Michael Jackson’s Daughter Is Standing By Her Father, Despite Allegations

“L eaving Neverland ” premiered Sunday and Monday on HBO. The documentary about child abuse allegations against Michael Jackson has caused many people to question the future of the King of Pop’s legacy. However, Paris Jackson , 20, is standing by her dad. See Also:  ‘I Thought It Was A Hoax’: Sparkle Talks R. Kelly’s Marriage To Aaliyah Paris Jackson said she he has not seen the documentary and “was not offered the chance to see it before it premiered at Sundance,” TMZ reported. Nonetheless, she “firmly believes” Michael Jackson was not a pedophile. In 1993, Michael Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy. In January of 1994, he reportedly settled for $23 million. The accuser’s father committed suicide in 2009, five months after the singer died. Jordan Chandler reportedly has never come forward about the allegations and supposedly lives outside of the country. In 2017, when Wade Robson, a choreographer who is featured in “Leaving Neverland,” accused Michael Jackson of sexual assault—even though he’d said in the past the singer didn’t assault him—there was a hunt to find Chandler. According to The Daily Mail , he left the U.S. to avoid investigators. In 2003, Michael Jackson was charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent to a 13-year-old boy. He was ultimately acquitted of all charges. Robson testified at the 2003 trial, but James Safechuck , the other person featured in “Leaving Neverland,” did not. Many people have been saying the documentary is untrue, including Brett Barnes , who said he knew Michael Jackson when he was child. According to TMZ , the film “implies Jackson molested him as a boy. As for why Barnes thinks this … Wade Robson — one of the singer’s well-known alleged victims — claims in the doc, Barnes ‘replaced him.’ The film then shows Michael and Brett together on tour. Thus, the insinuation.” Barnes has threatened HBO with a lawsuit “claiming the documentary puts him in a false light and subjects him to ‘hatred, contempt and ridicule.’ Presumably, the lawyer is saying MJ supporters will target Barnes as a result of the documentary.” Barnes testified at Michael Jackson’s criminal trial in 2005 and said he was never assaulted by him. He also tweeted this in January. Not only do we have to deal with these lies, but we’ve also got to deal with people perpetuating these lies. The fact that they fail to do the small amount of research it takes to prove these are lies, by choice or not, makes it even worse. — Brett Barnes (@IAmBrettBarnes) January 30, 2019 Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges. Michael Jackson’s Family Suing HBO Over Child Molestation Claims

A new documentary about the alleged sex crimes Michael Jackson made its debut at the Sundance film festival last month. With a runtime of over four hours, Leaving Neverland was only screened once, but despite its small audience, the film quickly became the talk of the festival. Neverland is set to make its broadcast debut on HBO in March, and according to a new report from TMZ, Jackson’s family is doing everything in its power to prevent that from happening. According to court papers obtained by the site, the Jacksons — who have already compared the film to ” a public lynching ” — have filed a $100 million suit against the network. Such a move is not uncommon in cases where a piece of journalism threatens major damage to the reputation of a rich and powerful person — even when that person is no longer living. What’s unusual in this case is that the Jacksons may have a valid case. TMZ reports that the family’s attorneys are not disputing the claims made in the documentary. Rather, they’re arguing that HBO relinquished its right to disparage Jackson in any way when it reached an agreement with the singer nearly 27 years ago. Back in 1992, HBO aired a concert special entitled Michael Jackson Live in Concert in Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour. Jackson’s contract at the time required all major media partners to sign a very specific non-disparagement agreement. “HBO shall not make any disparaging remarks concerning Performer or any of his representatives, agents, or business practices or do any act that may harm or disparage or cause to lower in esteem the reputation or public image of performer,” reads a document reportedly signed by HBO execs. HBO’s lawyers will likely argue that the contract is voided by the fact that Jackson is dead and HBO is a radically different network now than it was in 1992. But no doubt the Jacksons have hired a legal dream team, and if there’s no expiration date on the contract, then they may succeed in burying Leaving Neverland — for now. Unfortunately for the Jackson estate, this is 2019 — an era with a virtually infinite number of media outlets. Which means the film is sure to find an audience one way or another. “Leaving Neverland” Director Speaks On Graphic Content & Michael Jackson’s Death

The rest is here:

Some say let the dead rest. Others say that truth will always come to the light. What do you think? Via | HotNewHipHop The disturbing details were essential, according to Dan Reed. Leaving Neverland ‘s  first trailer  dropped earlier this week reviving questions about its filmmaker’s intentions. The documentary’s director, Dan Reed, recently gave an  interview  in anticipation of these concerns. He discussed the impact of Michael Jackson’s death on the film and explained why the inclusion of graphic details was essential to the narrative.”It may have been more difficult to make if he were alive today,” Reed stated. “People are still very much afraid of Jackson and his lawyers. As I went around speaking to people who were associated with the investigations, they were afraid of Jackson’s people’s ability to shut down a lot of the victims. They employ unscrupulous PIs, and are very litigious. The power of his machine is very terrifying.” READ MORE

Kailyn Lowry Thinks Jenelle Evans Needs to "Clean Up Her Act"

This NOT exactly just in: Kailyn Lowry and Jenelle Evans do not get along. The Teen Mom OG stars actually were kind of close at one point, but then Jenelle went behind Kailyn's back to tell the world Lowry was pregnant with her third child… … and then Jenelle's mom threatened to murder Lowry … … and, well, the relationship has been colder than Buffalo in January ever since. Where do things stand at the moment? When was the last time Kailyn tried to speak with Evans? Lowry talked with Hollywood Life this week about the (non) relationship, bringings fans up to speed on the vicious feud and revealing a few surprising tidbits. Scroll down for an update: 1. Wait, These Two Were Actually Friends? Yes. This photo was snapped in 2013, so we need to go back many years if we’re talking about a real friendship. 2. Where Did It All Go Wrong? The feud slowly but surely escalated. Eventually, Evans told the world that Kailyn was pregnant with child number-three before Lowry was ready for the world to know — and then things really spiraled. 3. How Bad Have Things Gotten? Gosh. We don’t have time to cycle through all the incidents, but Evans and her horrible husband, David Eason, filmed themselves burning items from Kailyn’s clothing collection last year after Lowry sent them as a peace offering. 4. Wait, WHAT? “Hey Kail,” Evans said in an Instagram video from late December. “This is to your peace offering.” She then proceeded to douse the pieces of attire in gasoline and take a blowtorch to them. 5. So… the Feud is Lit? Yes, literally. This is what Evans said while she set fire to Lowry’s gift: “Kail Lowry , for years you’ve been super jealous and envious of all us girls on the show. You try to make your way into the group, then turn into a mean ass person when it came down to me. You apologize on/off, claim I need to be apologizing sometimes, then talk s–t constantly about me and my husband to the tabloids?! THEN you had the balls to send me a PEACE GATHERING GIFT?! Don’t send me gifts and then go talk s–t AGAIN!!! Wow, you’re an idiot cuz this is what I do for gifts sent from fake ass bitches like you. Stay our of my life, go worry about your own.” 6. Really. This Happened. The video is posted right above for your perusal. It’s just as crazy as it sounds. View Slideshow

Farrah Abraham Finishes Community Service, Might Still Go to Jail!

Reality TV villain Farrah Abraham’s bad behavior on television has made her a wealthy, famous woman. Her bad behavior in real life, on the other hand, nearly put her behind bars. She’s now weaseled out of some of the trouble she was in by completing anger management. Is Farrah a better person now? RadarOnline spoke to Los Angeles County D.A. spokesperson Ricardo Santiago. “The restitution hearing was taken off calendar without prejudice,” Santiago shares. “And,” he continues. “The defendant, through her attorney, submitted proof of completion of 50 hours of Community Service and Anger Management.” The image of Farrah Abraham doing community service is admittedly very funny. Farrah in court-ordered anger management could almost be its own TV series. However, Farrah’s not entirely in the clear. Not yet. “The only thing that remains,” Santiago notes. “Is the payment of fines and fees.” Farrah, at least, can afford it. Last year, Farrah pleaded guilty to resisting, obstructing, or delaying an officer. As part of the deal that she had struck, her charge of battery was dismissed. Hilariously, she was also very specifically ordered to avoid the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge. It was that lounge where Farrah allegedly became violent. Elisabeth Albanese of the Beverly Hills Police Department described the situation to RadarOnline at the time. “Officers noted that Abraham exhibited signs of intoxication during the investigation,” Albanese shared. To be fair, Farrah does not have to drink in order to become belligerent and for her words to make no sense. “A male adult hotel security officer reported that he asked Abraham to leave the hotel,” Albanese explained. This was only “after she refused to disengage from a verbal altercation with hotel guests.” “The security officer reported that Abraham struck him in the face with her forearm, grabbed his ear, and pushed him in the face,” Albanese added. All of this happened “as he attempted to prevent her from re-entering the hotel.” Wow . We admit that we were mostly joking when we rhetorically asked if Farrah is now a good person. It’s true that anger management therapy can help people to assess their own behavior and make changes. But first of all, it doesn’t undo who you are as a person, let alone magically erase your past misdeeds. Second of all, and more importantly, you have to actually want to change and improve yourself. As far as Farrah is concerned, she’s always right, everyone else is merely out to get her, and she doesn’t need to change. Why mess with “perfection,” right? Farrah appears to have deeply rooted personality issues. A mandatory course of anger management coupled with some community service isn’t enough to address the problem. We can easily imagine her grumbling under her breath and putting on that angry-fake-smile when someone is looking at her. Remember, this is a woman who went on television, was told that her test came back positive, and insisted that it must be fake. Even when the hosts attempted to humor her by saying “well maybe it’s a false positive,” she wouldn’t let it go. She wanted to know why the test produced a “false” positive. She was demanding that people not just humor her, but actively defend her. So, we don’t expect Farrah so suddenly become a good or calm person. Honestly, that would be a death sentence for her career as a reality star. Her whole brand is that she’s the worst. However, we hope that she at least learned her lesson. Physical violence is just … not okay. Not okay with reality TV castmates, and not okay with security guards who are just doing their jobs.
