Eugenia Cooney, a 22-year-old YouTube vlogger, is under serious fire for what people are considering “promoting an unhealthy lifestyle.” Cooney is alarmingly thin – terrifyingly, upsettingly skinny – and though a Change.org petition had over 15k signatures on it, there a few things wrong here. First, Cooney may or may not be anorexic . If she is, that is, unfortunately her problem, and not our problem to judge her. Second, what if Cooney is dying from some kind of terrible disease , but she’s, instead, decided to keep it to herself? Third, if we banned all of the “unhealthy behavior” on YouTube and other platforms, there’d be no overweight people on the internet, no smokers, no drinkers, no drug-takers … the list goes on and on. The petition on Change.org reads, “Eugenia Cooney is a big YouTuber. THOUSANDS of people notice she clearly has an eating disorder by her physical features.” “These THOUSANDS of people tell her to get help. Eugenia doesn’t get help for herself because people with eating disorders do not look at their bodies the way healthier people do,” it continued. “This effect of her diet is not only giving her a high chance of death, but will also encourage her young viewers to look up to Eugenia and follow in her footsteps.” “Please sign this petition to help save lives,” it read. “I deeply care about this loving girl who has potential to be a real role model and [has] potential to be healthy.” “I know other people out there [agree] that Eugenia needs help. Many people die from an eating disorder every day,” the petition read grimly. “It could be Eugenia or one of her followers.” The petition’s author claimed that the petition wasn’t designed to “hurt” or “bring down” Cooney, but to “save her.” The first petition, titled, “Temporarily ban Eugenia Cooney Off of YouTube” was pulled down, but prior to its demise, had over 15k supporters. A new petition was created, and this new one now has close to 400 at the time of this writing. Yeah, Cooney is thin. She really is unhealthy-looking. We get it. Eugenia tweeted, “I’m really sorry to the people who want me banned of of YouTube.” “I’m really not trying to do anything wrong,” she said. She wasn’t done there, though. “I just don’t really think it is right to try to get people banned off of YouTube unless they’ve done something really bad.” Cooney also doesn’t think she needs any help, though, to be fair. In a YouTube video, she talked about her weight, and said, “I’m just kind of naturally like that, I guess.” “There isn’t really a reason.” Girl, just be well. And people, stop making assumptions about something that may or may not be correct, all right? View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Have Struggled with Eating Disorders

Pumpkin spice lattes. David S. Pumpkins. Donald Trump. It seems everywhere you look you’re confronted by something orange and obnoxious these days. Perhaps we could all learn a lesson from young Rachel in the clip below who decided if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em: Girl Sticks Head Inside Pumpkin, Regrets It The video was uploaded by a woman with the YouTube name Kristy Ralphs. She explains it thusly: “So this is my daughter attempting to stick her head in her pumpkin 20 seconds after I started filming our family pumpkin carving. Didn’t really turn out as she expected but definitely worth a good laugh for the rest of us though! “And YES, she did make it out just fine a few minutes after this video ended.” Yes, the poor girl’s head was stuck inside that damn pumpkin for so long her mom gave up and stopped filming. Fortunately, she eventually posted a sequel: Girl Survives Pumpkin Attack Thankfully, Rachel survived her terrifying run-in with the orange menace. Hopefully we’ll be able to say the same about our nation on November 8. Yes, that was another #Trumpkin joke. We’re getting ’em in while we can! Sue us! Just kidding, please don’t actually sue us, Donald. Anyway, let’s focus on what we can learn from Rachel’s predicament. There’s the obvious lesson of: don’t stick your head in a freakin’ pumpkin, but there’s so much more that can be taken away from this. Namely, the fact that you never know when the opportunity to achieve viral fame will arise, so you should be ready to record at a moment’s notice. In fact, just to be safe, you should probably just wear an iPhone on your chest like a cop’s body camera to ensure that your Chewbacca Mom moment doesn’t elude you. Hilarious Mom Puts on Chewbacca Mask, Internet Falls in Love In a way, Rachel sacrificed her own dignity just to teach us this lesson. When you think about it, she’s basically Pumpkin Jesus. View Slideshow: 11 Viral Stars You’ve Probably Forgotten About: Where Are They Now? Which is probably what Trump’s staff calls him when he’s not around. Sorry, we had to sneak one more in there. Shoutout to Rachel for giving us the opportunity to drop so many topical gourd gags. Also, props for not pummeling that kid who won’t stop singing the same damn line over and over. Truly, Pumpkin Girl is the best among us.

SMH: Rachel Dolezal Set To Appear At A Natural Hair Rally Of course none of us could forget the greatest cultural appropriator in history, Rachel Dolezal . The white woman who caused a national debate about race after posed as an black woman for over a decade. She’s kept a low profile since the media circus she caused last year but it looks like she is back for round two. According to The Daily Beast , Rachel will be headlining a natural hair rally for braiding this weekend. Here’s the plot twist though, Dolezal says she was invited via Facebook by celebrity stylist, natural hair activist Isis Brantley. For those of you who didn’t know, Dolezal has been making a living braiding hair since losing her job as professor and resigning from the NAACP. Fans and supporters were of course, outraged by the mere thought of Rachel being apart of such an event, despite Brantley insisting that she was not a keynote speaker at the event but rather there for greeting and solidarity. Ex-supporters believe that Brantley’s tactic is merely to get more people and media for her event and is truly a “slap right in the face.” Would you guys agree? Don’t forget to drop your thoughts in the comments.
