Miranda Cosgrove is leaving the television world for the real world. The actress spoke to E! News last night at the Young Hollywood Awards and talked about the final season of iCarly , which is currently shooting. “Everybody’s been crying,” Cosgrove said . “But it’s nice because everybody’s moving on to new things. But we’ve all had so much fun doing the show. It’s definitely sad.” And where is Cosgrove off to now? College! “I’m going on a little summer tour and then I’m going to start at USC in August,” she said. “College is awesome. I guess I really don’t know what to expect because I’ve been home schooling a long time. ‘iCarly’ star facing her own series finale tells MTV News being on ‘Saturday Night Live’ set for Wiig’s last day was ‘sad.’ By Jocelyn Vena Miranda Cosgrove Photo: MTV News Miranda Cosgrove is just weeks away from filming the final episode of her hit Nick show, “iCarly,” but the actress got a sense of what it might feel like to say goodbye when she recently hit the set of “SNL.” Cosgrove was on hand as Kristen Wiig departed “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, and she couldn’t help but wonder if the end of her show will be as emotional. The teen star was in town taping an episode of “iCarly” with Jimmy Fallon when she and her castmates decided to stop by the “SNL” set to watch the Mick Jagger-hosted finale, which also happened to be Wiig’s farewell . “I’m a huge Kristen Wiig fan,” Miranda told MTV News this week. “I love her. I was super-excited to go to see her last episode ’cause I’ve never been to ‘SNL’ before and it was a pretty cool one to get to go to. … It was sad it was her last episode and I was kind of thinking in the back of my mind that we’re about to finish [our show]. So it was definitely a sad kind of moment, but I’m glad I got to go with the whole cast and we got to have such a good time.” The trip to New York City created a lot of fond memories that Cosgrove said she’ll take with her. “It was so much fun, like, getting to be on the plane with everybody. Jerry [Trainor], he met Sean Penn on the plane and he had him sign his Vans,” she recalled. “I don’t know; it’s kind of like an ‘iCarly’ episode being out here. We all took a carriage ride the other day, we went to FAO Schwarz; we went to ‘SNL,’ the finale. We’ve had the best time together here.” With New York City behind them, the “iCarly” crew will film their last episode in June, marking the end of a super successful five-season run on Nick. We have a quick update on the status of Miranda Cosgrove, following that singer’s scary bus accident late last week. Cosgrove was spotted in Los Angeles International Airport today, being wheeled through the terminal in a cast. Among other injuries, she suffered a broken angle on Thursday morning, when her tour bus ran into a tractor-trailer. The artist is expected to make a full recovery, though she has placed her tour on indefinite hold. “Thank u so much for all your messages. They mean so much to me,” Miranda after the crash. “Yesterday was extremely scary & I’m just so happy everyone’s gonna be okay.” Cosgrove’s mother also suffered a few injuries, while the bus driver – whose tactics Miranda has credited for saving her life – was airlifted away from the scene and placed in critical condition. ‘iCarly’ star’s driver was the most seriously injured in the ‘life-threatening’ crash. By Jocelyn Vena Miranda Cosgrove Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images After news broke on Thursday that Miranda Cosgrove had been injured in a tour bus accident, new details are emerging about what is being described as a potentially “life-threatening” accident. The “iCarly” star and her fellow passengers, including her mother, were shaken up by the crash, according to multiple reports. On Friday (August 12), Cosgrove, who had yet to comment publicly on the accident, took to Twitter to let her fans know she’s doing fine and appreciates all of their support.”Thank u so much for all your messages,” the teen star tweeted . “They mean so much to me. Yesterday was extremely scary & I’m just so happy everyone’s gonna be okay.” TMZ reported that it was dark out when Cosgrove’s bus came across a semi-truck, en route to Kansas, the next stop on her Dancing Crazy Tour. The singer/actress’ bus driver decided that instead of trying to swerve out of the way of the truck, he would hit the brakes and face the vehicle head on. He was the most seriously injured of the group, and was airlifted to a local hospital, where he received as many as 45 stitches. He is currently in stable condition, according to sources. Photos from the crash show extensive damage to front of the bus and the semi-truck appeared to have overturned onto the side of the road. “Miranda’s mom was on the bus with her and got really beaten up by the crash,” a source told People. “She’s expected to fully recover, but it’s scary because the driver was hurt, too, and he’s in really bad shape.” The source added that the teen star was “really shaken up” by the crash. “A piece from the tractor-trailer went straight through the windshield and the driver’s arm was sliced all the way through,” according to the magazine’s source. Cosgrove had been sleeping on a couch at the front of the bus when the accident occurred. Those sleeping in the bunks farther back were not injured. New details have emerged on what a source is referring to as a “life-threatening” crash today involving a tour bus carrying Miranda Cosgrove and many others. As previously reported, the singer broke her ankle when her vehicle – which was headed for a concert date on Kansas – collided with a busted tractor-trailer. According to a People Magazine insider: “Miranda’s mom was on the bus with her and got really beaten up by the crash. She’s expected to fully recover, but it’s scary because the driver was hurt, too, and he’s in really bad shape.” Those sleeping in the back of the bus were unaffected, but Cosgrove absorbed the impact because she was asleep on a sofa closer to the front. “This was a life-threatening crash,” the source added, saying the driver is in critical condition. “A piece from the tractor-trailer went straight through the windshield and the driver’s arm was sliced all the way through.” Cosgrove has postponed her tour “until further notice” and hopes to return to the stage some time this fall. By Jocelyn Vena Miranda Cosgrove Photo: Getty Images “iCarly” star Miranda Cosgrove was injured in a bus accident early on Thursday (August 11), her rep confirmed to MTV News. The 18-year-old actress/singer, who is currently on her summer tour, was not seriously injured but did suffer a broken ankle. “Miranda Cosgrove’s tour bus was involved in an accident early this morning in Illinois on I-70, just outside of Vandalia,” her rep said in a statement. Cosgrove had been traveling from a Wednesday night show in Ohio to Kansas for her Friday stop on the Dancing Crazy Tour. “There were five passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle. At this time, we are told everyone will be fine. “Because of this, her tour is postponed until further notice,” the statement concludes. “Miranda thanks everyone for their understanding and support.” The tour had dates slated through October, when it was going to wrap up in Arizona. She was about halfway through the jaunt, which kicked off in Ohio last month.
