On Friday, the finance management app released an interactive music video starring 2 Chainz and comedian Adam Scott. Scott plays the head of finance for a record label who encourages Chainz to save his receipts. The rapper then proceeds to dive into a song about his expensive lifestyle and extravagant purchases, like 2 Chainz is known to do. “EXPENSIFY TH!$” is part of the company’s new campaign, “You Weren’t Born To Do Expenses.” The campaign will consist of digital, social, and TV content, including a 30-second ad that will debut on Super Bowl Sunday.
Source: Joe Raedle / Getty Man Shoots And Kills Five People Inside Of SunTrust Five people were shot and killed by a 21-year-old man inside of a Sebring, Florida SunTrust bank on Wednesday. Police are calling the crime “senseless”. According to NY Daily News , the man barricaded himself inside the building before surrendering to a SWAT team, authorities said. Zephen Xaver, 21, called 911 just after noon to report that he’d fired shots inside the SunTrust Bank. Unfortunately, negotiations failed to persuade the barricaded man to leave the building. The identities of the victims weren’t immediately released, and investigators didn’t offer an official motive. The SWAT team then entered the bank, and the gunman eventually gave up, police said. He was arrested without injury. “Today’s been a tragic day in our community,” Sebring Police Chief Karl Hoglund told a news conference. “We’ve suffered significant loss at the hands of a senseless criminal doing a senseless crime.” In case you’re curious, here’s a link to his mugshot . The performers on the list are Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Dan + Shay, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, and Kacey Musgraves. One of the biggest nights in music is set to be hosted by Alicia Keys and will broadcast live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 10. Of course, all of the performers set to take the stage are also nominated for some awards. Camila Cabello received two nominations this year for Best Pop Solo Performance “Havana” along with Best Pop Vocal Album. Cardi B is nominated for Record of the Year for “I Like It”, Album Of The Year for her debut Invasion Of Privacy , Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Maroon 5 for “Girls Like You”, Best Rap Performance for “Be Careful”, and Best Rap Album once again for Invasion Of Privacy . Two-time nominee Janelle Monáe is up for both Album Of The Year for her project Dirty Computer and Best Music Video for “Pynk”. More performers are sure to make an appearance during this year’s broadcast, but we’ll just have to wait and see once those are announced. This year’s Grammys is shaping up to be one for the books.
Watch TV One’s “Three’s Complicated” Movie There’s a new TV One movie that features a familiar face and a CRAZY plot line. “Three’s Complicated” is executive produced and starring “Shameless’” Shanola Hampton as Deja, a 42-year-old divorcee who ends up in a precarious dating scenario with a younger man. Things get extraaaaa spicy when it’s discovered that that younger man, Sonny (Tyler Lepley), may also be hooking up with her college-aged daughter Eleni (Kyanna Simone Simpson). It all begins when Deja is passed over at work and decides on a night out at the bar to drown her sorrows. She ends up getting smashed to smithereens by Sonny who’s ten years her junior. Source: RHONA WISE / Getty Boca Raton Cop Fired Over N-Word Gets Second Chance The lengths that cops will go to in order to protect one another is pretty sickening and it’s almost always at an innocent person’s expense. Crazy how that works. A Sun-Sentinel article details how Boca Raton cop Jeremy Codling was fired earlier this year after it was revealed that he used the n-word and frequently told racist and offensive jokes in the presence of Black officers. Initially, only disciplinary action was taken in the form of demotion, pay reduction, and a written letter of apology. Nine days after his demotion, it was discovered that Codling lied about his behavior under oath in addition to storing several pornographic images and websites on his department-issued computer. After being fired on March 5, somehow this d-bag with a badge has been granted a second chance to be an officer of the law. Codling has been given a “last chance,” she said, because significant disciplinary action was taken, he had no previous complaints of racism and if he messes up, he’ll be out of a job, again. “The final part of the discipline is a legal document in which the officer and city agree that that if the officer exhibits any similar behavior in the future, he will be terminated,” Gibson said. Translation: He used to be such a good boy prior to his racism that we just HAD to give him another chance. Peep this sorry a$$ excuse for an apology letter: “I want you to know that I am sorry for offending you with anything I may have said or done; It was never my intent to upset you,” Codling wrote. “Hopefully we can both move forward and have a good working relationship at the Boca Raton Police Department.” That’s how you apologize to a Black man for saying the n-word huh? A police department in rural Alabama is under fire for a Facebook post that intertwines religion and government says an opposition group. According to AL , the Freedom From Religion Foundation charges that the Opp Police Department (what a PERFECT name for a group of cops, the opps) is violating the law by using their platform to endorse a religious belief. Two firearm-related murders in two days prompted the department to take their frustration to Facebook: THIS PAST SUNDAY, A YOUNG MAN WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN KINSTON. MONDAY NIGHT, A MOTHER WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN NORTHERN COVINGTON COUNTY. THERE HAVE BEEN FIVE MURDERS IN COVINGTON COUNTY IN 2018. THESE MURDERS HAVE BEEN DONE BY OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE WE HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM GOD AND EMBRACED SATAN. WE MAY HAVE NOT MEANT TO DO SO BUT, WE HAVE. IT IS TIME TO ASK FOR GOD’S HELP TO STOP THIS. IT IS TIME TO BE PARENTS AND RAISE OUR CHILDREN, NOT HAVE THEM RAISE US. A few minutes later, the woman called again to say that her husband shot her son. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I don’t know if there is a way I could accurately describe the look on his face,” Snyder said of father, John Maloney. “I am not sure what the dad could have done.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Witnesses say that 30-year-old Joseph Maloney was acting “irrational” for about eight hours that day. Detectives confirm that Joseph and his 26-year-old brother James had been drinking alcohol all night prior to the fight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “The physical altercation began over a game of pool then escalated into the violent attack of one brother on another,” Snyder said. Maloney told police he “verbally intervened” at first, while triying to get Joseph off of James–but he could not, which caused him to attempt the physical route. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “At one point the parents heard their younger son pleading for his brother to stop choking him because he could not breathe,” Snyder recalled. “His brother continued to strangle his sibling with one arm while holding a knife over him with his other hand.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once it was obvious that the family was unable to stop Joseph, Maloney ended up firing his gun and shooting Joseph several times, according to Snyder.
