Source: 5m3photos / Getty Racist Chinese Student Arrested For Poisoning Black Roommate Black folks have it hard enough living in a world where sometimes the only place that feels safe is home, in this case, the enemy was sleeping in the same room. According to NBC New York , a 22-year-old Chinese national student, Yukai Yang, at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged the attempted murder of his unidentified Black roommate. Yang was previously accused of drawing racist graffiti on the roommate’s belongings. While police were investigating the crime, they noticed that the roommate had been sick for quite some time and called emergency assistance for uncontrollable vomiting. The victim told police that he had been drinkign from a bottle and his tongue began to burn. A blood test revealed that there were high levels of thallium in the victim’s blood. Thallium is a poison designed to kill rats and other rodents. Yang admitted to buying the thallium and says he was going to use it on himself if his grade began to slip. Says D.A. John Morganelli: “This was over a period of time with … thallium being added to foods and drinks in the refrigerator,” Morganelli said. “He was getting worse all the time.” Word from the CDC is that thallium causes nausea, painful limbs, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, kidney damage and nerve damage. Yang is sitting in the can until his trial begins.

A police department in rural Alabama is under fire for a Facebook post that intertwines religion and government says an opposition group. According to AL , the Freedom From Religion Foundation charges that the Opp Police Department (what a PERFECT name for a group of cops, the opps) is violating the law by using their platform to endorse a religious belief. Two firearm-related murders in two days prompted the department to take their frustration to Facebook: THIS PAST SUNDAY, A YOUNG MAN WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN KINSTON. MONDAY NIGHT, A MOTHER WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN NORTHERN COVINGTON COUNTY. THERE HAVE BEEN FIVE MURDERS IN COVINGTON COUNTY IN 2018. THESE MURDERS HAVE BEEN DONE BY OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE WE HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM GOD AND EMBRACED SATAN. WE MAY HAVE NOT MEANT TO DO SO BUT, WE HAVE. IT IS TIME TO ASK FOR GOD’S HELP TO STOP THIS. IT IS TIME TO BE PARENTS AND RAISE OUR CHILDREN, NOT HAVE THEM RAISE US. IT IS TIME TO FULLY SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT AND STAND BY THE OFFICERS AND DEPUTIES THAT ARE FAR TOO OFTEN HAVING TO WALK INTO THESE DANGEROUS SITUATIONS AND CLEAN UP THE MESS. Maybe they figured that since they were in the Bible belt that the community of 6,500 would be amenable to such a characterization. But maybe, just maybe, if the Opp cops were better at their job then the murders wouldn’t have happened in the first place, or maybe the Opp cops ARE the devil. *shrug*

This year I caught up with some of your favorite artists and influencers at the SXSW conference in Austin, TX. The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference & Festivals celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries. Fostering creative and professional growth alike, SXSW is the premier destination for discovery. The festival took place 3/14-3/18 with most stages held on Austin’s legendary 6th street. Here I was able to attend some of the most anticipated events including Fader Fort presented by The Fader, where there were on sight barbers giving fresh cuts, guests enjoyed cocktails courtesy of Jack Daniels, New Balance provided a ball pit to promote the classic #574 sneaker, and a plethora of indie to chart-topping artists took the stage to give performances to remember exclusively for pass holders Wednesday-Friday. Raekwon popped out for a surprise set , performing tracks from solo projects and Wu-Tang classics like “C.R.E.A.M.” SOB X RBE brought Black Panther to FADER FORT with a performance of “Paramedic!” Saweetie premiered her new track “B.A.N.” on the FADER FORT stage . Watch Soccer Mommy’s powerful performance of “Your Dog” at FORT here . Bun B stops by FADER FORT and dedicates a performance of UGK’s “One Day” to Parkland shooting victims. Bible of Love consists of 32 tracks and features guests appearances from a number of the genre’s most storied singers including Tye Tribbett, Faith Evans, Rance Allen, and Kim Burrell. Snoop has gone through many phases in his music career, and this latest gospel album seems to be a passion project. From his new series on Netflix, to his job as a football coach, and the multiple shows he hosts, it’s crazy to imagine how D-O Double G has enough time to make another album–especially with more than 30 tracks. Richard Pryor’s Daughter Blasts Quincy Jones And Everyone Who Believes Him Richard Pryor’s daughter is fed up with everyone sipping her deceased father’s “tea” by way of Quincy Jones’ loose lips in his recent interview with Vulture. Rain Pryor says that Quincy Jones is losing his mind in his old age and seeking attention by regurgitating old tired rumors about her father’s sexual proclivities, and his widow is only “validating” it out of hate for her deceased husband and a desire for legitimacy. Rain doesn’t believe the stories about her father one bit, and thinks you’re foolish and gullible if you DO. As she told the world off in a recent facebook post: All you who touted Faux News and preach about wanting blacks to be represented in a great light and then posted Q’s interview are irrelevant and full of your own BS. Q, was once a brilliant music producer who is losing his mind, and decided to garner publicity for himself with a sensationalized interview; and because y’all think and equate Fame and Money with decency, you ate it up like thirsty dogs, as he spewed out a lie about my father who’s not here to defend himself. Then on top of it all, my dad’s so-called widow validated it, because she needs to keep legitimizing herself and tarnish our dad even after he’s dead. She hated Q and Daddy. Y’all so thirsty and LOVE THEM but ever know the real source or full story, and you’re gonna wonder how 45 became president? WAKE UP!!! So read this, I don’t need you as a fan or a friend. I don’t need anyone in my life that thinks a sensationalized interview is relevant and “incredibly well done.” People who lie or share information to raise themselves up are bottom feeders no matter how much money or influence they have. Wrong is still wrong!!! #GTFOH I’m getting my millions the correct way, with integrity!!!! That’s all well and good, and we understand her reluctance to believe salacious details about her late father’s intimate sexual life…but we think there’s a strong chance her father’s wife and peers had a bit more firsthand knowledge about that side of her father than his little girl likely ever would. As previously reported Don gave a Kevin Hart style apology to Ashley and his three kids, two of which he shares with her, for “embarrassing them.” Following that Ashley dropped his last name from her social media and told the world that they’re currently separated. Now she’s also letting fans know that the habitual dirty dog is trying to “play the victim” in the situation and wants to make her feel guilty for his infidelity. “Just crazy how people can’t man up and take responsibility for their actions but continue to play the victim and justify what they did,” wrote Ashley. “I ain’t feeling guilty about s***.” Manipulators gonna manipulate. If you can remember back to 2016 Waka and his wife Tammy Rivera were in headlines for his infidelity and split briefly before Tammy publicly took him back. Now the Flockas are enjoying some marital bliss and recently celebrated four years of matrimony-dom. With that in mind, Waka sat down with XXL and dished on his coupledom with his wife who he says “turns him into a toddler” when she hugs him. “Having that significant other at the moments when you really need somebody to just to talk to,” the 31-year-old shares. “It’s them hugs. I don’t know, man. It’s like, when that lil’ lady hug me, man, I just turn into a toddler.
