garnering all of their sympathies… except those of Mary-Louise. She didn’t believe Valerie. She also broke the bond between Julian and Lily, unbeknownst to the latter. So when Julian tied up Damon and Valerie and told Lily she had to pick one to kill; she had to pick her real family once and for all… Lily chose Option 3 instead and staked herself through the heart. But it didn’t kill Julian. She didn’t know their connection had been severed. Instead, it merely served as a misguided (albeit noble!) suicide. At least Stefan got to bid an emotional goodbye to his mother, however, while Damon essentially just cursed her off as his final words. Ouch. Julian ran away, told Mary-Louise what happened and seemed genuinely broken up about it. Elsewhere this week: Matt rounded of Enzo with the help of some mysterious friends. The blood sucker was left in the back of a truck, having been shot by many vervain-filled weapons, though we have no idea who is part of this alliance Matt has formed to seemingly bring down all vampires. Stefan reacted to Caroline’s pregnancy news in shock, but later called to apologize… and also to say that he loved her! He’ll always be there for her! AWWWW! Three years in the future, Damon was tied up at the news station. He hallucinated that his mother was the captor, the woman who is hunting down Stefan. We learned in the final scene that the hunger is NOT Lily. But we still have no idea about her identity. So there you have it. Fifty says her name is Gayle (he has a dog Oprah), but Lindsay Lohan seems more appropriate. Mr. Cent later insisted that his feline friend is lapping up water and not hard alcohol, obviously, and we have to take him at his word there. Not because Curtis Jackson is a standard bearer for trustworthiness, but simply based on what we believe about cat beverage preferences. Water and milk tend to win out over 80 proof distilled grains.
