Michael Jackson’s Daughter Is Standing By Her Father, Despite Allegations

“L eaving Neverland ” premiered Sunday and Monday on HBO. The documentary about child abuse allegations against Michael Jackson has caused many people to question the future of the King of Pop’s legacy. However, Paris Jackson , 20, is standing by her dad. See Also:  ‘I Thought It Was A Hoax’: Sparkle Talks R. Kelly’s Marriage To Aaliyah Paris Jackson said she he has not seen the documentary and “was not offered the chance to see it before it premiered at Sundance,” TMZ reported. Nonetheless, she “firmly believes” Michael Jackson was not a pedophile. In 1993, Michael Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy. In January of 1994, he reportedly settled for $23 million. The accuser’s father committed suicide in 2009, five months after the singer died. Jordan Chandler reportedly has never come forward about the allegations and supposedly lives outside of the country. In 2017, when Wade Robson, a choreographer who is featured in “Leaving Neverland,” accused Michael Jackson of sexual assault—even though he’d said in the past the singer didn’t assault him—there was a hunt to find Chandler. According to The Daily Mail , he left the U.S. to avoid investigators. In 2003, Michael Jackson was charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent to a 13-year-old boy. He was ultimately acquitted of all charges. Robson testified at the 2003 trial, but James Safechuck , the other person featured in “Leaving Neverland,” did not. Many people have been saying the documentary is untrue, including Brett Barnes , who said he knew Michael Jackson when he was child. According to TMZ , the film “implies Jackson molested him as a boy. As for why Barnes thinks this … Wade Robson — one of the singer’s well-known alleged victims — claims in the doc, Barnes ‘replaced him.’ The film then shows Michael and Brett together on tour. Thus, the insinuation.” Barnes has threatened HBO with a lawsuit “claiming the documentary puts him in a false light and subjects him to ‘hatred, contempt and ridicule.’ Presumably, the lawyer is saying MJ supporters will target Barnes as a result of the documentary.” Barnes testified at Michael Jackson’s criminal trial in 2005 and said he was never assaulted by him. He also tweeted this in January. Not only do we have to deal with these lies, but we’ve also got to deal with people perpetuating these lies. The fact that they fail to do the small amount of research it takes to prove these are lies, by choice or not, makes it even worse. — Brett Barnes (@IAmBrettBarnes) January 30, 2019 Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges. Kylie Jenner & Tyga: Fighting For Their Own Reality Show?!

If you follow Kylie Jenner on Instagram, you know that the 19-year-old reality star’s selfies have gotten progressively more revealing over the past two years. There are many theories as to why that might be: 1. Sex sells, and as a lip kit entrepreneur, Kylie has a lot of product to hustle. 2. Kylie is transforming into Kim Kardashian , which means she needs you to smash that like button every time she reminds the world she has an ass.  3. Tyga is Kylie’s Yoko Ono, and the two of them are planning to break away from the group that made her famous and do their own thing. Yes, rumors of a Kylie-Tyga reality show have been circulating for months, and now, insiders say the controversial couple is on the verge of sealing a deal for their own spinoff. “Kylie is sexing up her image with social media with one main intention,” a source close to the family tells Radar Online. “She’s prepping for her own show and firmly believes this is the way to make it happen.” So what’s the motivation behind this risky move? Well, there’s the money, of course. More cash for obscene displays of wealth and further cosmetic procedures is the unspoken driving force behind just about everything the Kard clan does. But at 19, Kylie already has more cash than her grandkids could spend, so it’s not surprising that her reasons go beyond the desire to add another 0 to her bank account: “The source says Kylie’s bid for her own series “the added bonus of knocking Kim off her pedestal,”  Those closest to the K-J clan say Kylie believes she’s more popular than her sisters , and based on her social media following, she may not be wrong. She reportedly feels the need to strike while the iron is hot, and obviously, the clearest path for her to reach the next level of fame is by launching her own foray into the medium that made her family famous. “She insists it’s the logical move and only right, since she has the largest fan following of the family,” says one source. No doubt she’s also motivated by the fact that her dude’s career is firmly in the gutter at the moment. View Slideshow: Kylie Jenner & Tyga Photos: The Way They Were … Are? (Who the Heck Knows) Tyga is reportedly bankrupt , and he hasn’t had a hit song in years. A reality show would allow Kylie to support her boyfriend without actually having to cut him checks.

Shady Instutuions: Banks Made Over $32 BILLION In Overdraft Fees Last Year!!!

Banks Made Over $32 BILLION In Overdraft Fees Last Year Yes, BILLION! According to NBC News: Bank customers may complain about hefty overdraft fees, but they’re using the service more and paying the price. A new report from Moebs Services, a respected economic research firm, shows overdraft revenue at banks, credit unions and thrift institutions totaled $32 billion last year. That’s an increase of $400 million or 1.3 percent from 2011. “Consumers use of overdrafts shows no indication of going away, and is actually increasing,” said Michael Moebs, who wrote the study. At the current rate of growth, Moebs predicts revenue from overdraft fees will hit a new record by the end of 2016, topping the old record of $37 billion set in 2009. The Moebs study found that about a quarter of the people with a consumer checking account – that’s 38 million people – frequently overdraft. The median overdraft is about $40. More than half of the customers who frequently overdraft – 57 percent or 20 million people – go to payday lenders when they are short on funds. Why? Because a payday loan is significantly cheaper. “Payday lenders are the low-price source for short-term cash needs,” Moebs said. “You can get a cash advance for $16 as opposed to $25 at a community bank, $27 a credit union and $30 at bank or thrift. Those are median prices.” While the cost of an overdrawn account has been going up at many financial institutions, the price of borrowing from a payday lender has dropped. The median charge for a $100 cash advance dropped $1.50 from 2011 to 2012, from $17.50 to $16. Moebs firmly believes many of the people who use a payday lender would rather not, if the cost of the overdraft penalty was more in line with what the payday stores charge. He puts that price point at $20. Debit-card transactions often cause an account to be overdrawn. Remember: Your bank or credit union will deny a point-of-purchase debit-card payment or cash withdrawal from an ATM if there is not enough money in the account to cover it, unless you “opt in” to their overdraft protection plan. In that case, the transaction will go through and you’ll get hit with a fee. A recent study by the Pew Charitable Trusts found that 54 percent of the customers who had overdrawn their accounts said they did not realize they had signed up for an overdraft service that cost money. Susan Weinstock, director of Pew’s Safe Checking in the Electronic Age Project, said this shows there is “a very high level of confusion” about how this overdraft protection works. Shady, shady, shady. SMH.

‘He’s not a reckless guy out there just wildin’ out,’ Cash Money CEO tells MTV News after Drizzy’s altercation with Chris Brown. By Rob Markman Birdman in Atlanta on Friday Photo: ATLANTA — No matter the drama, Cash Money CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams is riding with his artists. Never one to indulge in rap beef, on Friday (June 15) during an interview with MTV News, Stunna made it clear that he is in full support of Drake in the aftermath of Wednesday night’s brawl in a New York City nightclub that involved Chris Brown and members of their respective crews. “Well, to me, I think n—as got Drake twisted. A lot of n—as be playin’, pitty-pattin’ with Drake. I don’t like that sh–, period,” Birdman said to us in an exclusive interview. “Drake is one of us, so if you f—in’ with Drake, you f—in’ with us, period!” Birdman wasn’t in attendance when the fight broke out at W.I.P. in NYC, but firmly believes the Take Care MC did nothing wrong. Drake alleges he wasn’t involved in the melee, which left a number of people injured including one of Brown’s bodyguards and NBA player Tony Parker. “To me, Drizzy ain’t did nothin’ wrong, he ain’t done nothin’ wrong to nobody. He just doin’ great music,” Bird said in defense of his artist. “He’s not a reckless guy out there just wildin’ out; he’s a humble kid makin’ great music.” Drake Vows To Outdo Summer Jam At New York Show It’s no secret that the #1 Stunna is about his money, and to him, beef is bad for business. “We never been a brand to carry ourselves in any foul manner. None of us, none of the acts,” he said of his Cash Money roster. “We’ve been doin’ this, we want to do this for another 20 years.” Still, the CM CEO understands how quickly things can get out of hand. He recalls a time where shootings weren’t uncommon between warring factions but now sees those types of altercations as a thing of the past. “It’s a different era, and we don’t promote that, we’re not about that, but I think sometimes sh– get outta hand, and you just gotta be ready for it,” he said. “We did enough of that, so these n—as ain’t got to do it.” On Saturday (June 16), rumors of an imminent Drake arrest were circulating on the Net but an NYPD official confirmed to MTV News that were “no arrests” looming, adding that an “investigation is ongoing.” Related Artists Birdman Drake Chris Brown

Donny Goines Says New LP Shows His ‘Hunger And Drive’

Upcoming Success Served Cold features Bun B, Fred Da Godson, in Mixtape Daily. By Rob Markman Donny Goines Photo: MTV News Fire Starter : Donny Goines “If you don’t know my name, I’m not working hard enough.” That’s been Harlem rapper Donny Goines’ mantra since 2006, when he first decided to pick up a microphone. His inspiration, as with so many other up-and-coming MCs, came from Jay-Z. After watching his 2004 concert film Fade to Black (two years after it was initially released), he took on a reworked version of the name of famed novelist Donald Goines and hit the studio. It may have taken him some years to get here, especially considering the pace at which new-gen rappers release music online, but he insists that he is in it for the long haul. “In this day and age, music is so worthless; people make it worthless. The reason why I say that is because they’re so focused on the actual speed of getting music and they’re so focused on the microwave type of music, and I decided a long time ago that I will not do that anymore,” he told Mixtape Daily. “If you can’t wait for me and you can’t wait for my albums, then you’re not really, truly a fan.” After making a splash online in 2008 with his viral video freestyle series “BARS,” Donny went on to release digital projects such as Minute After Midnight, The Breakfast Club and last year’s 20X EP. His next album is the one that Goines firmly believes will launch him into the consciousness of rap fans across the globe. Success Served Cold will be offered as a free digital download and feature contributions from Bun B, Fred Da Godson, XV, Laws and producer Statik Selektah. The album blends two popular phrases: “Success is the best revenge” and “Revenge is a dish best served cold.” “This is like the precursor to my long-term career,” Goines said of the album, which will come in the fall. “I’ve worked my whole career to this album and that’s what makes it so special. It’s something that when people hear, they’re gonna understand the hunger and the drive and the determination.” Donny began working on Success Served Cold in late 2010, and he has even partnered up with mtvU to document a piece of his recording process. “I want to create classics,” he said before recalling how his favorite rappers used to release music. “I waited two years for a Nas album; I waited three years for a Biggie album. I waited for certain artists, and why should I be any different?” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines .

The Situation Returns to Jersey Shore House; Producers Threaten to Fire AWOL Stars

Vinny Guadagnino returned to Jersey Shore over the weekend, a little over a week after getting into an altercation with a cast member and bolting. Reports say The Situation, who walked off the set in a similar huff, is also back into the fold. But the network is far from pleased with their antics. MTV has instituted a “zero tolerance policy” for the Jersey Shore stars, threatening to fire any cast member who even thinks of going AWOL. TMZ says the network is serious this time. Walk off the show again and you’re fired, your contract will be terminated, period. No exceptions. With two cast members nearly jumping ship in the same week, MTV wants to reassert a degree of authority and show the cast who’s in charge. Of course, it’s an empty threat if they won’t back it up, or the cast doesn’t care. The Sitch firmly believes he doesn’t need the show anymore. For now, all is well in Seaside … but give it a few hours. [Photo: WENN.com]
