If Desire Cordero doesn’t look familiar, don’t worry, I didn’t recognize her either, and it’s my job to stay up-to-date on all the latest hotties out there. But according to my research, Desire was Miss Spain in the 2014 Miss Universe contest and she made the Top 10 because, well, she’s smoking hot. So here she is at some Maybelline event in Madrid, and I just hope Desire’s going to be a more familiar sight from here on out. Maxim magazine has revealed its Hot 100 List for 2014, and it was Victoria’s Secret supermodel and South African beauty Candice Swanepoel coming out on top. A bit of a surprise choice, albeit a worthy one. The 25-year-old bested 99 other stunners for the top spot in the publication’s annual rankings. A 96-year-old man from Peoria, Illinois, who entered a song-writing contest with an ode to his late wife of 73 years has made the Top 10 on iTunes. Fred Stobaugh says the lyrics – written and submitted by hand – for “Oh Sweet Lorraine” just came to him one night about six weeks after his wife passed. He submitted them for a local radio station’s song-writing contest. Fred didn’t win, but producers were so moved that they decided to record it for him. They did, and the story went viral as the Internet collectively melted. 96-Year-Old Man Writes Love Song For Late Wife “Oh Sweet Lorraine” made it all the way to #7 on iTunes last Friday, and is still going strong at #39 as of this morning.
