Tennessee Doctor “Borrows” $300,000 From Patient, Falsely Diagnoses Her With Dementia When She Asks For It Back

Doctor Accused of Swiping $300K From Patient Then Declaring Her Demented Joanne the Scammer would be proud. A Tennessee doctor has been found guilty of unethical conduct after doling out a fake diagnosis to avoid repaying a six-figure debt owed to one of her patients. According to HuffPost , 79-year-old Dr. Suellen Lee is accused of borrowing a “substantial sum of money,” noted by a government attorney to be somewhere around $300,000, from a patient in support of her medical clinic. However, when the patient asked for a return on her loan, Dr. Lee diagnosed her with dementia, without proper testing or a second opinion. Needless to say, the patient reported the incident and sued. Dr. Lee claims that the patient is lying, however defending herself against the allegation would be more financially costly in the long run. She claims the loan was made more than 20 years ago, and she has been paying back in installments since then. She says the patient set her up and is simply angry that she diagnosed her as demented. She agreed to retire and voluntarily gave up her medical license. Getty

Farrah Abraham: Plastic Surgeon Says NO To Butt Implants!

She said she'd slow down on cosmetic procedures, but Farrah Abraham isn't staying true to her word. The Teen Mom OG star recently went on The Doctors to try and get free plastic surgery inquire about butt implants . In particular, Abraham wanted to know about “Brazilian butt lift,” a procedure which takes fat from another part of the patient's body and injects it into their rear. “What can we do to get our butt to where we want it to be?” Abraham asked Dr. Andrew Ordon in his office. “It’s all about proportions,” Dr. Ordon told his patient. “And we know that you’re a curvy woman. Let me take a look and I’ll give you an honest opinion and we’ll talk about what our options are.” Dr. Ordon “examined” Abraham, and concluded that she doesn't need surgery. All that's required to get a well-proportioned, rounded-out butt are target exercises, he said. “You’ve always had a nice backside,” he told her. And I know that you do exercise to keep it in shape and my recommendation is you keep on doing what you’re doing and specifically come up with some exercises to target the upper part of the gluteal muscles. In fact, there isn't enough fat on Abraham's body to inject into her butt. Like that's going to stop her from getting butt implants. It's safe to assume that over 60% of Abraham's body is enhanced. Back in August, Abraham chatted about Abraham on the Allegedly podcast and admitted that she went overboard with plastic surgery .   “I took a chin implant out, I've dialed down on the injections because I thought it was too much,” Abraham said. “It was a lot of stuff, like whoa, plastic surgery turns out to be a lot more than you bargained for. “But I'm not addicted to anything.” No, of course you aren't! “The only things that I had to fix were breasts, because I was getting serious scarring,” she continued. “I felt like I was having a heart attack multiple nights in a row, so I had to change up my regimen.” The poor thing's face looks like it might melt if you get too close with a flame, and now she's jonesin' for a butt lift? Somebody give Abraham a hug.  I would, but I don't want to break her boobs.

“Wee-Wee” The Murderous Fake Booty Injection Dr. Arrested And Captured! [Video]

A Dallas woman has been arrested for allegedly administering to patients illegal cosmetic procedures – butt injections – without a medical license, according to police. Denise Rochelle Ross, known as “Wee Wee,” turned herself in to authorities Wednesday because she had been wanted for practicing medicine without a license, according to the Dallas Police Department. Her alleged accomplice, Jimmy Joe Clark, is still at large. Ross was being held on $50,000 bond, according to court records, and police did not know if she had yet entered a plea in the case. Leah Still’s Cancer In Remission, NFL Player Dad Says Brittany Maynard’s Family Releases New Video in Support of Right-to-Die Legislation According to the arrest affidavit, Ross, 43, allegedly made an appointment with a “patient” over the phone who agreed to pay $520 for her first butt injection session. At the appointment, Ross allegedly injected a substance into one buttock and Clark allegedly injected it into the other, but they were vague about what they were doing when they explained the procedure, the affidavit alleges. Ross allegedly said it was water-based liquid saline and then said it was Hydro Gel. The patient “felt intense pain and was told to be quiet after screaming in agony,” the affidavit says. Afterward, Ross and Clark allegedly closed the injection holes with super glue and cotton balls to keep any of the liquid from coming out. They gave the patient two tubes of the glue to take home. Dr. Scot Glasberg, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, said illegal cosmetic procedures are on the rise among people hoping for a Kim Kardashian rear end while looking to save money. They can be harmful because often they’re not done with medical-grade silicon, but rather with the type of silicon used in construction. The most common side effects of these underground procedures are pain from scar tissue and infection, but sometimes the patient experiences excessive bleeding or the injectable material travels through the blood stream to the lungs, he said. “If you walk into a garage or a basement or a dimly lit little room somewhere, your natural instinct should be to walk away, to run away,” Glasberg said. “The downside of a little saving on cost is, potentially, your life.” Attempts by ABC News to reach Ross’ family members were unsuccessful.

Ebola In America? NY Patient Being Tested For Virus, High Fever Upon Return From West Africa

This is some scary isht… Possible Case Of Ebola Hits The United States Ebola is making a resurgence in Liberia and throughout West Africa , but now an American traveler may have brought the virus back with him after a trip to an African nation experiencing an outbreak. Via MailOnline : New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital is treating a sick male patient who recently returned from a West African country where the Ebola virus has been reported. The patient arrived at the hospital’s emergency room early on Monday morning with ‘a high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms,’ according to a statement from the hospital. The patient has been isolated and is undergoing diagnostic testing for Ebola, but also for other illnesses that could cause his symptoms. ‘All necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of all patients, visitors and staff,’ the hospital said in a statement. ‘We will continue to work closely with federal, state and city health officials to address and monitor this case, keep the community informed and provide the best quality care to all of our patients.’ The Department of Health has since released a statement stating that the patient is unlikely to have the deadly disease. ‘After consultation with CDC and Mount Sinai, the Health Department has concluded that the patient is unlikely to have Ebola. Specimens are being tested for common causes of illness and to definitively exclude Ebola,’ read the statement. Hospital officials say they hope to have an answer in the next 24 to 48 hours, but they say the symptoms are common in other illnesses. They say it’s “unlikely…” but how comfortable does that make you??

SMH: 40-Year-Old Man Dies From Botched Blood Transfusion At Coney Island Hospital

Remind us never to go to Coney Island Hospital . Man Dies From Botched Blood Transfusion According to The NY Post There’s bad blood at Coney Island Hospital — and it’s deadly. A 40-year-old male patient died at the city-run hospital last week after receiving the wrong type blood during a transfusion, The Post has learned. Transfusions that don’t match a patient’s blood type — giving Type-A to a person who is Type-B, for example — causes the body to attack the new red blood cells, a violent and painful reaction that can lead to shock and a fatal kidney shutdown. “The blood was mislabeled in the lab. It wasn’t a nursing issue,” said one hospital professional who spoke yesterday on condition of anonymity. “It shouldn’t have happened. It’s just carelessness. “It’s a huge problem,” he added. A source said the fatal error occurred in the hospital’s sixth-floor lab, where blood drawn from patients is screened and “typed.” A technician labeled the patient’s blood as the wrong type, and the patient was given the wrong blood during a transfusion. Yesterday the lab was shuttered. Blood for Coney Island Hospital patients is now being typed by technicians at Kings County Hospital Center, with the results then phoned in to Coney Island. Coney Island continues to maintain its own stores of banked blood, and surgeries and ER treatment have not been curtailed. Still, emergency-surgery patients are for now all being given Type-O blood, because it can be used universally. “Our deepest condolences go out to the family . . . We are working with the state to resolve the situation as quickly as possible,” said Ian Michaels, spokesman for the city Health and Hospitals Corporation. We feel for his family. Doctor’s In Russia Have Good Bedside Manners of the Day

Apparently, this anesthesiologist from Russia was on a 36 hour shift. He was checking up on some post-surgery when this patient started running his mouth off. Instead of sucking it up and knocking the patient out with meds, you know “accidentally” giving him too much to survive, he punched the guy in the face and chest, which to me is better than killing him, but still funny, because doctors aren’t supposed to do that…not even in Russia, where the men are stronger and can handle this kind of thing…or not…because apparently the patient died after this….I guess punching someone in the chest right after bypass surgery isn’t good for them…

Dr. Oz Sued for Painful, Failed Insomnia Cure

A New Jersey resident named Frank Dietl has sued Dr. Oz because he claims an insomnia cure recommended by the talk show host left him with third-degree burns. The remedy – titled “knap-sack heated rice footsie” – was outlined by Oz on April 17, 2012. It asks the patient to fill a pair of socks with uncooked rice; heat them up via microwave; and then place said socks on one’s feet. Oz did warn viewers to be careful with the temperature of the socks, but Dietl claims they burned him nonetheless. According to The Associated Press, he has therefore filed a lawsuit Manhattan State Supreme Court. There’s been no response yet from anyone at The Dr. Oz Show . But Oz clearly has an effect on his viewers: Oprah’s good friend was recently named one of the year’s top 10 most influential celebrities by Forbes .
