Things got especially interesting however when Marlo’s nemesis Kenya Moore showed up. ABC has just renewed the comedy for a sixth season along with ordering another spin-off, an early series order to the prequel Mixed-ish. The show is set in the 1980s and revolves around a young version of Tracee Ellis Ross’ Rainbow Johnson. Mixed-ish was set to air on May 7 as a planted episode of Black-ish , but according to The Hollywood Reporter , that episode will now be held for next season. The spin-off will revolve around young Bow as she recounts her experience growing up in a mixed-race family in the ’80s and the dilemmas they faced over whether to assimilate or stay true to themselves when her parents move from a hippie commune to the suburbs. Black-ish executive producer Peter Saji and creator Kenya Barris co-created Mixed-ish along with writing the script for the comedy. Both will executive produce alongside Tracee Ellis Ross, Randall Winston, Artists First’s Brian Dobbins, Laurence Fishburne and Helen Sugland’s Cinema Gypsy and Black-ish star Anthony Anderson. This marks the third show in the Black-ish franchise, joining Yara Shahidi’s spinoff Grown-ish on Freeform.

Source: Bravo / Getty Tonight’s episode Real Housewives of Atlanta is the final installment of the season 11 reunion, thankfully. It dragged on so long that it seemed like the entire season was the reunion. Anyway, tonight’s episode starts with Porsha calling NeNe out for giving her advice about not putting hands on people but turning around and putting her hands on people. So, you remember the closet incident, right? Turns out, NeNe (allegedly) choked one of the producers, who then had to go to the hospital and chipped a cameraman’s tooth. That was in addition to charging at Kandi and Porsha too. Andy then asks NeNe if she felt bad for putting her hands on people because he’s messy, but of course, NeNe said she doesn’t feel bad. Marlo is egging NeNe on but she gets called out because when that incident happened, you could hear her yelling, “She’s pregnant!” She was talking about Porsha because NeNe charged her at her and managed to pull her belt off. On stage, Marlo claims she doesn’t even remember saying that and that she didn’t see NeNe even touch Porsha. NeNe also plays dumb and says she wasn’t even near Porsha. It was weird. Marlo was NeNe’s hypeman the entire night, but NeNe likes her friends sycophantic so… The entire reunion was pretty much Tanya, Cynthia, Porsha, Kandi and at times, Eva, that NeNe can be foul. They did this last week, and the week after that and guess what, NeNe pretends she doesn’t care and tries to turn this into what she usually does by saying that all the girls on the show love going against her because she’s the Queen Bee. Eva gets her moment to call out NeNe for pretending that her mic was off in order to talk to her that time Eva left their outing to go home because she was tired of them grilling her. NeNe doesn’t think she was wrong in that situation either. Eva explains that she was hurt because she had to learn that NeNe lied to her on TV. Again, NeNe doesn’t care. Then we move on to Eva talking about her domestic violence situation with her ex playing a major role in why he had to move so much. And Marlo chimes in talking about Eva isn’t genuine—as if anyone asked her. In other news, Cynthia’s love life is flourishing. We know she’s planning to marry Mike, which is a big deal because she is pretty much the runaway bride. But her friendship with NeNe is done, once again. This time they fell out over Kenya coming to Cynthia’s party. Basically, Cynthia looked shady because she and Kandi said they were going to pretend they didn’t know Kenya was coming but tonight we learn that the editing played a role in how it looked. According to Kandi, Kenya told her last minute, as in right before she was entering the party, that Kenya was coming. Kandi then passed the word on to Cynthia so that’s when Cynthia said she was just going to pretend she didn’t know Kenya was coming because she didn’t want any drama with NeNe. Kandi and Cynthia both explain that they didn’t intend it to be shady but NeNe doesn’t care. She’s pissed at them for lying—basically doing the same thing she did to Eva. Then there’s another nasty back and forth between Cynthia and NeNe with Marlo yapping in the background as well. Finally, it’s clear that Cynthia is over it, and with NeNe and Marlo acting like Mean Girls, it’s understandable. There’s even one point where Cynthia can be heard saying, “This is not enough money.” Andy gives Cynthia and NeNe a chance to say some closing remarks as the episode winds down. Cynthia acknowledges that she may have looked crazy at the party but that she didn’t intend to hurt NeNe, and that NeNe said some hurtful things too. But Cynthia is ready to move forward since NeNe insists on being evil and bitter. NeNe decides not to address Cynthia at all. Porsha jumps in talking about how sad it is that Cynthia and NeNe are no longer friends, for the umpteenth time, and that she hopes they can get cool again. Whatevs. Finally, We close out the reunion with Porsha leading a prayer because all of them will need it, especially if they’re going to get back together to film season 12. But leave NeNe out of it. She needs a break from the show indefinitely…or forever. Keeping Up with the Kardashians kicked off a new season by giving viewers something they had never seen before. The fallout from Tristan Thompson cheating ? Please, we’ve sadly seen that more than once at this point. On Sunday night, however, fans were treated to their first-ever look at Kanye West in a confessional. Whoa, right?!? The Season 16 premiere marked this rapper’s most significant involved to date on his wife’s long-running reality show, as producers looked for a way to surprise viewers for a change. “This is my first time doing this,” West joked to the camera. “I’m not actually attempting to do good.” What prompted the decision on Kanye’s part? The Incredibles, he hilariously stated on air. “It starts off with the interviews! The superheroes are giving interviews,” the artist said of this Pixar classic. “The wife got a big butt and I just see our life becoming more and more and more like The Incredibles until we can finally fly.” The guy’s got (kinda mean) jokes. Who knew?!? It was only appropriate for West to play such a major role this week because he and Kim told their loved ones that they were expecting child number-four, once again via surrogate . “We have an announcement to make,” Kardashian noted to her family at dinner. “We’re having a baby. We’re having a boy.” After pushing the extended family to not say anything to anyone about this development, Kim realized that North West might end alerting the world to the news — by accident, of course. “A mom at school texts me and goes, ‘Congrats! I heard you’re having a baby brother,'” Kim told Kylie Jenner. “And she goes, ‘Yeah! North is going around saying she finally has a baby brother so Saint won’t bother her anymore.'” Later on, Kim and Kanye went to Chicago (the city) for business, partly because the couple needed some help from Rhymefest. Yes, the same Rhymefest with whom Kim beefed about a year ago after he put out a statement that distanced himself and Donda’s House (a charity he runs, named after Kanye’s late mother) from West’s pro-Donald Trump views. “While we cannot and do not speak for Kanye West and his views, we can and will speak up for the youth that we serve,” this rapper said in that controversial statement last May, adding: “We ask that as you boycott and protest Kanye West, that you not forget that we are a non-profit organization that like other non-profits needs donations, corporate support, and volunteers.” We thought it was pretty fair. But as you can see here, Kim did not: How did their sit-down go on the premiere? Very well, actually. “Kanye is from a village and the village was feeling like our dear brother, you know what I’m saying? Turned his back on the village,” the hip hop artist and philanthropist expressed to the Wests. on Sunday. “And so, I struck out.” Rhymefest also acknowledged that he “could’ve reacted better” to the situation. “I just think that everyone should communicate to each other and not on social media,” Kim concluded. “I think you just get so much more done if you have a conversation.” Elsewhere on the installment, which was filmed awhile back, Khloe, Kourtney and Kendall joined a large group of friends for a trip to Kris Jenner’s brand-new, GIGANTIC Palm Springs estate. The goal of the trip was to cheer up Kourtney, who admitted to “feeling a lot of anxiety” following her dramatic breakup with Younes Bendjima. (Like we said: it was filmed awhile back.) Khloe, for her part, felt no anxiety about things with Thompson. They FaceTimed and said they loved each other and our heart broke more and more with each word uttered. “I have come to a place in my life where I am super comfortable,” Khloe said on the premiere, adding that she’s been making “a conscious effort” to try and “drown out” negativity, criticism and self-doubt. She actually referenced the FIRST Tristan cheating scandal at one point, saying: “It’s been a few months, me and Tristan are great. And I am loving being a mommy. It’s bittersweet. I love seeing every milestone with her but I feel like she grows, like, in one week she’s like a completely different baby.” Poor Khloe, right? Nene Leakes has had a rough season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. From her random meltdowns to her fights with cancer-stricken husband, Gregg Leakes, we think it’s fair to say she was looking forward to filming for the season ending. Sunday’s season finale found Leakes upset once again, and it made for some good TV. Nene’s BFF Cynthia Bailey threw a party to celebrate her cocktail collaboration with Seagram’s Gin. She also invited former housewife, Kenya Moore to the lavish event. Kenya and Nene have been at war for several years now, and Cynthia didn’t give Nene a heads up, presumably because she knew Nene would flip her $hit. Nene admitted that she and Kenya did manage to find a way to put the past behind them, and they maintained a friendship throughout the latter’s pregnancy. Nene was subsequently blindsided when she was left out of Kenya’s baby shower. In true Nene fashion, she did not take the diss well and hit up social media to rant and rave. Kandi Burruss showed up at the event of the season with Kenya, who was very pregnant. Nene was blindsided and felt betrayed. Nene was so mad that she refused to let Gregg go up on the stage to speak about his cancer battle, resulting in an awkward scene that really should have been left on the cutting room floor. Nene and Marlo proved to be the Queens of shade when they made fun of Kenya for the entire night. Childish? Yes, but it was just par for the course with these two. The party caused a clear divide between the ladies, but Nene wanted to hash things out in the aftermath. As such, Cynthia wanted to make sure she was on the “same page” as her friends before meeting Nene. Kandi said that Kenya wanted her entrance to be a surprise, presumably so that Nene could not pull out at the last second. Cynthia tried to imply that she did not know Kenya was making a surprise appearance, but she was exposed when some footage from the party confirmed the truth. “I’m supposed to act like I didn’t know Kenya was coming,” she whispered during the party. Cynthia then called Kandi, and when the latter answered, she yelled “I’m mic’d.” repeatedly, but that wasn’t enough to shut Cynthia up. “I just want to make sure we was on the same page setting up how Kenya got there,” she yelled. Cynthia later maintained her stance that she was in the dark about Kenya to Nene. Nene did not care about Kenya’s surprise appearance, and it was more that Cynthia didn’t tell her she invited her. “Honestly, after I went to Kenya’s baby shower, I hadn’t really heard from you that much. I’d call you, but you wouldn’t respond. You were being a little distant,” Cynthia told NeNe, adding: “This was my event, NeNe. This was my event. I can invite anybody to my event. The only thing I wanted was for my friends to come on my night, but I didn’t think for one second that you couldn’t be in a room with Kenya.” “Wasn’t I in there?” NeNe shot back, and the back and forth continued until Nene realized that she was incredibly sad about everything. Cynthia tried to apologize, but Nene seemed done. “I hope that Cynthia and I are in a good place and that our friendship is as tight as I think it is, but she’s just made me see her in a different light,” NeNe later said in a confessional. “And that light is dim.” As we already know, Nene made her feelings heard by unfollowing most of her cast members, so the reunion should be fun, especially with the footage of Cynthia lying.
