Source: CBS Photo Archive/Contributor / Getty Tamar Braxton Says Her Boyfriend Used To Only Date White Women Tamar Braxton’s boo apparently had a preference for women who looked strikingly different than her. While continuing to be the highlight of “Celebrity Big Brother”, Tay Tay told her former almost fight partner Lo Lo Jones that her boo a.k.a. “T’Challa” had a preference for white women before they dated. Mind you, Tamar said something similar about her ex-husband and noted he “went for blondes” before her. “I met T’Challa and now it’s a wrap again. But he didn’t date Black women, which is crazy,” said Tamar in a clip seen on MadameNoire . “He did not date Black women. It’s like, I’m attracted to men who don’t like Black women. Vince neither, remember that? Vince either. […] “All white girls or others.” Tay also added that her bae, who hails from Nigeria, changed her mind about marriage. “When me and Vince split up I thought I would never get married again. I didn’t want to go through that again. It was a lot. I just never thought…I’m really grateful about it.” While we still haven’t seen Tamar’s Wakandan King, she recently talked about her King with Wendy Williams who noted that he has dreads and a “really nice body.” Tay also said her man’s more than a snack he’s a “lunchable” and a Harvard businessman who she wants to have babies with. If you haven’t been watching Tamar on “Celebrity Big Brother” you’re seriously missing out, she was recently named fan favorite for her antics. See more Tamar on CBB on the flip.
Source: Michael Lavine/ FOX / Michael Lavine/ FOX “The Passage” Actress Caroline Chikezie Says The Show Is Full Of Black Girl Magic Tonight FOX is set to air their new show “THE PASSAGE.” which focuses on Project NOAH, a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease, but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race. When a young girl, Amy Bellafonte (played by Saniyya Sidney, who was in Fences’ and ‘Hidden Figures’) is chosen as a test subject, Federal agent Brad Wolgast (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) is tasked with bringing her to Project NOAH, but ultimately becomes her surrogate father who does everything in his power to protect her. The show also stars British actress Caroline Chikezie who also appeared on the cable series “The Shannara Chronicles,” the streaming series “The Governor,” which was filmed in Nigeria and in the award-winning film ‘Babymother.’ Chikezie was also featured in “Eragon,” “Aeon Flux,” “Breaking and Entering” and “The Sweeney.” We spoke with Caroline about her role as Major Nichole Sykes, the many instances of black girl magic on “The Passage” and filming in Atlanta vs. filming in Nigeria. Check out our interview below. Source: Michael Lavine/ FOX / Michael Lavine/ FOX BOSSIP: Tell us about what drew you to this show and this role? Caroline Chikezie: It all started when I got the script for the pilot. I loved it and as I read it I could just see myself being Dr. Sykes, so that’s always a good thing. I just auditioned and got to be the last woman standing. My character is a very complicated individual. She’s a King because she commands men, and is fearless. Very fearless. The type of person you’d want to have on your side in a crisis situation, she’s very cool under pressure. She understands that there will be consequences for decisions she makes and is willing and capable to accept whatever fallout comes from her decisions. She’s a bad a**. A strong, black woman unapologetically. BOSSIP: Black girl magic was such a big thing in 2018. Could we touch a little on that and how the show taps into it with your character and Saniyya Sidney’s character Amy Bellafonte? CC: First of all, Saniyya is a movie star. I wouldn’t even call her a princess, I’d call her a queen. She’s so mature. Acting is just so effortless to her. It’s just awesome to watch her grow and when you think black girl magic there’s nothing more magical than Saniyya Sidney as the lead role Amy and my role as Major Nichole Sykes. For young girls watching we’re giving the opportunity to show that we are capable of anything. When I was growing up, we could only get the best friend role, or the role where we are killed, or hurt, or a lowly girl. Not that any role is lowly, because it is an honor to be cast when working as an actress, but just like finally we get to be represented as strong woman roles because that’s our rightful pace. We should be celebrating it, so I’m grateful. Source: Michael Lavine/ FOX / Michael Lavine/ FOX BOSSIP: Why should Bossip readers be interested in watching “The Passage”? CC: It’s got something for everybody! You’ve got the big heart, you’ve got a love triangle. My character is involved in a love triangle — we’ll see how that unfolds. There are a lot of characters I feel like your readers can connect with. Like mine and her journey through the show. How she handles being in an interracial relationship, how she navigates being a boss lady in a white environment. There’s loads of issues I think readers can relate to. BOSSIP: Is there anything you’ve learned that would be useful in an apocalyptic event? CC: I had to do some shooting practice, because my character uses guns, so I’ve learned that. Also, my character is a runner so if there’s ever an apocalypse I’ll be able to run! Source: Michael Lavine/ FOX / Michael Lavine/ FOX BOSSIP: What are the pros and cons of shooting in Atlanta vs. filming in Nigeria? CC: I love shooting in Nigeria, because of the food mostly. I’m British-Nigerian. The closest I’ll get to feeling like I’m home in America is shooting in Atlanta. I love Atlanta, in fact, I plan to move there. I was born and raised in the UK. Check out a fun video of Caroline and her costars from “The Passage” below: “The Passage” airs tonight Monday, January 14 on FOX. Will you be watching?
Source: FOX / Getty We finally get some good news on tonight’s episode of Empire . Kai, who has been missing in Nigeria for five days at this point, has been found. Jamal cheeses from ear to ear after getting the call with this news and heads to the hospital post haste! It’s obviously a joyous reunion. What ended up happening to Kai was that he and his crew got ambushed but managed to escape. However, it was a journey trying to get back to the US with no money or passport. This is also the moment we discover that Kai has HIV. Kai didn’t kick Cookie and Jamal out of the room when the doctor was giving him his medical run down. One of the things we learn, which clues us in, is that Kai’s viral load was high because he hadn’t been taking his medication (because he couldn’t). Jamal has known about Kai’s status and had been taking the proper precautions to keep himself negative (like taking PrEP , for example), but imagine Cookie’s shock when she discovers this! Jamal tries to explain to Cookie that she shouldn’t be worried, but she’s so shaken up that she goes home and spills the beans to Lucious. Cookie asks Lucious what they should do about this and Lucious surprises us all when he tells her they should mind their business. Cheers to growth. Lucious understands that you can’t keep two determined grown people apart. Cookie, however, is still a bit dense in getting that mainly because she needs to educate herself about HIV and AIDs, which she does, and because she’s just protective of her baby. Hakeem wants to get back with Tiana, and while she’s down for some d, she’s not convinced that she wants to be with him due to his antics and she wants to focus on getting her music career back together. That latter part takes a turn when Tiana presents new music to Kingsley at Empire and he hates it. He’s super rude to her and insults Hakeem . Basically, he wants her to scrap the project and start over. Becky seems to like it and side eyes Kingsley, who doesn’t deal well with managing artists interpersonally very well. The song was dope but the message here is obvious: Kingsley wouldn’t know a hit if he tripped over one while walking down the street. In other news, Lucious has been struggling with Devon. The thing with Devon is, he has the voice and the looks, but his presence, heart, and soul aren’t quite there. Lucious wants him to stop holding back and taps Jamal to come help. Jamal works his magic, of course, and successfully gets Devon ready to make his debut. We’ll get there in a second. Tiana surprise drops that track she did with Blake (the one where Hakeem wrote the lyrics for Blake and then Blake made Tiana promised that the song would stay between them) because she’s pissed off at Kingsley. Hakeem isn’t happy when he hears it because he’s jealous. Hold that thought. Now we’re at Devon’s performance. The audience is feeling him and so is a record label owner that Lucious has been courting. It’s a man that Lucious knows from back in the day and he wants to sign Devon. They got themselves a deal! Blake confronts Tiana about dropping the track because once again, that song was never supposed to come out. Then Tiana says when she “heard what Blake wrote” she just had to drop the track. Hakeem overhears this and gets pissed at the thought that people think that people think Blake wrote it and thinks Blake is trying to take credit. So, Hakeem does what he does, and punches Blake in the face multiple times. It’s also important to note (if you haven’t picked that up by now) that Hakeem also feels like Blake is trying to steal his woman. Blake and Hakeem get to fighting for a sec (it’s a miracle Hakeem is even breathing through this with his collapsed lung situation) and after it’s broken up, Hakeem has a flashback of Tiana in labor. She had a high-risk pregnancy with twins and a rough delivery. Ultimately, she almost died delivering a boy and a girl, and the girl died. They went through a lot of strife, but that doesn’t always mean they should be together. Tiana is tired of Hakeem’s volatile behavior and says she’s done with him. For real, for real. The episode wraps on a high note. Kai proposes to Jamal. He got the ring the moment he got out of the hospital. But guess what? Jamal planned to propose too! So then he gets down on his one knee and they pop the question to each other. Awww…but we’re still stressed out about who tf ends up dying! The entertainer took on Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” and opened our eyes to things going on in the Mother Land. Check it out. It was so good that even Diddy gave his cosign. There are a few other “This Is America” attempts as well, most of which have been parodies. Hit the flip to see who else has tried to take on this song (and mostly failed).

“You are evil!”— Matt Jordan Matt Jordan Exposes Kenya Moore Matt Jordan is continuing to blast his ex-girlfriend Kenya Moore for her “manipulative” behavior. According to the RHOA costar who broke windows at Kenya’s Moore Manor TWICE and was arrested four times last year , Kenya is an “evil” woman who “embarrassed, violated and flat out disrespected to him.” Furthermore Matt is bringing up those old claims that Kenya has a married Nigerian man that gives her money and he MET him when Kenya was hospitalized. “I sat back and watched her hold hands with another man while I sat back and watched (yes we were already seeing each other),” wrote Matt. “I had to find out from some third party person that she was deal [sic] with some married men in Nigeria for money. […] “Throughout my relationship she is texting “hey baby, hey sweetie” “I miss you” to some mothaf*** named JoJo Nigeria. […] Then when Porsha yells out one-eyed African y’all act like she’s crazy.” This too much… Why would a boyfriend watch his girlfriend hold hands with someone else??? Porsha has been adamant that Kenya’s had a married African sponsor and there were rumors that it was a man named Tonye Cole after they were spotted together. What do YOU think about Matt exposing Kenya??? More on the flip. CupOfMessy
