The 2019 Teen Choice Awards gave us a look at two things on Sunday night: 1. What young men and women around the country think about the world of entertainment these days. 2. Chris Rock Plans To Resurrect The ‘Saw’ Franchise Alongside Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures

Continued here:

Source: Paul Marotta / Getty C hris Rock is the latest comedian looking to give a new perspective on horror as he’ll be executive producing and co-writing a script for a new S aw  movie. The actor and  Def Jam Comedy  alum will be teaming up with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures for a  Saw  film with a release date scheduled for October 23, 2020. “I’ve been a fan of  Saw  since the first film in 2004,” Rock tells Deadline . “I am excited by the opportunity to take this to a really intense and twisted new place.” Rock wrote the screenplay for the film, which will then be adapted by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. Rock will executive produce the film with Lionsgate. Joe Drake, Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group chairman, was ecstatic about the news for another  Saw  installment. “When Chris Rock came to us and described in chilling detail his fantastic vision that reimagines and spins off the world of the notorious Jigsaw Killer, we were all-in,” Drake said. “ Saw  is one of the highest-grossing horror franchises of all-time, and it’s one of Lionsgate’s most successful film series. This upcoming film will still be as mind-bending and intense as all the previous  Saw films.” There appears to be a trend of comedic minds using their ideas in a darker fashion. Current horror titan Jordan Peele has directed two of the highest grossing films in the genre, 2017 ‘s Get Out  and 2019’s  Us,  carving a new lane for directors of color in the genre. Rock looks to be the next name to try his hand with fear with a fresh twist to it. “Chris wants to put his own spin on the Saw  franchise in the way Eddie Murphy put a completely fresh perspective on buddy-cop films with  48 Hours,” longtime series producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules tells Deadline . “This new  Saw  is going to be an event film in the making for horror fans. It will have all of the twists and turns and hardcore layers that our fans expect directed by one of the masters of the craft, Darren Lynn Bousman. We can’t wait to get started.”

Yay Sports: Tiger Woods Won Masters And Made It Rain On Them Historical Hoes

Source: David Cannon / Getty Tiger Woods Wins Masters MAGA lover Tiger Woods has been to Hell and it appears that he is now back. The embattled golfer won the Masters yesterday in historic fashion and to say that the golf world is excited is gross understatement. After Tiger Woods won his first Masters in 1997, he embraced his father, Earl. 22 years later after winning his 5th Masters, he got to share that same moment with his own son, Charlie. pic.twitter.com/BqH1AyvM6A — ESPN (@espn) April 15, 2019 Tiger’s fifteenth major win and fifth Masters win also earned him a historic paycheck according to CNBC , $2.07 million, the most ever collected by a Masters winner. That $2.07 million ain’t s#!t compared to what he’s going to make (for himself and affiliated corporations) in the coming future as a result of this victory that many sports pundits NEVER thought would happen. Tiger Woods’ Masters victory left a lot of TV commentators looking foolish: “Tiger Woods will never win another major” https://t.co/NDcu5mYpSE pic.twitter.com/dIN4GuGGX7 — The Daily Beast (@thedailybeast) April 15, 2019 And of course, right on cue… Never stop chasing your crazy dream. #justdoit @TigerWoods pic.twitter.com/q9OV6oGLDN — Nike (@Nike) April 14, 2019 *cash register rings*

A “Lil Positivity”: LeBron James Named AP Male Athlete Of The Year

Source: Jim McIsaac / Getty LeBron James Named AP Male Athlete Of The Year 2018 marks the third time that LeBron James has been crowned “Male Athlete Of The Year” by the AP . This past year James made 8th consecutive trip to the NBA Finals, made business moves off the court producing content like The Shop for HBO, released his socio-political documentary about athletes, Shut Up And Dribble , on Showtime, and most importantly, saw the opening of the “I Promise” school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. For the third time, @KingJames is AP Male Athlete of the year as selected by AP members and editors. Even without a title, 2018 a big year as he opened his 'I Promise' school and furthered using his voice as an activist. @ByTimReynolds : https://t.co/ZgxGHAT3Qh pic.twitter.com/rNEOeDPmEW — AP Sports (@AP_Sports) December 27, 2018 “I would describe it as a success because I was able to inspire so many people throughout the year,” James said. “I got to go back to China, to Paris, to Berlin, I opened up a school. And all these kids I was able to see, all over the world and in my hometown, I was able to inspire, to make them think they can be so much more than what they think they’re capable of being. That was my outlook for 2018.” LeBron joins Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Lance Armstrong on a shortlist of men who have won the award at least three times with Woods and Armstrong winning four times each. Thank you “AP” for the award. Obviously this isn’t for me, it’s for all my @IPROMISESchool kids, kids all over the world and adults as well that allow me to talk for them, lead them, dream with them and inspire them every single day! THANK YOU #JamesGang https://t.co/xwfwZrNwGn — LeBron James (@KingJames) December 27, 2018 Humility, there’s something you don’t see much these days. Continue reading

Bankroll Challenge: Kylie Jenner Is Neck And Neck With Jay-Z On Forbes’ 2018 Wealthiest Celebrity List

Source: Erik Voake/Getty Images for Adidas/Larry Busacca/PW18/Getty Images for / Getty Kylie Jenner Ties Jay-Z In Net Worth Who ever thought we’d see the day that Jay-Z had more in common with Kylie Jenner than he does with any other hip-hop artist? Forbes released their annual roundup of the top-earning celebs of the year and the results were a miniature shock, to say the least. The Hip Hop G.O.AT and the lip kit mogul babymama . This year’s list toppers are tied for the #5 spot on the list at a whopping $900 Million net worth . Damn, y’all must really love some lipstick out here. Anywho, as surprising as that figure is, these two are far from this year’s list toppers if you can believe it. Check out the rest of the list (there are ten names, but with two ties there’s technically only 8 slots this year): 1. George Lucas- $5.4 billion 2. Steven Spielberg – $3.7 billion 3. Oprah Winfrey – $2.8 billion 4. Michael Jordan – $1.7 billion 5. (tie) Kylie Jenner – $900 million / Jay-Z – $900 million 6. David Copperfield – $875 million 7. Diddy – $825 million 8. (tie) Tiger Woods – $800 million / James Patterson – $800 million What do you think of the list in full? Erik Voake/Getty Images for Adidas/Larry Busacca/PW18/Getty Images for / Getty

Pooch Hall’s Reported DUI Arrest Sheds Light On Black People Facing Intoxication Charges

Read the original here:

P olice reportedly arrested another high-profile Black man for a DUI on Wednesday. Cops apprehended Pooch Hall , who starred on “The Game,” for driving under the influence of alcohol and felony child endangerment, according to TMZ . RELATED: Tiger Woods Re-Enters Rehab Following DUI Arrest Hall’s arrest highlights the arrest rates of Black people when it comes to DUI charges. The statistics — which are conflicting and scarce — are still alarming when it comes to these arrests. 'Ray Donovan' Actor Pooch Hall Arrested for DUI and Letting 2-Year-Old Drive https://t.co/YnCPyUlqMh — TMZ (@TMZ) October 4, 2018 As recently as 1973, the drunk-driving arrest rate for Black adults in the United States was nearly twice as high as that for whites, according to available data from the  National Institutes of Health . More recent FBI data in 2016 showed a higher DUI arrest for Black people as compared to other races except for whites. There were 108,881 reported DUI arrests of African Americans, according to the bureau. The data on drinking-related traffic accidents and alcohol-impaired driving seems to also be mixed. Some statistics did show an overrepresentation of Blacks when it comes to those events, indicating the group faces a greater risk of potential injury and fatalities. Hall, unlike many other Black drivers who may drive drunk, and his 2-year-old son didn’t lose their lives or sustain any injuries. The actor is, however, reportedly in major trouble after having allegedly let his toddler child try to drive his vehicle because he was intoxicated. Witnesses had called 911 after seeing the toddler trying to hold the steering wheel while sitting in Hall’s lap. Their car veered off the road and did hit a parked vehicle, but they weren’t hurt. The actor, who had a reported blood alcohol level of .25, which is more than 3 times the legal limit, was taken to jail. Police set his bail at $100,000. The star’s wife took custody of their son after the incident. Tiger Woods Wins 1st PGA Tournament Since 2013, Still Canceled

Source: WENN / WENN After five long years, Tiger Woods is a champion again. On Sunday (Sep. 23) the former first overall pick of the 2004 Chappelle Show Racial Draft finally took home a W when he ended the final day of play with a -11 under 269 in the TOUR Championship which was good enough to earn him his first tournament dub since 2013 and 80th career PGA TOUR win. The scene is insane out at East Lake. pic.twitter.com/cr6F5rCf1J — Skratch (@Skratch) September 23, 2018 It’s been a long road back to relevancy for Tiger as the last few years of his life has been marred with health issues, DUI ‘s, surgeries, and worst of all, caping for Donald Trump . Now that Tiger’s finally back in the winning column his lifelong fans are hoping the second act of Tiger Woods’ legend is coming to fruition. Don’t get it twisted though, Tiger’s still canceled as far as the culture goes. Them uppity folks that view golf the same way we view ball can celebrate this man’s legacy like a phoenix rising out of the ashes all they want, but we’ll never forget how far down Mac Daddy Santa fell into the sunken place and all the f*ckery he did to get down there. — Photo: WENN.com

The Super Bowl is over, now all the marketing dollars are being thrown into the Olympics, where we can forget our differences and watch white people compete for medals against other countries in the snow… The German team has the right idea, where they got some of their athletes Naked for some magazine…if you like seeing female athletes who thanks to modern science are basically the size of dudes….you can see this if you ever make the mistake of standing outside a Cross Fit gym…girls, like the creepy little league coach I had, who have too much muscle, her clit grows to the size of a Man’s Thumb… We’d have to ask Tiger Woods about that, you know since he’s got up and in that Lindsay Vonn…who is kinda hot…in a very muscular way….where these Germans…are a little too much what you’d expect to see from a German…if you’ve ever been to a german sex club and have been faced with a 230 pound 6 foot 5 butch named Helga…you know what I mean.
