Bachelor in Paradise Recap: Look Who’s Back!

Derek Peth didn’t simply leave Bachelor in Paradise Monday night . He also left his fellow Bachelor in Paradise contestants questioning their feelings, themselves and their place on the show in general. In particular, we write here about Tayshia Adams and Blake Horstmann and their reaction yesterday evening to Derek’s stunning departure.  Tayshia, for instance, wasn’t certain how she felt about John Paul Jones in the wake of the Derek decision, while Blake had started to realizie his chances of finding love in Mexico were slim to, quite possibly, none. Yes, Adams admitted, she had a “soft spot” for Jones — but what did that really mean in the bigger picture? As for Horstmann? He had an epiphany on Tuesday’s episode and actually convinced himself that Kristina Schulman was the woman he had been searching for all along. “We always gravitate toward each other,” he told viewers on air. “Maybe we owe each other this, to give it a shot.” Suddenly inspirde, Blake grabbed Kristina for a chat and told her he was “all in” and totally sure of it… at the moment. “I thought I just wanted to be friends with you, I did,” he said. “And here I am, saying that I can’t stop thinking about you. It’s driving me f—ing crazy and it’s terrifying.” Could Kristina actually trust the guy responsible for so much drama this season ? She actually decided yes , she was willing to do so… resulting in Mike Johnson getting sent home at the rose ceremony. (So he could go prep to be the next Bachelor , we pray really hard.) Watch Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 Episode 10 Online The next morning, just as Blake and Kristina were beginning to explore their romance, everyone was thrown for a loop — thanks to a pair of  arrivals. First, in walked Bri Barnes from Colton Underwood‘s season of The Bachelor. It turns out that Blake and Bri had hit it off at Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson’s wedding just days prior (because of course they did)  and when Barnes pulled Blake aside for a discussion, Kristina basically lost it. And yet: Blake stuck to his word, nicely declining Bri’s date card. She ended up going surfing with fellow newcomer Matt Donald, while Blake desperately – and unsuccessfully – attempted to break down Kristina’s walls back at the bungalows. At last, we get to Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Connor Saeli (from Hannah Brown‘s season of The Bachelorette), two people looking for love and no drama. “I came here for a relationship, and finally, I feel good,” Caelynn said at one point. “Connor and I are exploring what we have, and I’m happy. I deserve this after the hell that I’ve been through.” However, all was about to change. Just when it seemed as if nothing could go wrong, a freshly-shaven Dean Unglert made his totally unexpected return (!!!!!!!!!!) to beg Caelynn for another chance after dumping her — just a week ago. “When I left, I made a decision that I thought was best for you, but it wasn’t really fair of me to make that decision,” he explained, adding: “Then I flew back to San Diego, and the entire flight back I literally could not stop thinking about you. I rented a car and drove to the Grand Canyon, and as I was there I thought about how badly I wished that you were there with me.” How sweet and not remotely scripted, right? “I knew that I needed to come here and tell you that I wanted us to try and be in a relationship,” Dean added. “I came here to ask you if you would leave Paradise with me today.” Wow, huh? Caelynn didn’t know what to say or what to do. “Right now, I’m the most confused I’ve ever been in my entire life. This is not an easy decision,” she said. “I literally have the dangerous guy and the perfect man. I have no idea what to do.” We’ll need to tune in next week to find out what she chooses. Darn you, ABC! View Slideshow: Peter Weber as The Bachelor: A Nation Reacts!

13 Most Shocking TV Exits in History

Some TV exits are more shocking than others.  There are several reasons for that, but some of them just come so out of the blue that it seems there is more to the story than meets the eye.  Have a look below at the 13 most shocking TV exits! 1. Nina Dobrev – The Vampire Diaries Two vampires were fighting for Elena Gilbert’s heart on The Vampire Diaries. The producers had to get creative when Dobrev announced her departure at the close of Season 6. “I don’t want to play a teenager anymore. I want to play adult roles and be challenged and work with great filmmakers and tell incredible stories and that has meant being really picky,” she later revealed to Harper’s Bazaar. Dobrev did return two years later for the series finale. 2. Ruth Wilson – The Affair Wilson played Alison on this Showtime drama. During Season 4, however, the character was murdered. Showrunner Sarah Treem later said that Wilson asked to exit the series, but Wilson countered by saying that she was not allowed to talk about why she decided to exit. Still, fans were stunned at the loss of someone who was such an integral part of the story. 3. Nicollette Sheridan – Desperate Housewives Sheridan departed Desperate Housewives under the most shocking of circumstances: Her character was killed off in a freak accident. Behind the scenes, however, it emerged that she had a falling out with series creator Marc Cherry and it was reported that he slapped her. 4. Emmy Rossum – Shameless Rossum played Fiona, the central character and glue that held all of the other characters together. However, the actress announced her departure ahead of the ninth season finale. But the show is in a bit of an uncertain place as it gears up to launch its first season without its leading lady. 5. Kim Dickens – Fear the Walking Dead Fans were up in arms when it was revealed that Kim’s character, Madison was dead. It was not a mutual decision between the actress and the new showrunners, however. “Obviously it was shocking to me and it was disappointing. It was heartbreaking,” Dickens told Entertainment Weekly about finding out her time on the show was coming to an end. 6. Monica Raymund – Chicago Fire Raymund’s Dawson got the off-screen exit treatment when the actress opted to not renew her contract. Her final arc was less than satisfying as a result. View Slideshow

Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn: Secretly MARRIED?!

In the year or so since Paris Jackson began dating Gabriel Glenn , the 21-year-old model has experienced more ups and downs than some folks see in a lifetime. Much of the tumult had to do with the release of the Michaek Jackson documentary Leaving Neverland, which contained shocking new evidence linked to the pop legend’s alleged sex crimes. On social media, Paris defended her father and dismissed the charges against him in a fashion that many found callous or inappropriate. Insiders worried that Paris was headed for an overdose, a meltdown, or some other personal tragedy. Things seem to have stabilized for Jackson these days, and Glenn — who stood by her side throughout — seems to have had a stabilizing influence. Often, tough times test our bonds and bring us closer to those we love. Which might be part of the reason so many are convinced that Paris and Glenn secretly got married sometime in the past few weeks. Another good reason, of course, is the fact the pair appeared to be sporting matching wedding rings at a recent red carpet event. Earlier this week, Paris and Glenn attended the premiere of an acclaimed bnew film entitled The Peanut Butter Falcon. But not surprisingly, their finger bling has been overshadowing the movie in today’s press coverage. Thus far, however, the media’s best efforts to uncover the truth have been in vain. Insiders say Paris won’t even answer her family’s questions with regard to whether or not she and Glenn are hitched. “The family is freaking out,” an insider tells Radar Online. “She is not answering any of them. No one knows what to think; Paris is a loose cannon.” Meanwhile, Jackson is still gushing about Glenn on social media — as she has been for much of the past year. “Appreciation post for the light of my life, my symphony of a soul, my darling sunflower … we’re playing footsie in bed right now,” she wrote today. “You really shouldn’t have, I don’t deserve this post or you but I’m glad you’re mine just the same,” Glenn replied. “Wouldn’t trade you or our fur family for anything in the world. Love you 3000.” We don’t know id Paris and Gabe are married, engaged, or just having fun … but it certainly sounds like he won’t be going away anytime soon.

Paul Wesley: I Totally Hated You Too, Nina Dobrev

Nina Dobrev shocked  Vampire Diaries fans in June when she revealed that she totally hated costar Paul Wesley , despite their on-screen chemistry. The two are close friends now, but it’s kind of amazing how well Nina faked it for those early seasons. Now Paul Wesley has come forward to confirm Nina’s story, and he confesses he didn’t like her much either! Paul addressed the couple’s mutual disdain while speaking with reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Thursday. “I think the point that Nina was making, and I’ll totally back her up on this, is that we totally clashed [the] first couple years,” Paul said. He didn’t mention any specific confrontations, but admitted he and she had the tendacy of “just getting on each other’s nerves.”  But Paul, now 37, wants us to know that that’s in the past, and that he and Nina later “developed this wonderful friendship.” “So it’s like this nice, happy ending,” Paul told reporters. For Paul, part of the problem with Nina was overexposure. The two went from being total strangers to seeing way, way too much of each other. Both of the stars were also constantly exhausted from the rigorous filming and promotional schedule. “When people work together nonstop, do press nonstop for years and years on end,” Paul reasoned. “You don’t appreciate the person that’s in front of you.” “You’re like, ‘Oh, you know, I’m exhausted and tired,'” he added. Paul continued, “And I think now, it’s such a nice story because we’re such good friends.” It can be so stressful when you can’t find any time off from a busy work schedule, and only see the same few coworkers all day. In that pressure cooker scenario, you can start to resent even the tiniest flaws of those around you. We can forgive these two for rubbing each other the wrong way back in the day, and we love that they’re so tight now. “I think it was a cool lesson to learn,” Paul recalled on Thursday.  He went on to explain, “It’s like the poeple that … maybe you don’t get along with in the beginning later surprise you.” “I think a lot of my friendships are like that,” Paul concluded. Well, we hope most of his friendships didn’t start out with mutual hatred. But there’s a lot to be said for being patient with those we don’t immediately like, and giving friendship a chance to grow. For Paul, learning this was just part of growing up.  Afterall, he and Nina were much younger when  The Vampire Diaries first aired on The CW. “We were both kids,” Paul remembered about their first years together. “She was, you know, couldn’t even legally drink. I was like, 24 or 25,” he said. It sounds like Nina and Paul struggled to adapt to becoming so successful so suddenly, and at such a young age. “We were both on this big show,” Paul recalled, “It’s like high school. It’s kind of like being at summer camp.” These two stars clearly had a pretty rocky start with each other. But both have gone on to say they now keep in touch regularly and hang out “all the time.” We’re glad Paul and Nina got their real-life happy ending, for now at least. We hope they’ll get the chance to work together again soon, this time as good friends. View Slideshow: The Vampire Diaries Finale: 13 Shockers!

Katie Maloney & Tom Schwartz: Our First Wedding Was Fake! Now We’re Getting Married FOR REAL!

We all know that only about 40 percent of reality television bears any resemblance to reality, and the other 60 percent is just badly-scripted primetime soap drama with sufficient product placement to offset the fact that the entire audience is fast-forwarding through the commercials. But usually, major events like weddings are legit occurrences in the lives of the cast members. Which is why Vanderpump Rules fans were shocked to learn this week that Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are not actually married. Maloney and Schwartz’s wedding was featured on the show back in Season 5. It was a memorable occasion for many reasons, not the least of which is Tom’s baffling decision to bathe in a freakin’ river beforehand. Anyway, it turns out that despite exchanging vows on camera, Tom and Katie are not are not legally wed and never have been. The news was accidentally revealed by Lance Bass of NSync in a recent podcast interview. Bass apparently officiated the recent wedding of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright , and when the topic of Vanderpump marriages came up, he had some surprising things to say about the first SUR couple to tie the knot: “So, yeah, I hope that [Jax and Brittany] are married because we just found out that Tom and Katie are not married,” Bass said. “They did not send in their materials right. So, they are not married.” Bass followed up on his comments during a Good Morning America interview on Wednesday: “Lot of times people forget that I’ve been in entertainment news for the last 15 years,” he said. “So, you know, when there’s pieces of nuggets out there, I’m going to talk about it.” “I didn’t know it was a secret,” Bass added. “I don’t know reality television like that. I apologize, I’m sorry. You’ll just have to watch. You’ll have to see the show to see what really happens.” Uh … casually dropping bombshell information during an interview and then teasing that fans will have to tune in to the show to see how it all plays out? Sounds like Lance understands a lot about reality television. But we digress … The important thing is that it looks as though the upcoming season of Vanderpump will feature not one, but two weddings. E! News has confirmed that Tom and Katie have obtained a marriage license , and based on their latest Instagram activity, it seems the entire VPR cast is currently assembled in Las Vegas. (Well, all except for Billie Lee, who quit the show last week. Of course, it seems unlikely that Katie would’ve invited the SUR hostess, anyway …) Tom and Katie’s second ceremony sounds like a quickie affair, and on the show, it’ll probably be overshadowed by Jax and Brittany’s nuptials. We suppose that’s fair, considering Schwartz and Maloney already had one televised wedding. But hey, at least it’ll spare us from this entire season being devoted to Jax and Brit’s planning process … especially considering that process already ate up a ton of screentime last season. And hey, smart move on Katie’s part getting married in the middle of a desert — it might force Tom to bathe in an actual shower this time! View Slideshow: 37 Classic Vanderpump Rules Moments in GIFs

Amal Clooney is expecting twins with George Clooney . She is also a human rights attorney who gave a speech this week at the UN headquarters, calling on the organization to investigate crimes committed by the Islamic State, including killings, forced conversions and rape. Not that TIME Magazine cared at all about that latter fact. As you're about to learn below, the publication Tweeted only about Amal's baby bump while she spoke on the floor of the United Nations, rightfully earning the ire of Internet users in the process. Scroll down for more… 1. Yes, She Showed it Off While, you know, speaking out on the atrocities committed by ISIS against women. 2. What Speech?!? The tweet linked to an article published in Motto – Time Inc.’s website aimed at younger women – which was titled “Amal Clooney Rocks the Baby Bump Ahead of U.N. Speech.” What a great lesson for these young women. 3. Pssst… Time In case you were wondering about anything outside of her baby bump. 4. Tell Us, TIME! We need to know! 5. THIS.
