Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes: It’s OVER (At Least Temporarily)!

McGosling fans, rejoice. According to reports, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are “taking a break” in their relationship after deciding they were “moving too fast.” 2 Fast 2 Furious, you could say. See what we did there? Eva was in a movie by that name … anyway. The actress and The Notebook hunk are on a break! Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes on Break “There was a realization before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing toward a marriage that neither of them particularly needed,” a source said. “They’ve decided to take a break to reevaluate their romance.” And with that, we can reevaluate the rumors circulating earlier this fall that Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are getting back together!! Maybe!!?? According to a source close to the actor, Gosling, 33, is the one who is undecided about a future with Mendes, whereas “Eva wanted to have his babies.” Don’t they all. Mendes, 39, has been Gosling’s girlfriend for more than two years, whereas he and Rachel haven’t been together since … several years before that. Eva was reportedly upset with Ryan this year after McAdams, his Notebook co-star and ex-girlfriend, called him for comfort after her split from Michael Sheen. McGosling is not back together … at least not yet, despite the rumors tying the two together for months. But she may well be a factor in all this. Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams Back On? “The real question is how Eva figures into Ryan’s plans,” the source said, adding that she’s starring in his directorial effort, How to Catch a Monster, in 2014. “They both know they need some kind of resolution in their relationship before they go out and promote their movie, in which Ryan directed Eva in a very big part.” “At the end of the day they are both so uncertain about their future. Don’t be surprised if these two resurface together for New Year’s,” the source adds. And don’t be surprised if we watch The Notebook on New Year’s in the event that reconciliation happens, yearning for what might have been. In the meantime … #McGoslingForever!!!!!!

96-Year-Old Man’s Song For Late Wife Makes Top 10 on iTunes

A 96-year-old man from Peoria, Illinois, who entered a song-writing contest with an ode to his late wife of 73 years has made the Top 10 on iTunes. Fred Stobaugh says the lyrics – written and submitted by hand – for “Oh Sweet Lorraine” just came to him one night about six weeks after his wife passed. He submitted them for a local radio station’s song-writing contest. Fred didn’t win, but producers were so moved that they decided to record it for him. They did, and the story went viral as the Internet collectively melted. 96-Year-Old Man Writes Love Song For Late Wife “Oh Sweet Lorraine” made it all the way to #7 on iTunes last Friday, and is still going strong at #39 as of this morning. It’s been downloaded more than 6,000 times. See the above video for more on Fred Stobaugh’s song and story.

Gravity Trailer: Will George Clooney, Sandra Bullock Survive?

U.S. astronauts attempt to return to Earth after debris crashes into their space shuttle, leaving them drifting alone in orbit in this third Gravity trailer. Here we see the gravity (so to speak) of what the protagonists played by George Clooney and Sandra Bullock are up against, and it does not look good. See the directorial vision of Alfonso Cuaron, and what James Cameron is already calling “the best space movie ever done,” in the Gravity trailer below: Gravity Movie Trailer Enough to pique your curiosity and then some? We thought so. Whether it’s Oscar material or not remains to be seen, but it’s certainly going to be closely watched, given the performances of the two big names. Gravity lands (so to speak) October 4 in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D.
