Man Kills Wife Then Tricks Her Family Into Believing She’s Alive For Over A Year; Eventually Murders Them & The Family Pets

Source: Mihajlo Maricic / EyeEm / Getty   Florida Man Murders Wife, Makes Family Believe She’s Alive For Over A Year According to the Tampa Bay Times , Shelby Svenson, 25, admitted to killing his wife Jamie Ivancic — but only after he had already been arrested for also killing three of her family members. Ivancic reportedly had told family members about a year ago that she was planning to leave Svenson, and take the children with her. Both Ivancic and Svenson were previously arrested on domestic violence charges, accused of assaulting each other. The last time anyone actually spoke directly with Ivancic was about a year ago, on January 25th, 2018, when she had a FaceTime call with her sister Karma Stewart. Police believe Ivancic may have been dead for over a year, but Svensen convinced her friends & family that she was still alive by reportedly texting and sending photos of the couple’s two children from her phone, and telling them that she was unavailable to talk when they called to speak with her. During an interrogation regarding the triple murder, Svenson also admitted to killing his wife by way of “violent blunt-force trauma” and burying her body in the backyard of their previous residence in Port Richey, Florida. Ivancic’s parents and brother were found dead in their home on New Years’ Day and Svenson was arrested in Ohio two days later, driving his murdered mother-in-law’s stolen SUV. When police arrived, they found Richard, Laura and Nicholas dead as well as the family’s three dogs. No official statement has been made yet as to the motive for those murders, either. August Williams, 46, attempted to force the victim into his car before she was able to break free and look for help. The woman rushed into “Bushiken Karate Charlotte Dojo” in Charlotte, NC and franticly told the occupants that a man was chasing her and trying to hurt her. At that exact moment Williams entered the dojo looking for her, where he met studio’s senior instructor, Randall Ephraim, face to face.   “I asked how I could assist him and he stated that he was there for the lady. She insisted that she did not know him and tried to kidnap her.” Ephraim tried asking Williams to leave. However, he refused to do so and became aggressive. The girl was on the phone with a dispatcher on Tuesday night when the operator reportedly heard someone say the words “you called 911” and “blow your head off,” according to the police report obtained by ABC News . After that, the operator heard a loud bang and some screams that indicated someone had died. The daughter, identified by KIRO 7 as Natalie Gulizia, was shot in the head by mother Svetlana Laurel, according to the Renton Police Department. The slaying took place at the Renton home of Laurel’s former husband Michael Gulizia, who had custody of Natalie. Michael Gulizia had returned to the home with his daughter to find his ex-wife, who had tied up their 12-year-old son. Natalie then went upstairs to try to call for help, but was still being followed by her mother. Michael Gulizia told police he heard “the sound of a single gunshot” upstairs, according to KOMO News. Investigators say that Laurel went back downstairs and tried to shoot her ex-husband. “The gun failed to fire, with Svetlana struggling to clear the malfunction in the pistol,” read court documents. Michael Gulizia then “rammed Svetlana into the wall with his shoulder, and was able to grab the pistol.” Michael Gulizia held his ex-wife until police arrived on the scene. Natalie’s body was found upstairs. Svetlana Laurel has been charged with first-degree murder.

Source: Mihajlo Maricic / EyeEm / Getty Florida Father Has To Shoot Son To Save Other Son A father from Florida was forced to make an absolutely heartbreaking decision on Sunday when he shot and killed his older son in an effort to prevent him from hurting his younger son during a dispute over a game of pool, Martin County Sheriff’s Office said. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cops were called to the Stuart home a little before 6 a.m. when Marie Maloney said her older son was acting “irrational,” Sheriff William Snyder reported about the incident in a news conference. A few minutes later, the woman called again to say that her husband shot her son. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I don’t know if there is a way I could accurately describe the look on his face,” Snyder said of father, John Maloney. “I am not sure what the dad could have done.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Witnesses say that 30-year-old Joseph Maloney was acting “irrational” for about eight hours that day. Detectives confirm that Joseph and his 26-year-old brother James had been drinking alcohol all night prior to the fight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “The physical altercation began over a game of pool then escalated into the violent attack of one brother on another,” Snyder said. Maloney told police he “verbally intervened” at first, while triying to get Joseph off of James–but he could not, which caused him to attempt the physical route. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “At one point the parents heard their younger son pleading for his brother to stop choking him because he could not breathe,” Snyder recalled. “His brother continued to strangle his sibling with one arm while holding a knife over him with his other hand.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once it was obvious that the family was unable to stop Joseph, Maloney ended up firing his gun and shooting Joseph several times, according to Snyder. Joseph died inside the home and the house showed consistent signs of a struggle, including broken pool sticks and an open butterfly knife. “Based on the circumstances that we think we have now…he would be justified in using deadly force,” Snyder explained. “What you actually have is self-defense for someone else.” John Maloney has not been charged in the shooting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
