SMH Detroit Mother Says Pastor Winans Refused To Dedicate Her Son Born Out Of Wedlock Famed pastor Marvin Winans is facing backlash in his community after one woman says he refused to dedicate her son at their church because he was born out of wedlock. via MyFox Detroit -Charity Grace lives on the east side of the city with her 2-year-old son, Joshua. The two recently started to attend Perfecting Church under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Winans. On Sunday, a special blessing is planned at the church on East Nevada Street. They are having a dedication service for children two years old and under. Grace was looking forward to having her only child receive this blessing. “I want to instill values and morals in my son based upon the word of God,” said Grace. She called the church on Tuesday to make arrangements. “I told them I was not married and that’s where everything just broke loose.” Grace says she spoke with a woman who told her Pastor Winans’ policy is that he is not to bless children of unwed mothers in front of his congregation. “I’ve never felt so degraded and disrespected in my life,” said Grace. Watch out Bey, you’re not the only one performing during the Super Bowl … weekend. Via NewsOne : R&B songstress Fantasia Barrino (pictured) will be headlining the much-anticipated Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, which takes place at the University of New Orleans Lakefront Arena on Friday, February 1 during Super Bowl week. The actual game is being played at the New Orleans Superdome on Feb. 3, with Beyoncé featured as the halftime performer. The event will be hosted by ABC’s “The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd and one of gospel music’s finest singer/writer/producers Kirk Franklin. Some of gospel’s crème de la crème will also be on hand to perform at the 14th annual musicfest. Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Winans and Bishop Paul S. Morton of New Orleans are slated to perform. There will also be a performance by this year’s NFL “Players’ Choice” hip-hop Christian artist Lecrae, as well as the NFL Players Choir, composed of about 40 current and former players. The choir was formed by Christian NFL players who wanted to share their belief in God and inspire others through music. Founded by Melanie Few-Harrison, president of Results Marketing & Media, Inc., the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration got its start back in 1999 in Miami during Super Bowl XXXIII weekend. In 2002, the event became the first–and remains the only–gospel event sanctioned by the NFL. To date, the event has drawn immense crowds and attendance levels continue to peak each year. Tameka may of had a point, Usher sure does like those “Lil Freaks” Usher fears he has been too “experimental” in his romantic relationships.The singer is currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife Tameka Foster, who this week claimed he cheated on her with a woman who had been a bridesmaid at their wedding: Usher has spoken philosophically about romance, claiming his protégé Justin Bieber is actually better at them than he is. “Well, check it out, it the area of relationships, he’s actually done a lot better than I did,” Usher told Q magazine. “He doesn’t have as many issues. He knows what he wants. What were my issues? Well maybe not locking into one relationship! I was a little bit more? experimental. I’ve had many women. And I understand how to deal with a lot of different ones? But it is complicated when your reality is a fantasy. Fame is the modern double-edged sword.” The 33-year-old thinks many men make the mistake of thinking all women are the same. He understands that isn’t the case and has also realised what they find sexy in a man. “There’s a lot of them,” he laughed, when asked what he has learnt about females. Po’ Pastor Marvin Winans Is Wanted By One-Time For Driving Without A Valid License After Getting Carjacked By Detroit Goons

Hasn’t this man been through enough? Prominent Detroit clergyman and chart-topping gospel singing star Marvin Winans was driving without a valid license when he was beaten, robbed and carjacked last week, according to state records. Winans, who has been ticketed at least 15 times since 2005 — once for driving 95 m.p.h. — was caught speeding and driving without a license in Hazel Park in December, Michigan Secretary of State records show. After he paid a fee to Lansing, his license was reinstated for several months but suspended again May 9 because he never settled the violations at Hazel Park District Court, the records show. If he appears to pay those tickets — one for impeding traffic as well as for driving without a license — Hazel Park will let bygones be bygones, City Manager Ed Klobucher said. We’re going to treat the pastor just like we treat anybody else and afford him the opportunity to come in and get his tickets paid,” Klobucher said today. Klobucher said he was surprised to learn of the pastor’s outstanding violations. “Somebody showed me his tickets and said, ‘You know what? This guy shouldn’t have been driving anyway’ ” when he was carjacked, he said. We just hope people and police realize the real CRIMINALS are the ones that need to get locked up for trying to murk Marvin over his whip and not the pastor SMH
