Kristen Stewart Donates $500K to Charity, May Be Losing Her Hair

Kristen Stewart is single and recently mingled… with a Middle Eastern Prince. For a cool $500,000. Reports are just coming out now of a meeting the actress had with an identified member of royalty in December. He was so enamored by the former Twilight Saga star that he shelled out half a million dollars for a 15-minute rendezvous, which translates to $33,333 per minute of face time with Stewart. Lest you think K. Stew is money hungry, however, consider: she donated the money to charity. Yes, all of it. Kristen Stewart Meets Prince, Earns $500,000 for Charity But should Kristen have saved some cash for a wig? Friends are concerned that the beauty is so stressed out over Robert Pattinson that she’s actually losing her hair. The Daily Mail has posted unflattering photos of Stewart that seem to depict dramatic hair loss along the right side of her head. “Kristen’s circle are so concerned about her that two of her friends have flown to Germany to see her,” an insider tells Now magazine. Those close to the actress allegedly want to take her to a “de-stressing Yoga retreat” because she is not holding up well without Pattinson in her life. Kristen is really missing Rob and her pals are trying to help. “They’ve begged Rob to visit her on set. They fear the stress is getting worse because she’s been trying to make contact with him and he’s ignoring all of her calls.” Stewart is in Berlin shooting the new movie Sils Maria opposite co-star Juliette Binoche.

Sacha Baron Cohen Oscar Stunt: Denied by The Academy

Sacha Baron Cohen not been banned from The Academy Awards. Not yet at least. But the actor is in hot water with the organization because he wants to walk the red carpet dressed as the main character from The Dictator , a Middle Eastern leader named General Aladeen. The Academy is less than enthused over this plan. “We would hope that every studio knows that this is a bad idea,” a spokesperson told Deadline . “The red carpet is not about stunting.” The Dictator Trailer Still, Cohen – who stars in Hugo , a Best Picture nominee – is still invited to the ceremony… for now. An insider does conform however, that his tickets will be rescinded if he goes through with the stunt. What do you think? Should the Oscars remain pure, traditional and promotion-free? Or is still stale, ratings-declining ceremony in need of someone like Cohen to spice the show up?

Dirty Dog Diaries: 65-Year-Old Former President Of Israel Convicted On Two Counts Of Raping A Former Employee

Let us all find solace in knowing that our American politicians aren’t the only ones out there doing foul sh*t and trying to sweep it under the rug. After a four year investigation that caused him to resign two weeks before his seven year term was over, former Israeli president Moshe Katsav has officially been found guilty of rape. Former Israel President Moshe Katsav was convicted Thursday of raping an employee when he was a Cabinet minister, the most serious criminal charges ever brought against a high-ranking official and a case that stunned the nation. Katsav, 65, faces a minimum of four years in prison on two counts of raping one of his employees in 1998 when he was Israel’s tourism minister. The Tel Aviv District Court also convicted him on lesser counts of indecent acts and sexual harassment involving two other women who worked for him after he became president in 2000. Katsav has denied the charges. He claimed to be a victim of a political witchhunt, suggesting he was targeted because he comes from Israel’s Sephardic community. Sephardic Jews, of Middle Eastern origin, were for decades an underclass in Israeli society. Katsav was born in Iran and immigrated to Israel as a child. The verdict caps a four-and-a-half year saga that shocked Israelis, both with its lurid details and bizarre twists and turns. Katsav resigned in 2007, two weeks before his seven-year term expired, under a plea bargain that would have required him to admit to lesser charges of sexual misconduct. He was replaced by elder statesman and Nobel peace laureate Shimon Peres. Although the post in Israel is largely ceremonial, the president is head of state, representing the country at ceremonies around the world. But in a dramatic reversal in April 2009, Katsav rejected the deal and said he wanted to clear his name in court. Around that time, he held a news conference in which he lashed out at prosecutors and denied any wrongdoing. His behavior, in which he shook in anger and screamed at reporters in the room, was widely criticized. Whatever you do, DON’T call them Jihadis

Counterterror Adviser Defends Jihad as 'Legitimate Tenet of Islam' The president's top counterterrorism adviser on Wednesday called jihad a “legitimate tenet of Islam,” arguing that the term “jihadists” should not be used to describe America's enemies. During a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, John Brennan described violent extremists as victims of “political, economic and social forces,” but said that those plotting attacks on the United States should not be described in “religious terms.” He repeated the administration argument that the enemy is not “terrorism,” because terrorism is a “tactic,” and not terror, because terror is a “state of mind” — though Brennan's title, deputy national security adviser for counterterrorism and homeland security, includes the word “terrorism” in it. But then Brennan said that the word “jihad” should not be applied either. “Nor do we describe our enemy as 'jihadists' or 'Islamists' because jihad is a holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam, meaning to purify oneself or one's community, and there is nothing holy or legitimate or Islamic about murdering innocent men, women and children,” Brennan said. The technical, broadest definition of jihad is a “struggle” in the name of Islam and the term does not connote “holy war” for all Muslims. However, jihad frequently connotes images of military combat or warfare, and some of the world's most wanted terrorists including Usama bin Laden commonly use the word to call for war against the West. Brennan defined the enemy as members of bin Laden's Al Qaeda network and “its terrorist affiliates.” But Brennan argued that it would be “counterproductive” for the United States to use the term, as it would “play into the false perception” that the “murderers” leading war against the West are doing so in the name of a “holy cause.” “Moreover, describing our enemy in religious terms would lend credence to the lie propagated by Al Qaeda and its affiliates to justify terrorism — that the United States is somehow at war against Islam,” he said. The comment comes after Brennan, in a February speech in which he described his respect for the tolerance and devotion of Middle Eastern nations, referred to Jerusalem on first reference by its Arabic name, Al-Quds. “In all my travels the city I have come to love most is al-Quds, Jerusalem, where three great faiths come together,” Brennan said at an event co-sponsored by the White House Office of Public Engagement and the Islamic Center at New York University and the Islamic Law Students Association at NYU. “My name is Raymond J. Johnson, Jr. Now you can call me Ray, or you can call me J, or you can call me Johnny, or you can call me Sonny, or you can call me Junie, or you can call me Ray J, or you can call me RJ, or you can call me RJJ, or you can call me RJJ Jr…. but you doesn't hasta call me Mr. Johnson!” added by: curtisreed

Hey, woman said she needs parenting help as it is … Kate typically dances very low … to the ground, and in terms of scoring . “We can split them all between the cast and they’re going to visit each other every two days,” Anna joked of the little soon to be reloaded Kate Plus 8 starlets. Last month, a source said Kate has been “moping” since leaving the show: “Kate misses the media coverage,” the source said. “She got used to the publicity.” But now Gosselin’s back in the limelight, at least for the short term, as Entertainment Tonight ‘s special correspondent for DWTS, Monday through Wednesday.
