DeadMau5 Ignites Twitter Feud, Calls Pauly D’s New Video ‘Garbage’

‘Night of My Life’ video ‘typical bottlepopping playpressing garbage im sure everyones sick of,’ deadmau5 tweets. By Jocelyn Vena Pauly D Photo: WireImage After putting to bed his feud with Madonna , it seems EDM star deadmau5 is embroiled in a new Twitter beef, this time with MTV’s own DJ Pauly D . It all began when Pauly posted a link to his new music video for the track “Night of My Life.” He asked his fans, followers and Twitter in general, “So how do you like the video?” Mau5 apparently checked it out and didn’t like what he saw. “Well since you asked,” deadmau5 tweeted , “I didn’t really enjoy it. it looked like it cost about $150 to make, and nothing really creative about it.” @ DJPaulyD well since you asked, i didn’t really enjoy it. it looked like it cost about $150 to make, and nothing really creative about it. — deadmau5 (@deadmau5) May 17, 2012 For those wondering what made Mau5 so mad, the video’s concept is pretty simple and by all standards, pretty innocuous. It plays out almost like a mini-episode of Pauly’s MTV show, “The Pauly D Project,” following him from gig to gig, confetti and champagne flying everywhere. It also features some behind-the-scenes moments, including the “Jersey Shore” star hanging with his pals and meeting fans. Pauly didn’t let the jab go, but did offer up a little quip to answer his fellow DJ’s dig. He tweeted, “T-Shirt $40 Jeans $120 Hair Gel $12 Being Hated On By deadmau5#Priceless.” Like any good feud, it didn’t end there. Dead’s response? “hating? the f—? you clearly don’t know me enough if you thought that was ‘hating’. was just some friendly-ish advice.” Things continued to escalate on Dead’s side, with him tweeting responses including, “i’ll just leave it at: ‘Don’t blame your failure on haters. If everyone thinks you suck, they’re not haters, they’re right.’ – Daniel Tosh,” and in response to a fan, he added, “nah, i just thought it was a piece of sh–, in short. typical bottlepopping playpressing garbage im sure everyones sick of.” “Well, now that Jersey (and quite possibly the rest of the eastern seaboard) ‘came at me bro’ i guess its time for bed soon,” Deadmau5 added before asking where Snooki is and then resigning, “im kidding. that was a joke. sorry.” With Deadmau5 seemingly over the whole thing, Pauly pondered, “Wonder If I Could Get @Deadmau5 To DJ My Birthday ?? Now That Would Be The #NightOfMyLife.” As the whole beef came to an end, Pauly had a few final words before ending the battle on his end. “Maybe He Just Needs Some Cheese To Go With His Whine … #WheresMyMau5Trap,” he said, then tweeted, “Well @DeadMau5 Today Was A Pleasure , Hope U Had Fun Too , But I Got Show To Watch Tonight #PaulyDProject U Should Tune In@MTV.” Sound off on the Twitter feud in the comments below! Pauly D Getting His ‘Beast’ On With Label Boss 50 Cent

‘Pauly D Project’ star tells MTV News he is taking his time with debut album because he ‘really wants it to be great.’ By John Mitchell 50 Cent and Pauly D Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images Pauly D is hard at work, making the kind of bold career moves that should help him keep his star status strong long after his days in Seaside Heights are behind him. The “Jersey Shore” breakout has been cataloging his exploits on his new spin-off, “The Pauly D Project,” which follows the star as he travels the world with his crew as an in-demand DJ and continues to pursue a recording career. Pauly signed with 50 Cent’s G-Note record label late last year and reportedly got right to work. “I’m focusing on music. That’s my passion,” Pauly said at the time. “I’m working with 50 Cent now. I’m gonna do an album with him. It’s going to be a little bit of everything. It’s almost like DJ Khaled and kind of David Guetta, but my own DJ Pauly D style.” So how is the album coming along? Apparently, quite well. “G-Unit’s going great. I’m working heavily on my album right now, trying to lock down some producers, some artists,” Pauly told MTV News. “I’m taking my time with it. I really want it to be great. I want the album to show my personality, just like my DJing does.” Pauly had nothing but praise for label boss 50 Cent, saying, “50’s a beast, man. He’s so smart when it comes to business, and he’s so talented. Him and I just clicked the second we met, so it was great.” The feeling, it seems, is mutual. While talking to MTV News in NYC late last month, 50 had nothing but good things to say about Pauly and his new show. “Well, Pauly D’s show is gonna be as — I don’t want to say more exciting than ‘Jersey Shore’ — I’ll say as exciting as ‘Jersey Shore’ to maintain the audience that ‘Jersey Shore’ had by itself,” 50 said. “He has a lot going on right now, and they’ll get a chance to go into his world, as far as his DJing and a lot of things he’s actually doing.” The “Pauly D Project” airs Thursday at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. It follows the new season of “Punk’d,” which is set to include appearances from superstars like Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato. Don’t miss “The Pauly D Project” every Thursday night at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV! For continuing “Pauly” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog. Is ‘Jersey Shore’ Coming Back For Season Six?

‘I love it as a show, and I love it with my roommates,’ Pauly D tells MTV News, holding out hope for another season. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Pauly D Photo: Ian Spanier As the latest season of “Jersey Shore” wraps up next week, fans are wondering if the crew will head back to Seaside Heights, New Jersey, to bring their brand of fun to the famed locale. Well, for now, anything is possible. An MTV rep told MTV News in a statement, “No decision has been made yet on a sixth season of ‘Jersey Shore.’ ” One person who would definitely be onboard for another season is DJ Pauly D. “Absolutely! I’m there! I love summers on the Jersey Shore,” he told MTV News. “I love it as a show, and I love it with my roommates. I wouldn’t do it without [them]. I gotta do it with them. I want all of them, and I want the Jersey Shore.” Well, whatever the fate of “Jersey Shore” is, Pauly D is gearing up for his spin-off, “The Pauly D Project,” which kicks off March 29, the same night the brand-new season of “Punk’d” premieres. The show will follow Pauly’s life as a world-renowned DJ. And with celebrity pals like 50 Cent ( Pauly is signed to 50’s G-Note Records ) and Britney Spears (whom he toured with last year ) as cameo possibilities when the show kicks off, fans will get a real inside look at Pauly’s whirlwind life. “It’ll be probably along the lines of, I used to be this DJ in Rhode Island, DJing two sets a week, hustling, promoting,” Pauly explained to MTV News last year. “And all of a sudden, I’m on this show, and now they’re sending private jets for me to DJ for these huge crowds, yet I’m still the same guy that was DJing for 200 people, just loving life.” Snooki and JWoww are also currently filming their own spin-off, which will likely include Snooki’s next life chapter: She recently confirmed that she is pregnant and engaged to Jionni LaValle. Are you hoping for a sixth season of “Jersey Shore”? Let us know in the comments! Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. ‘Jersey Shore’ Star Vinny Hit ‘Breaking Point’ Before Leaving

‘I had to go home to recharge; Pauly is just not enough,’ Staten Islander tells MTV News of taking a break from the boardwalk. By Christina Garibaldi, with reporting by Matt Elias Vinny contemplates leaving on “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV After spending season four of “Jersey Shore” in Italy, the Seaside gang headed right back to Jersey, as fans saw after last week’s season-five premiere . But while they wasted no time getting into their old routine of hitting the gym, tanning and fist-pumping the night away, one castmember wasn’t really up for GTL. “I had to go home to recharge; Pauly is just not enough,” Vinny told MTV News , about his departure on Thursday night’s (January 11) episode. And although Ronnie assured us that fans of the hit MTV show would see a much “lighter side” of the crew this year, it seems Vinny had a hard time adjusting to life back in Seaside Heights. With little personal time between the Florence and New Jersey seasons, Vinny decided to pack his bags and head home to Staten Island for a breather. “We just came from Italy, and you know we all hit a wall at some point,” Vinny explained. “We all kind of reached our breaking point in some way because it was so hard, the schedule, you will see my personal problems happen in the first couple of episodes. I’m just the type of person, when I’m feeling like that, I need certain things.” “Jersey Shore” fans know that Pauly D and Vinny share a special bond, so how did his bro handle the Staten Islander’s exit? “We almost had a blowup when he left,” Pauly revealed. “You just expect him to be there; you don’t realize what you got till it’s gone, I’ll tell you that.” Mike “The Situation” added, “I know [Pauly] was genuinely upset. We were all upset, but Pauly took it to heart, I know that for a fact.” It wasn’t just Pauly, though. All of the housemates were affected by Vinny’s departure. “It hit home for a lot of us because we all had to kind of face our emotions, because Vinny’s the person that’s always our voice of reasoning and [now he] is saying, ‘I can’t take it anymore,’ ” JWoww explained. “This is a family, when you have … a brother or sister leave, it’s heartbreaking, it’s sad. You really do feel like something is missing in the house.” For continuing “Jersey Shore” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog. It’s almost like DJ Khaled and kind of David Guetta but my own DJ Pauly D style.” This deal with Fiddy is merely Pauly’s next step in an ever-growing empire. His brand also includes a residency at Las Vegas nightclub Rain at the Palms Resort and Casino. Heck, the tall-haired reality star even opened for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale Tour this summer and may join her again at her December 10 concert, the final stop on her world tour.
