Marine’s Wedding Prayer Photo Goes Viral

U.S. Marine Cpl. Caleb Earwood married his bride, Maggie, in a ceremony made of their closest family and friends on Saturday, May 23. The Asheville, North Carolina, wedding might have been an intimate ceremony.  But by the end of the weekend, thousands of people saw a picture of an emotional moment before they exchanged vows. In a stunning photo taken by North Carolina photographer Dwayne Schmidt, the couple paused for a moment of prayer together.  They held hands, reaching around a door frame corner so they wouldn’t break tradition of seeing each other before the altar. Caleb is wearing his dress blues, bowing his head, while Maggie attempts to hold back her tears. “We were about to take our first steps in life together, and we didn’t want to take a step without it being in God’s will,” Caleb said to today.com . “I prayed to God for my beautiful and intelligent wife that he blessed me with and the amazing family I was marrying into.” Maggie was thankful for her soon-to-be husband’s devotion.  She said, “When I first grabbed his hand, he was shaking really bad, so I knew he was really nervous.” “It relieved me to know the person I was getting ready to marry felt the same way about God.” The couple is excited to know that their wedding photo has gone viral: “We’re thankful that our picture is able to bless so many people and touch that many hearts,” said Caleb. Mr. and Mrs. Earwood will call Jacksonville, North Carolina, home while Caleb is stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. View Slideshow: Amazing Wedding Photos: It’s a Tornado!

Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 16 Recap: What’s in a Name?

Could it really be over for Meredith and Derek?!? Is  Calzona truly done forever? Will Richard and Maggie ever have a normal family relationship? These questions were asked and possibly answered on  Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 16 . Following her nightmare call to Derek last week, Meredith confided in Alex and Maggie that the woman on the other end of the line “sounded happy and tall with with a lot of great hair.” But Derek would never step out on her, Callie and company assured Meredith. Despite that while Addison business awhile back. We never did receive the answer about this woman’s identity, but the episode concluded with Derek on Meredith’s doorstep, prepared to explain everything (next Thursday, on What transpired on Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 17 , of course). Elsewhere, Arizona caught Callie being kissed by her Internet date, which led to Callie growing angry that she felt the need to apologize for smooching another woman.  Later on, Arizona asked how long Callie had been seeing this person, prompting the latter to stand up for herself and yell at Arizona for having no right to ask such questions. However, by the hour’s end, she finally admitted, “I wasn’t jealous, I was just worried” and she’d been out with that woman herself… she was a total nut job. Maggie, meanwhile, dealt with the case of an Alzheimer’s’ patient. She grew pretty irate over it, to the point where Richard had to tell her that his late wife had the disease. And so did Maggie’s mother, Ellis. This depressing father/daughter bonding session ended with Maggie admitting she always knew she was predisposed to the illness. In other storylines: Jackson realized April isn’t fragile and allowed himself to have sex with her in a car. Owen and Amelia also kept trying to have sex, though work kept getting in the way. Stephanie continued to obsess over Mer’s streak … until Meredith lit into her over it. Miss anything? Want to see more? But a plane crash, a hospital shooter and an earthquake later, there’s just nowhere else for this show to go. Nearly all original cast members have departed. Grey’s Anatomy should say goodbye before it soars too high over the shark. 2. Revenge The red sharpie barely makes an appearance any longer on this once-suspenseful ABC drama. Any revenge plan that takes this long to carry out likely isn’t gonna be successful. 3. Homeland Homeland basically died along with Nicholas Brody. It’s just a watered down version of what it once was now. 4. American Idol It’s just sad to watch this former ratings juggernaut limp to its conclusion… with no real end in sight. Advertisement A message from our sponsor. 5. 2 Broke Girls This show is just racist. 6. Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD It turns out that a Marvel universe without superheroes just isn’t all that exciting. 7. Keeping Up with the Kardashians Just… please… make… it… stop. 8. The Bachelorette Once producers resort to the gimmick of TWO Bachelorettes basically pulling each other’s hair out and possibly offering the guys sexual favors in order to earn the honor of being voted the sole Bachelorette… we’re pretty sure it’s time to move on. Matthew Perry deserves better. The End. Up Next: ” 9 TV Shows That SHOULD Be Canceled .” We’ll be redirecting you shortly…

My name is Maggie! In my life I have always read the MBE’s…

My name is Maggie! In my life I have always read the MBE’s but yet I never had any confidence that I would ever have a story to write about. Well with the slogan, “Never Say Never.” I always never gave up on the dream.  For my birthday, my mom and dad surprised me with bringing me to the Today Show to see Justin Bieber . I was so excited. I counted down the days until I went! When we got into New York my dad dropped my mom and I off in the line to sleep overnight for Justin. The line was already long but we got there around noon and sat there doing nothing. While waiting in line, my mom became really close to the lady next to us. I had already known that Justin was going to be on the David Letterman Show, but I didn’t know that you could go wait outside. Well the lady next to my mom had a daughter who we hung out with in line. She said that she would take us to wait outside the David Letterman when all of a sudden I turn my head and I saw SCOOTER BRAUN! I screamed so loud! I told him that it was my birthday and took a picture with him! He was so nice! He even signed my shoe, but he asked my mom first because he knew that Uggs were very expensive! Also he had a whole conversation with my dad! He even told me I had SWAG.  After that, I waited in line at David Letterman for 6 hours while my mom held our spot in line. Well my mom called me and told me that Justin just drove past the Today Show line! She said everyone ran down to the car and she was by herself! As the car drove away, she waved. Whoever was driving, backed up the car and Justin reached his hand out the window and shook my moms hand! He said, “Hi! How are you?” and my mom just said “Oh hi Justin!” I started freaking out! He pulled up at the Letterman Show and I was standing right next to his car! He just waved and I freaked! I got a really good picture of him walking in! Since it was pouring rain, a lot of people left. We waited another hour for him to come outside. When he came outside, they made it fast and he just went right into his car. He rolled down his window and I started waving! Of course I jumped over the barricade and ran to the car! He looked and me and said hi then grabbed my hand! I was like “JUSTIN I LOVE YOU.” He looked back at me, smiled them blew me a kiss. I seriously thought I died. Walking back to the line I cried. After that I got back in line with my Mom and we waited and waited and waited. Finally they gave out wristbands to people who could make it into the show and I got one! We were so close! It was so great. Justin even told us he had a surprise for us! The surprise was USHER! It was so fun to hear them warm up a little bit! Keep chasing your dreams because my dream finally came true! NEVER SAY NEVER! I will always stay a Belieber! Justin I love you so much. – Maggie (xomaggiexo12) Read more: My name is Maggie! In my life I have always read the MBE’s…

Red Hot Chili Peppers Reveal Origins Of ‘Rain Dance Maggie’

New single started life as an hour-long jam session, Anthony Kiedis tells MTV News. By James Montgomery Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis Photo: MTV News On Friday, the Red Hot Chili Peppers officially ended their hiatus with the premiere of “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie,” the first single from their upcoming I’m With You album. About a month before the premiere of “Maggie,” MTV News sat down with RHCP’s Anthony Kiedis and Josh Klinghoffer in Venice, California, to talk about the band’s new album (and the lengthy break that preceded it). We’ll be rolling out more of the interview as we get closer to I’m With You ‘s August 30 release date, but we’ve already given fans a taste of what they can expect, when Kiedis and Klinghoffer explained the genesis of the album’s title. And now, with “Maggie” officially out of the box, we figured it would be time to pull the curtain back on a second portion of the chat, in which Kiedis revealed the origins of the song itself — origins that began with an hour-long jam session and exactly one classic bass line. “When I first heard [‘Maggie’], I didn’t know it would be a single. [But] I knew that I loved the jam, ” Kiedis explained. “My first recording of that, I don’t think it had many vocals on it. It was kind of mostly instrumental, about an hour long. Flea brought it in as a very specific exercise to write a classic bass line. He woke up, had his tea, sat down: ‘I’m going to write a classic bass line. You can’t stop me.’ Played his bass line until he felt it was cooked into a classic, brought it to us and said, ‘This is Classic Number One.’ On a good day, you just know if there’s music to wrestle with and get with, and it was one of those moments.” So Kiedis sat down and listened to the track and was immediately struck by the propulsive groove Flea had laid down. And things just took off from there, with Klinghoffer adding a winging guitar line and drummer Chad Smith providing a loose, limber backbeat. But even if things were taking shape, Kiedis said he never thought “Maggie” would be anything more than a B-side. If that. “I took it home and it felt so fun to listen to at length that I literally left it on in my driveway, opened the door and danced with the tree next to me for quite a while,” he said. “I had no idea that it would even be a song, I just thought, ‘Oh, this is a great dance track. Let’s put it on as a B-side, [an] hour long.’ And then, as fate would have it, people heard it, and they were like, ‘Oh, that’s your best thing right there. That’s your best thing.’ ” And so, eventually, “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie” made the leap from jam to official first single. And now that it’s out there, Kiedis knows he’s going asked plenty of times just who this Maggie is. Unfortunately, he’s not about to reveal his inspirations. “It’s just a collection of memories and people along the way that had maybe left my consciousness until I heard that music, and then they kind of came dancing back into my consciousness, and out the old pen onto the paper,” he smiled. “Names have been changed to protect the innocent. Although there is a Maggie, I realized later. There’s two Maggies, actually.” What do you think of the Chili Peppers’ new song? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Red Hot Chili Peppers
