Unexpected couple alert! Rosie O’Donnell split from wife Michelle Rounds back in February, and in the months since, things have not been going so well for the outspoken media personality. Rosie’s return to The View was a short-lived disaster. Her 17-year-old daughter went missing last month. It later turned out she was in the company of a much older heroin dealer, and she’s since chosen to live with her biological mother . Fortunately, several media outlets are reporting that there is a bright spot in Rosie’s life these days: Actress Tatum O’Neal came out as bisexual back in May, and she and O’Donnell have reportedly been dating for two months. The Daily Mail reports that O’Neal has been flying in from LA several times a month in order to spend time with O’Donnell in New York. The couple was recently spotted in Manhattan enjoying dinner and a Broadway play. Sources say they then spent the weekend at Rosie’s secluded home in Nyack, New York. O’Neal was married to volatile tennis champ John McEnroe for eight years, but revealed in a recent interview that she “primarily” dates women these days. Rosie O’Donnell has been forced to delay her wedding to Michelle Rounds, for a terribly sad reason: Rounds has been diagnosed with aggressive fibromatoses, a rare onset of desmoid tumors that first cropped up on Mother’s Day when she awoke with “pain that [wouldn’t] let up,” according to Rosie’s new blog entry . It took awhile for doctors to determine her loved one’s ailment, O’Donnell added, writing of how the couple felt at the time: “We wander thru the maze of medical mystery confused – scared . . .undiagnosed – again and again, her pain grew worse. It seemed impossible no one knew what was wrong.” Finally, the proper diagnosis was made – there are only 900 new cases of the disease each year in the U.S. – and Rounds underwent surgery in June. Rosie says she’s “getting stronger every day.” The couple, who got engaged in December , will now get married next summer. In lieu of gifts, they ask for donations to be made to the Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation.

Rosie O’Donnell will soon premiere a new talk show, but she’s even more excited about the new woman in her life. “I did not expect it when I met her at Starbucks,” O’Donnell tells People of Michelle Rounds , who she started dating a few months ago. “She didn’t look like any lesbian I’d ever met. But it’s fun and very exciting.” O’Donnell, whose The Rosie Show debuts on OWN on October 10, says she’s “in menopause” and has been having “really bad hot flashes,” but her therapist gave her another explanation recently for the heat: “[It’s] because you’re also in love.” Awww, that’s sweet.
