Maci Bookout MARRIES Taylor McKinney!

They do, Teen Mom OG fans! They really do! Despite horrible weather in Florida, as a result of Hurricane Matthew, Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney went ahead and got married in Greenville on Saturday afternoon. The MTV star gushed over the ceremony and her new status in a discussion afterward with Us Weekly. “I am so excited because I don’t use the word ‘fiancé’ because I think it’s kind of silly!” Bookout told the tabloid . “So I’m excited to finally be able to call him my husband.” According to this same magazine, Bookout wore a Riki Dalal Haute Couture gown for the special occasion. The couple is familiar to those who watch Teen Mom OG online or on television every week. They share a 16-month old daughter named Jayde and a four-month old son named Maverick. Together, Bookout and McKinney also parent the former’s seven-year-old son Bently, who she created with with ex-fiance Ryan Edwards together. Us Weekly reports that Maci and Taylor wrote their own vows and exchanged them inside a beautiful chapel in front of about 165 of their closest friends and family members. The rustic-themed ceremony, which Bookout says was “very traditional” and “religious” was officiated by the 25-year old star’s pastor grandfather. “[It was] really special,” she tells Us. We’d have to imagine. What a cool personal touch. Ready for your first look at the newlyweds as husband and wife? Here you go: Here is what else we know about the Maci Bookout wedding: It took place at the Honey Lake Resort and featured floral arrangements by Missy Gunnels Flowers. The DJ was Barnaby Xaphakdy. In lieu of the customary layered cake, those in attendance dined on a tiered display of delicious doughnuts by Katie’s Cakes & Catering, Inc. Prior to the reception, Bookout and McKinney had their first dance to John Legend’s emotional 2013 ballad “All of Me.” We strongly approve of that selection. Originally a featured player on 16 & Pregnant, Bookout and McKinney had been dating for nearly four years when they got engaged back in January. The proposal was featured on the season 6 premiere Teen Mom OG, which kicked off in August. Where are they going from here? To the Caribbean for a honeymoon, Bookout tells Us Weekly. “We’re going for seven nights, eight days,” she says. “So eight days with no children and beer and a beach, it’s going to be awesome. I’d say by day five, though, we’re probably going to be missing the kids a lot! “But we’ll try to enjoy it.” We have a feeling they’ll succeed. Sara Ramirez Comes Out as Bisexual

Sara Ramirez has made a major admission about her personal life: She is bisexual. The actress, best known for her long-running role as Callie Torres on Grey’s Anatomy, made this admission on Saturday in Los Angeles at the 40 To None Summit. This is what Ramirez said to those in attendance at the event: “So many of our youth experiencing homelessness are youth whose lives touch on many intersections, whether they be gender identity, gender expression, race, class, sexual orientation, religion, citizenship status. “And because of the intersections that exist in my own life – woman, multiracial woman, woman of color, queer, bisexual, Mexican-Irish American, immigrant, and raised by families heavily rooted in Catholicism on both my Mexican & Irish sides – I am deeply invested in projects that allow our youth’s voices to be heard.” Ramirez went on to say that she wants to “support our youth in owning their own complex narratives so that we can show up for them in the ways they need us to.” Following the appearance, Ramirez shared the quote on Twitter and Instagram. She also wrote the following: “#40ToNoneSummit #SpeakingMyTruth! Will post full video of speech soon! #ThankYou @TrueColorsFund #WomanOfColor #Bisexual #Queer #Immigrant.” In a separate Tweet, the beloved TV star added: ”#ThankYou @TrueColorsFund 4 the work you do 2 end #LGBTQ #YouthHomelessness & your support #Woman #Latinx #Bisexual #Intersectionality.” Ramirez is married to Ryan DeBolt. They wed in 2012. She came on board Grey’s Anatomy full-time on Season 2 of the ABC series. At that time, she served as a love interest to George O’Malley, but she eventually married a fellow female doctor a few years after George was killed in a bus accident. So this ended up being an example of art mirroring real life. The 40 to None Summit was named after the 40 percent of youth experiencing homelessness who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. The actress left Grey’s Anatomy after 10 years this past May, a move that surprised show creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes. “This one was different because it wasn’t a big planned thing,” Rhimes said at the Vulture Festival in NYC on May 22 of Ramirez departing. “I had a different plan going and when Sara came in and said, ‘I really need to take this break,’ I was lucky that we’d shot the end of the season with her going to New York.” We wouldn’t be surprised if Ramirez returns to the series at some point. We congratulate her on this brave announcement. She joins the following celebrities as stars who are out as bisexual: View Slideshow: 34 Bisexual Celebrities

ABC, CBS: Did ‘Heightened Fear and Prejudice’ of Ground Zero Mosque Prompt NYC Violence?

ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS’s Early Show on Thursday both speculated as to whether the stabbing of a New York City cabbie was prompted by a climate of anti-Islamic anger. At the same time, GMA and NBC’s Today both ignored the fact that the attacker, Michael Enright, volunteered for a charity supporting the mosque. ABC’s Jeremy Hubbard wondered if the violence was ” proof the rhetoric surrounding the proposed Islamic cultural center and mosque near Ground Zero has created a heightened fear and prejudice against Muslims .” Early Show’s Chris Wragge bluntly asserted, “And this ongoing debate may have led to a brutal anti-Muslim attack here in New York City.” However, only CBS’s Elaine Quijano pointed out this salient piece of information: “Now, as for Michael Enright, he had volunteered for a group that promotes interfaith dialogue. The group Intersections International has supported the controversial cultural center and mosque near Ground Zero.” ABC’s Hubbard vaguely explained, “[Enright] also volunteers for a collegiate, church-affiliated group, dedicated to promoting peace and understanding.” ABCNews.com , on the third page of a three page story, did acknowledge the connection : Enright had traveled to Afghanistan with an organization called Intersections International, a New York-based group that promotes itself as promoting justice and peace across lines of faith (and has come out in support of the Islamic cultural center’s construction.) NBC’s Today had almost no coverage of the violence. Natalie Morales briefly explained, “An Honors student is charged with attempted murder and assault after allegedly stabbing a New York City cab driver in the neck. The victim said the suspect, Michael Enright, asked him if he was a Muslim and then slashed him.” A transcript of the Early Show segment, which aired at 7:12am EDT, follows: CHRIS WRAGGE: A new poll says a growing number of Americans are against the proposed Islamic center near Ground Zero. And this ongoing debate may have led to a brutal anti-Muslim attack here in New York City. CBS News correspondent Elaine Quijano has the disturbing details this morning. Elaine, good morning. ELAINE QUIJANO: Good morning to you, Chris. Well, police say the attacker was a college student who had done volunteer work in Afghanistan. He is now behind bars facing multiple counts, including attempted murder and assault as a hate crime after allegedly attacking a cabbie who said he is Muslim. Police say 21-year-old Michael Enright asked a New York City cab driver whether he was Muslim. When he answered that he was, Enright, authorities say, attacked. First uttering in Arabic a common greeting in the Muslim world, peace be unto you. AHMED SHARIF (slashing victim): I’m driving. He ask me where I’m from. I said, “Bangladesh.” Then, second question he asked me, “Are you Muslim?” I said, “Yes.” Then he told me “As-Salamu Alaykum.” QUIJANO: The alleged hate crime took place against the backdrop of a highly emotional debate over whether an Islamic cultural center, including a mosque, should be built two blocks from Ground Zero. The protests are spreading from New York to Tennessee where an intense debate over a proposed mosque near Nashville has raged all summer. UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN: It’s not about religion. It’s about stopping Tennessee homegrown terrorists. QUIJANO: There are nearly seven million Muslims and 1200 mosques in the United States. But a CBS News poll found 71 percent of Americans say it’s inappropriate to build a mosque so close to Ground Zero. Among them, some families of 9/11 victims. KEN FAIRBEN (father of 9/11 victim): I understand their religious beliefs. I understand they should have a place to play, an educational center. I have no problems with that whatsoever. But not there. Definitely not there. QUIJANO: Now, as for Michael Enright, he had volunteered for a group that promotes interfaith dialogue. The group Intersections International has supported the controversial cultural center and mosque near Ground Zero. If Enright is convicted of attempted murder, he faces a maximum eight to 25 years in prison.
