This Is Us Recap: Toby’s Got a Secret. Did He Keep It?

Kate and Toby were at the center of This Is Us Season 4 Episode 2. And so was their son, Jack, which is where the problems between the couple arose. We’ll start with this: A clearly thinner Toby simply could not hide his anxiety over the baby boy’s diagnosis of blindness on this installment of the NBC drama. The family remarked on Toby’s weight loss, which he attributed to stress and stress only. Kate, for her part, appeared to be holding things together and also appeared to be unshaken by any new developments. The husband and wife did get plenty support from Kevin, Rebecca, Miguel and Madison as they navigated the ins and outs of parenting a child who cannot see. Kate eventually lost it when she thought about Jack never getting to see a Pittsburgh Steelers game — and she wondered whether his condition was her fault because doctors warned her not to get pregnant. However, she regained her inner strength once she decided that he would live a limitless life… with the Pearsons’ assistance. She was still struggling, though. Could anyone blame her? Toby noted that Kate was overeating to cope and that he was worried about her, while he was secretly sneaking to the gym to work out and slim down. Elsewhere… Kevin also attempted to remain busy to maintain his sobriety. He helped Kate and Toby… went to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings… wrapped a new film with M. Night Shyamalan … and considered a job offer in Chicago. However, he could not stop thinking about Nicky (Griffin Dunne), who totally ghosted him after Kevin wired him bail money. Instead of heading to Illinois to take a meeting about a new movie, Kevin traveled to Nicky’s trailer to figure out what was up with him. Watch This Is Us Season 4 Episode 2 Online Nearby, Randall, Beth and the girls settled into life in Pittsburgh. Tess (Eris Baker) and Deja (Lyric Ross) wanted to express their independence, naturally, by getting a kinda crazy haircut and riding the city bus to school alone, respectively — but their parents hesitated. Ultimately, they caved as viewers discovered that Deja’s route passed by Malik’s auto shop and she had been flirting with him via text message. Finally… In flashbacks, Jack, Rebecca and the Big Three went to the pool, yet it was nothing like their Season 1 trip. Unfortunately. The children were about to begin seventh grade and were not into hanging with their mom and dad. Kevin and Randall argued over their less than brotherly treatment of each other… and Kate kissed a boy after falling prey to a prank by popular girls. This Is Us airs on NBC Tuesdays at 9/8c.

Kailyn Lowry seems to make a genuine effort to get along with her baby daddies. But there's a difference between being friendly and what Javi Marroquin wanted her to do at this year's Teen Mom 2 reunion taping. Now, we already knew that Javi cheated on his fiancee, Lauren Comeau . What we didn't know until now was that he (allegedly) tried to hook up with Kailyn Lowry behind her back. We're guessing Lauren is having second thoughts about giving her man another chance right about now! Take a look: 1. Handsy Javi Kail and Javi have hooked up several times since ending their marriage back in 2016. And clearly, it’s an arrangement he thought would continue … 2. He Was Wrong The problem with that, of course, is that Javi is engaged to Lauren Comeau. And as far as we know, the couple is not in an open relationship. 3. Popping the Question Of course, Javi and Lauren’s engagement was a new development when Kail filmed her scenes for this week’s Teen Mom 2. And while Comeau seemed to believe Javi had changed his cheating ways … Lowry was less convinced. 4. Not Exactly Low-Key But as Javi learned the hard way this week, it’s hard to get away with cheating when a camera crew follows both you and your attempted cheating partner all day. 5. Javi Marroquin & Lauren Comeau: We’re Officially Back Together!

Well, that didn’t take long. Just weeks after she caught Javi Marroquin cheating on her in her own home, Lauren Comeau seems ready to forgive and forget. Earlier this month, we reported that Lauren had moved back in with Javi . (Understandably, she retreated to her home state of Maine after catching her fiance banging one of his CrossFit students in their bathroom.) Now, the couple has taken another step toward reconciliation by making their relationship Instagram official. Javi posted the pic below on Instagram this week. At first glance, it may seem to be nothing more than a precious moment featuring his 1-year-old son witn Lauren. But on closer inspection, you’ll notice that those are Lauren’s hands helping little Eli with his first steps. Javi captioned the pic, “Cherish these moments.” Clearly, he believes there are some moments in life during which relationship strife and other stressors must be set aside so that one can be fully present in the moment. Javi probably takes a similar view of illicit bathroom assignations, but that’s a conversation for another time. Anyway, as much as Teen Mom 2 fans might have preferred that Javi finally be held accountable for his actions, it seems he’s been let off the hook yet again. “Lauren is back home,” a source confirmed to Radar. “They are trying to work on things.” Judging by her Instrgam page, it seems that Lauren has been back in Dover for at least two weeks, meaning she was very quick to give Javi a second chance. However, many fans have pointed out that she’s still not wearing her engagement ring, as evidenced by the photo above. Obviously, this is not the first time that Marroquin has been unfaithful. He allegedly cheated on Kailyn Lowry numerous times during their brief marriage. And yet, the father of two keeps worming his way back into the good graces of the women in his life. How is this possible? Well, it seems the phenomenon is at least partially due to the fact that Javi has mastered the art of the schmaltzy, melodramatic apology. “Lauren, I’m sorry for my mistakes, I’m sorry I broke your heart, I’m sorry I disrespected you,” he wrote in an open letter posted to his Instagram page shortly after his latest cheating scandal went public. “I’m sorry I took you for granted. I could say sorry for a million other things but I’m sorry will never be enough,” Marroquin continued. “I will do everything in my power to become a better man and hopefully one day you can forgive me,” he added. “I’ll do anything to have you home.” Some would argue that he should have worked on that “becoming a better man” business after the last time he got caught cheating, but we digress. Elsewhere in the letter, Javi turned his attention to his two young sons: “I failed you as a father and failed at my attempt to show you both what it is to be a man,” he wrote. “I promise you both my actions will not reflect on how you will treat women, let alone the one you love.” It may not seem like Javi has been the greatest role model to his sons, but he may be useful as an example of what not to do: Don’t cheat on your fiance; don’t make private matters public, and — most importantly — never get into CrossFit. It’s basically Scientology for fitness bros.

Javi Marroquin: Lauren Comeau Got Me to Stop Being a Douche!

Earlier this week, we reported on the recent evolution of Jax Taylor , the abusive, sociopathic Vanderpump Rules star who now claims to have changed his ways. And what does that have to do with former Kail Lowry husband and current Teen Mom 2 star Javi Marroquin? Well, like Jax, Javi is one of those guys who expects a hearty pat on the back for the achievement of becoming slightly less douchey over the course of several years. If you’re a TM2 viewer, then you’re probably already aware Javi is now engaged to Lauren Comeau . And he seems intent on creating the sort of stable nuclear family that he was unable to build with Kail. Javi and Lauren welcomed their first child back in November, and the couple recently purchased a house together. Marroquin even opened his own Crossfit gym , seemingly as a baby step away from the high-profile world of reality television. In the past, Javi has blamed MTV stardom for the failure of his marriage to Kail. And so, it came as quite a surprise to many when Lauren agreed to appear on the current season of Teen Mom 2 . If Javi’s last relationship melted under the spotlight, isn’t he concerned that fame will have the same effect on his current romance? No, says Javi, as he’s now a changed man and at least 10 percent less douchey than when he was married to Kail. Javi made this revelation during a recent interview with OK! magazine. Marroquin admits that he and Comeau went through some hard times early in their relationship as a result of his fame. “We had so much thrown at us at once,” he tells the tabloid. “I think I’ve been getting better. There was a point where I was like, I’m gonna do what I want and I don’t care about the results, good or bad , but then Lauren came around and [son] Eli came around.” Not an awesome attitude for a father of two young boys to have, but that’s one of the ways in which Javi claims he’s changed. “Me and Lauren are doing so much better than we were,” he adds. Javi says his relationship has been “different” ever since he and Lauren reconciled last year. The first time around, he says, “We were going out, drinking, but then Eli was born and we couldn’t do all that stuff.” After the birth of his second son, however, Javi says he and Lauren “went out for her birthday.” He notes that the occasion was “so much fun. It reminded me of all the stuff we used to do.” So has Javi really changed, or did he just change while Lauren was pregnant? We guess only time will tell. Nathan Griffith: Here are Photos of What David Eason Did to My Son!

Quite a few people have claimed that David Eason is abusive to the people around him. We've heard it in court documents from his exes, from Jenelle Evans' family, and even from Jenelle herself. One of the most heartbreaking stories about David's alleged violent tendencies happened last year when Nathan Griffith had Kaiser, the son he shares with Jenelle, for the weekend. After discovering bruises on his backside, he refused to hand the boy back over to Jenelle. It was a great big mess, we'll review the details in a moment, but right now, let's get into the new part of the story. Which is that Nathan has finally shared photos of what he claims David did to Kaiser. And they are simply heartbreaking. 1. Such a Sad Story As sad as it is to think about, sometimes it feels like poor, sweet little Kaiser never had a chance, doesn’t it? 2. Awww Jenelle got pregnant with him shortly after she began dating Nathan — like, she got pregnant so fast that she wasn’t sure if she was actually pregnant or if her pregnancy test was positive because she’d been pregnant a little while before and she’d had an abortion. 3. Bad News Jenelle and Nathan were never great for each other, although he didn’t get her into heroin, so that’s cool. Mostly they fought a lot and said horrible things to each other. 4. So Long, Nate They broke up in 2016, and very shortly after, Jenelle met David. 5. Gross And as we all know, things pretty much fell apart after that. 6. Boo, David As we saw during David’s time on the show, he wasn’t very nice to Kaiser — probably because Kaiser has always looked exactly like Nathan, and David has always had quite the problem with Nathan. Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin Clash Over Lauren Comeau!

Well, that didn't take long, Teen Mom 2 Season 9 premiered on MTV last night, and in her first episode on the show, Lauren Comeau quickly ran afoul of Kailyn Lowry. On Twitter, a debate raged among fans as the episode aired. Is Lauren to blame for Kail's ill will? Did shew ever stand a chance, or had Kail already made up her mind about Lauren before she knew anything about her? Well, Lauren is keeping mum on the issue, but Javi Marroquin and Kail both have quite a bit to say. Take a look: 1. No Emotions On Monday’s season premiere, Kail revealed that she “felt nothing” upon learning her ex-husband had gotten engaged to Lauren Comeau. 2. Downhill Fast The situation quickly deteriorated, however, as Kail caught wind of some unkind words from Lauren. 3. The “T” Word According to Kail, Lauren repeatedly called her a “tw-t” in a lengthy text to Javi which she discovered during her pseudo-reconciliation with Marroquin back in 2017. 4. Strong Feelings “I don’t want to be around her good terms, bad terms — you don’t exist to me!” Kail told one of the show’s producers during last night’s episode. 5. Lauren’s Side Lauren feels quite differently about the situation and was actually quite eager to meet Kail. 6. Mystery Solved “It makes me want to wonder why she hasn’t wanted to meet me for this long,” Comeau said to Marroquin during Monday’s episode. View Slideshow

Devin Lima: Mourned by Last Living Member of LFO

Brad Fischetti is a man in mourning. On Wednesday, Devin Lima, a singer with the former boy band LFO, died after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was only 41 years old. Prior to Lima’s diagnosis just over a year ago, he and Fischetti were scheduled to go on tour, a plan that obviously had to be scrapped once Lima’s discovered he was sick. Several hours after news of Lima’s death went public, Fischetti issued a statement of mourning. “Devin, as the world knows him, was an extraordinary talent, a doting father to his six children, and a loving partner to their mother,” Brad told E! News, adding in sad detail: “He was a beloved son and brother and a friend to so many. “On behalf of the LFO family, thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love from friends, family, fans, media, and those in the music industry.” Lima’s passing, following his struggle with stage four adrenal cancer, came eight years after band mate Rich Cronin died at age 36 after battling leukemia. Fischetti is the only member of this group still alive. To conclude his statement to E!, Fischetti relayed the final conversation he had with his close friend and fellow musician. “A few days before [Devin] passed away he said to me, ‘Bro, when it’s over, just tell them I disappeared.’ My friends, Harold ‘Devin’ Lima has disappeared.” Such a tragedy. In 2017, Fischetti and Lima had performed as an LFO duo, releasing the track “Perfect 10” and playing multiple shows together. “We were in the midst of planning the 2nd and 3rd legs of the tour when Devin was diagnosed with a very large tumor in his abdomen,” Fischetti explained on his website last year. On Twitter, he then asked fans to pray “4 Devin please.” An endless array of these prayers were passed along in the difficult months since. Lima joined LFO in the late 1990s, joining founding members Fischetti and Cronin. The group became famous for singles such as “Summer Girls” and “Girls on TV.” Brian “Brizz” Gillis, a founding member of the group who left before Lima came on board, wrote the following on Facebook yesterday shortly after Lima’s death became known: “Lost for words!! Briana DeJesus: I Wish Javi the Best. No, Really!

Briana DeJesus would like your attention please. She would like you to focus on your computer screen and read her words carefully, okay? Because she really does not want to address this topic again. DeJesus has spoken to In Touch Weekly and tried to make her opinion on ex-boyfriend Javi Marroquin has clear as possible. The Teen Mom 2 star knows what’s being written about her at the moment and she’d really like to put an end to those rumors — right here, right now, once and for all. So here she goes: “To be clear I am only responding to this because it’s continuing to be in the press and hence I’m being asked about it,” Briana tells the aforementioned tabloid, adding for emphasis: “I never said anyone cheated on me. That never came out my mouth.” DeJesus is correct in thiis statement. And this is why she felt a need to make it… On November 15, Javi welcomed his second son into the world and his first with girlfriend Lauren Comeau. The boy’s name is Eli and even ex-wife Kailyn Lowry Tweeted “congrats” to Marroquin. But Briana did not do so. Instead, she wrote one simple sentence on social media that made many folks think she was accusing Javi of cheating on her early in 2018. This is what she wrote: DeJesus is referencing a plastic surgery procedure she had done in Florida. As loyal Teen Mom viewers may recall, Javi flew down to The Sunshine State at the time to be with her and to try and salvage their relationship. This was about 10 months before Comeau gave birth to Marroquin’s child, meaning Javi and her must have gotten busy right around the same time as he was visting Briana. So he’s a giant CHEATER, right? Wrong, DeJesus now clarifies. “People asked me what was my timeline and I said February 1st was the day I got my  urgery,” the MTV star says to In Touch, adding that folks drew their own conclusions fromn there. For the record, it’s true. The timeline doesn’t exactly add up. Comeau was due on December 1 (she was induced early due to some complications) and nine months prior that would be March 1. There is a window in there in which Javi could have been broken up from Briana at the time he shagged Lauren. “Nothing has ever come out of my mouth specifically where I said he cheated on me,” Briana says now. “My relationship with Javi is LONG in the past.” Both sides habe obviously moved one. Javi has a new child and a steady girlfriend. Briana is also in a relationship and doesn’t wish to continually revisit a romance that fizzled out so long ago. “I wish Lauren and Javi the best with their new child,” she tells In Touch. “As far as I’m concerned, this is a dead issue and I’m continuing to move forward in my life with positivity and people around me that make me happy. “And that’s that.” Well said all around, Briana. For Comeau’s part, she has mostly remained silent since getting together with Marroquin. But she did feel a need to speak out after her son’s dad was accused of being dishonest and unethical. “I’ll tell you the day we conceived. March 10! We know the timeline,” Comeau told Radar Online this week, adding: “There was no possible way of cheating.” She also had a few harsh words for DeJesus. Lauren Comeau is a bit weaker than usual at the moment. That's what happens when you give birth to a human being, as Comeau did back on November 15 . She and Javi Marroquin welcomed a son named Eli and he's very cute and everyone is happy for her… … except Javi's ex-girlfriend, Briana DeJesus, who used the date of this blessed event to accuse Javi of cheatiing on her. How so?  Scroll down to find out and then keep scrolling to see how Comeau got up the strength to defend Marroquin — in no uncertain terms: 1. First, Here’s the Baby He’s downright adorable. He weighed in at six pounds and 13 ounces when he was born. 2. And Here’s the New Family Again… so precious, right?!? Both Comeau and Marroquin posted this picture after welcoming their first kid together. 3. Javi Now Has Two Sons And here they are! The five-year old is named Lincoln and is shared by Marroquin and Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry. 4. Adorable! So… What’s the Issue Here? Ask Briana DeJesus. She Tweeted this message upon the occasion of this birth, doing some math and implying strongly that Javi slept with Comeau while he was dating her. (Because Javi visited Florida for Briana’s surgery and attempted to keep their romantic flame lit while there.) 5. FAKE LOVE! Briana went on to label her love with Javi “fake” and made it clear she’s moved on. But still doesn’t think highly of her ex. 6. What Say You, Lauren? FAKE ACCUSATION, she says of Briana’s allegation against Javi. “I’ll tell you the day I conceived: March 10. We know the timeline. We know when we conceived,” Lauren has told Radar Online. Javi Marroquin: Kailyn Lowry and Lauren Comeau Will NEVER Be Friends!

Last night, the world learned that Javi Marroquin and Lauren Comeau have welcomed a child . The baby boy is Javi’s second child and Lauren’s first. As Javi pointed out in a video message to fans, this is an exciting time for the young couple for a number of reasons. Not only did he just welcome a second son, his firstborn is about to turn 5, and Javi announced this week that he’ll soon enter the world of celebrity boxing. “So with this boxing fight and the birth of my new son, probably wasn’t a good idea to do it on the same day,” Marroquin said in the video. “I have a quick second, so many people texting me and calling me I’ve been ignoring everything.” On top of all that Javi and Lauren recently bought a house together . So we think it’s safe to say she’ll be sticking around for a while. And that may not sit well with Javi’s first baby mama. As we’ve reported before, Lauren and Kailyn Lowry do not get along . And it doesn’t look as though that will be changing any time soon. Javi admits that he’s not thrilled with the situation and wishes Kail and Lauren could find some common ground. But he also says he won’t be forcing the issue: “I tell Lauren this all the time, I think we’re just gonna let it flow and let it happen naturally, so whenever we cross paths and they just talk and stop and meet, I mean, we’re not gonna force it,” Javi recently told Us Weekly . “We’re not gonna set up a dinner date or whatnot,” he added. “We’re gonna see each other at sporting events, like basketball is starting up again in the winter, but we’re just gonna let it happen naturally and when it happens, it happens.” We guess that’s the mature approach to take here. Now, let’s see if everyone sticks with it. Asked about the rumors that Kail has a new boyfriend, Javi was similarly non-committal: “Kail is pretty open with me as far as communication, so if it’s true, I mean I’m sure she’ll tell me soon,” he told Us . “I think I tell this to Kail all the time, you know, she deserves a lot. She’s a very hard worker and it’s a shame that she’s … I don’t want to see her settle, so I tell her all the time, ‘Know your worth and don’t settle for anyone. Your time will come.’ “I just want her to know that you know, she’s special and someone out there will be great for her. I just don’t want her to get caught up with any bad guys and see her cry or any of the stuff like that and that’s really it.” It’s great that Javi has Kail’s best interests at heart.  Now if only he felt that way when they were together.
