Source: Bennett Raglin / Getty After 18 months of being behind bars, he is coming home. Rapper Mystikal is free on a Three million dollar bond. The cash reportedly came from an advance after the Louisiana rapper signed a new record contract and family funds. Mystikal, real name Michael Tyler has been in jail since August 2017 due to charges including first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. Mystikal’s lawyers believe that he will eventually be cleared of all charges. His lawyer, Joel Pearce told TMZ “Based on all of the evidence we have, we strongly believe that an amicable resolution is not only possible but probable as an outcome in this case and that Michael Tyler will never be made to return to jail for a crime he didn’t commit.” Mystikal was sentenced to six years in state prison in 2004 after pleading guilty to forcing his hairstylist to perform sex acts.
Source: Bennett Raglin / Getty Tommie Lee Indicted On Child Abuse Charges It’s been a few months after her initial arrests, but ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ star Tommie Lee has been officially indicted on multiple child abuse charges in Georgia. TMZ reports that they obtained the indictment filed by the state of Georgia and the details are horrifying. According to the paperwork, Tommie Lee went to her young daughter’s middle school this past October and allegedly disrupted the class, slapped her daughter on the hands with her purse strap, slapped her across the face, dragged her down the hall by her hair and threw her into a metal locker. Tommie faces 7 charges in the indictment, and 3 of ’em are felonies. The rest are misdemeanors. If she’s convicted on all seven, prosecutors say Tommie could be locked up for up to 54 years. Just recently, Tommie announced she would be quitting #LHHATL to focus on bigger things. This seems pretty big to us. On Thursday (Dec. 20), the femcee posted a post-delivery pic of her and her husband Papoose looking healthy and happy. “I’m FINALLY back home and doing much better. The baby has been PERFECTLY fine since being born Dec. 14th and I’m resting & recovering at home. (Pap is VERY happy, on cloud 9,999 ),” the new mother wrote on Instagram. Not going into any detail about her surgery, she also thanked everyone for checking in on her family and sending them well-wishes. “Thank you to all of our family, friends, and loved ones who reached out- Sorry for not responding to texts and/or calls – I physically was not able to and my husband @papoosepapoose was concerned & worried about me all while looking after our “Golden Child.” Remy also showed love to her fans and the hospital staff that took such good care of her. “Also, thank you to all the fans who sent their love and prayers We would also like to thank the ENTIRE staff at the hospital (doctors, nurses, aides, even the housekeeping) as well as the AMAZING security team ; not only did you all make sure my family was well taken care of but everyone was very professional and extremely respectful & protective of our privacy; we truly appreciate it – with love, The Mackies #RemAndPap #BlackLove #RemyMa #MeetTheMackies #TheGoldenChild #RemyMafia (I luv y’all ).” As we previously reported , days after giving birth to her and Papoose’s “Golden Child,” Remy Ma was rushed back to the hospital due to complications from her delivery. According to TMZ , the rapper was admitted back into the hospital to endure emergency surgery after suffering excessive bleeding on Tuesday night. The site reported that her procedure was a success thanks to blood transfusions. On December 14, after what Papoose described as a “tough labor,” Remy gave birth to a little girl. According to The Hollywood Reporter Big Momma Belcalis will be joined by Chance The Rapper and T.I. as judges on Netflix new music competition show Rhythm + Flow set to air in 2019. The show will be produced by John Legend and his company Get Lifted Film Co. Netflix appears to making a real push towards other types of programming as they have already signed up for a cooking competition show called The Final Table .
