For some unfathomable reason, Chris Brown still has a career. Bizarre, right? Yes, he's talented at singing and dancing and all that, but he's also The Worst . But still, people allow him to record and release music, and so here we are. Last night, Chris gave us this new jam called “Privacy,” and it's … well, it sure is something. The lyrics are remarkably suggestive. Or not “suggestive” so much as “explicitly sexual.” But it gets worse — with the story Chris weaves in this song, a lot of people are assuming that it's about Rihanna and their supposedly rekindled relationship . “Know my lovin' don't change,” he sings at one point. “I don't really give a f-ck what a hater say.” Get it, because we've heard that Rihanna's friends (and also the rest of the whole entire world) are urging her to stay away from him ? Perhaps we're all the “haters” in question. Then, at the end of the song, Chris horrifyingly raps “Stop runnin' from this dick, I ain't 'bout to let you slide this time.” That could easily be about Rihanna, who's slid away from him twice now. This is not a joke. Somehow, someway, this is really happening. Jon Gosselin is going to be a stripper. If you need to take a moment to clutch your pearls or take some calming breaths or to just laugh and laugh about how Kate Gosselin could possibly be reacting to this news, that’s fine. Take your time. OK, now let’s get into the details. On April 1st, in Dusk Nightclub in Atlantic City, Jon will get on stage and strip down in a show called Untamed Male Revue. And we know all that because of this handy little poster he’s been sharing on Twitter: And we know, we know, all this is supposed to go down on April Fool’s Day. But, fittingly enough , April Fool’s Day is also Jon’s birthday — his 40th birthday, to be exact. So maybe he’s just choosing to celebrate his special day in a special way. It’s possible. Sources tell TMZ that Jon is actually friends with the people running the show, which is how he got involved . And, fortunately (or unfortunately? Depends on what you’re into, we guess), Jon won’t be getting totally nude on stage. He’ll be leaving his underwear on. Sources also said that Jon’s show will be more of a Magic Mike type of show, which apparently means more dancing and less “hump your face” action. Small miracles. In the weeks leading up to the show, he’s been doing a lot of rehearsing, and he’s even been working out, trying to get that old bod of his into decent shape for his big day. But while there’s all this information circulating about, and while people are insisting it’s not a joke, it seems important to note that in his Twitter post promoting the event, he wrote “Check it out, my big debut … ?” Not the most confident announcement ever, right? So there’s a chance that it still could be a joke, or maybe Jon is just doing another DJ gig for the real strippers to get down to. Or maybe all of our dreams/nightmares are coming true, and Jon Gosselin really is becoming a stripper. What a world. What. A. World.
There’s officially a new member of the One Direction Dads’ Club! Liam Payne took to Instagram moments ago to confirm that he and girlfriend Cheryl Cole have welcomed a baby boy. It’s the first child for both. Payne confirmed the news by posting the photo above along with a heartfelt message praising his loved ones and fans for their continued support: “My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless… wow! “I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far. “I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true. He added that the child does not yet have a name, writing: “We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed.” Cole posted the same photo to her own social media accounts along with the following caption: “On Wednesday, 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. “Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival.” She added: “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever.” Yes, tomorrow is Mother’s Day in the UK, and little As-Yet-Unnamed arrived just in time the make the occasion all the more special to Cheryl. The early days of their romance were marred by controversy, as it was widely rumored that Cole had left her husband for Payne, who’s ten years her junior. It may seem difficult to believe, but it’s been three months now since Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds died. Absolutely heartbreaking, right? On December 23rd, Carrie was on a flight to L.A. when she suffered a massive heart attack. When paramedics were able to get to her on the airport, she was unresponsive. She remained in the hospital for a few days, but on December 27th, she passed away . The very next day, Carrie’s mother, the legendary Debbie Reynolds, died after suffering a stroke . Intense, right? And so very, very heartbreaking. Carrie and Debbie had a joint funeral in January for family and friends: Carrie was cremated with her ashes placed in an urn shaped like a Prozac pill , and Debbie was buried along with some of Carrie’s ashes. But today, a public memorial was held for them both at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in L.A. And it was so, so touching. The event was organized by Todd Fisher, Carrie’s brother and Debbie’s son. In a speech to the audience, Todd explained that “When Carrie died, my mother decided to change her plans a bit.” “My mother always said to me, ‘I never want to go to my daughter’s funeral service. I would like to be buried with Carrie.'” “I didn’t know she was going to leave us the very next day,” he said, “and when she looked at me to ask permission to leave, she said she wanted to be with Carrie, and she closed her eyes and went to sleep.” “It was a beautiful exit.” The service featured music composed by John Williams, as well as performances by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and dancers from Debbie Reynolds’ dance studio. Dan Aykroyd, Carrie’d one-time fiancé, provided the closing remarks. James Blunt wrote a song for the occasion — he was a close friend of Carrie’s, close enough that he chose her to be the godmother of his child. In an earlier interview, Todd said that “The last lyric in the song, it’s a beautiful song, is ‘I’m here to let you know. I’m here to let you go.'” “And it’s powerful.” Todd’s also explained that he wanted to hold a special service for the public because “That’s how my mother would want it.” He explained that “She was very connected to her fans and felt they were part of her, so we’re opening it to the public.” After the memorial service, fans were able to visit Debbie and Carrie’s graves. New York Vandals Target The Gravesites Of Black War Veterans Vandals who desecrated the grave-sites of African American veterans have yet to be caught according to New York CBS Local : As CBS2’s Lou Young reported, the gravesites of veterans in the African-American section of Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye were vandalized over Memorial Day weekend. Flags were stolen and a stone was knocked over. The historic cemetery is no stranger to vandalism. There have been broken monuments and toppled tombstones before. “To have this happen to these veterans is just unconscionable,” said David Thomas of the Friends of the African-American Cemetery. American flags placed on the graves of African-Americans who served in four wars were stolen last Friday as Memorial Day approached. It happened in an old segregated burial ground – a resting place for 379 New Yorkers of color. Among them are 35 veterans of the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, World War I, and World War II. It was a careful sacrilege that in many ways was more chilling than previous intrusions at the cemetery. People ain’t isht!!!!!
