Khloe Kardashian: BLASTED By Fans For "Insensitive" 9/11 Tweet

Wednesday marked the 18th anniversary of 9/11, a day on which thousands of lives were lost, and America’s political climate was forever changed. Countless celebrities paid tribute to the fallen — and more than a few tripped over their words while marking this most delicate of occasions. Among them was Khloe Kardashian, a seasoned veteran when it comes to both putting her foot in her mouth and fending off unwarranted criticism. We’ll leave up top you to decide which description best fits her latest controversy. As you’re probably aware, Khloe and her sisters are of Armenian descent on the side of their late father, Robert Kardashian Sr. In the past, they’ve discussed their pride in their heritage and used their platforms to raise awareness of the Armenian genocide and other matters of which many Americans might be ignorant. But as you can see, fans felt that Khloe’s latest statement of affection for her ancestors’ homeland was a bit ill-timed. Armenia had no involvement in the 9/11 attacks, but many felt that it’s a day on which all Americans should focus on their shared identity, not their individual ethnic compositions: “365 days on your calendar and you chose today to say something like this..hmm,” one fan wrote. “Be proud of your roots of course but out of all the days you tweet this today. It’s ironic given that your own brand of jeans is called ‘Good American,'” another echoed. Needless to say, Khloe’s tweet wasn’t exactly a hit with her fanbase. But hey, at least Khloe wasn’t the only one to step in it on America’s most somber day of memorial. Former Teen Mom OG star  Farrah Abraham took her daughter to Ground Zero and forgot the difference between a terrorist attack and a purveyor of Buffalo chicken taquitos. “Okay, so we wanted to do, since it’s gonna be September 11, in honor of the Freedom Towers and observatory deck and everything, of 7-Eleven, we are going to do this,” she said on Instagram Live. “Wow, look at this guys,” she added, panning the camera across the 9/11 memorial. So yeah, it could have been worse for Khloe. But hey, at least Farrah’s not alone in making that particular gaffe . View Slideshow: Khloe Kardashian Shares 5 Tips for Looking Skinny AF

Instagram Fetish Porn that Instagram Doesn’t Consider Porn of the Day

I am a vigilante! I have been so wronged by the social media platforms over the last 15 years…where I’ve actually wasted time promoting my various accounts on my site – using their platforms for good not evil…even producing content specific to that platform… only to have the shit rudely taken away from me, for doing shit that was barely hardcore….I’m talking all social media platforms from Friendster, Myspace, Facebook, Twitterr, Instagram, TUMBLR….all multiple times….and I never really even bothered with YOUTUBE knowing they’d ban me if I did. I never posted porn, knowing that it would get me deleted…I remember I once got deleted for telling Bijou Philips I was watching her – because she was at a party I was at in Canada and I guess that was creepy…despite being FACTUAL….I also got deleted for saying that Willa Holland was hot and her mom reported me…and who the fuck even cares to remember other reasons I got deleted…but the fact is I got deleted..time and time again.. As social media got more slutty, I didn’t understand the logic of this naked influencer is ok, this naked porn star is bad…it seemed pretty hypocritical to me. I also didn’t understand that me posting a hot half naked chick was porn, but half naked chicks make up 98 percent of instagram. So I stated my reporting, any nipple I saw, or racy content I saw, I’d report it like a NARC….not cuz I’m a NARC…but to understand why some things fly and others don’t… I figured this publicly traded company is just a fucking massive porn site….fetish site…that’s why it works, since we’re all perverts and their main job is navigating how to be seen as a cultural phenom that reflects society and supports liberal causes like Free the Nipple and breast feeding in public…or to fight social norms like periods being bad and bush being bad…so that people like this can exist on the platform, have audience and even monetize on the platform…when what they are doing is fucking VULGAR.. So this pube fetish model artist is ok….but me posting a hot girl in lingerie is not… Go fuck yourself Instagram….you publicly traded porn site… NOT TO MENTION, I can’t even get mainstream advertisers for posting shit like this….and it’s on fucking instagram…with mainsteam ads running against it. What the fuck…right. The post Instagram Fetish Porn that Instagram Doesn’t Consider Porn of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepFather.com .

#StyleCrush: Allen Onyia Makes Street-Chic Cool As True Religion’s New Artistic Director

Source: Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty Every few years, the climate of the fashion industry changes drastically. At one point, it was cool to rock baggy clothes and mismatched prints, until it became chic to wear skinny jeans and button ups. One thing that rarely shifts in fashion is the desire to incorporate a little street style, no matter what look you’re going for. Big brands sometimes use to stray away from adding “street fashion” into their collections, but they always come back to the culture for a little inspo. In an effort to reassert itself into the genre of streetwear, True Religion hired UpscaleHype cofounder Allen Onyia as their new artistic director. Onyia is a recognized tastemaker in streetwear fashion circles and was named “Menswear’s Most Important Instagram Account” by GQ in 2018. In a press release about Allen’s new, excited gig, True Religion said in a statement: “In his new role, Onyia will innovate modern and elevated streetwear for True Religion, which has iconic roots in the aesthetic. He plans to apply the same ethos to design as he does to his platforms – “look good, feel good and be a part of something”. View this post on Instagram What’s the word? Tell me what you heard. #UpscaleLife A post shared by Allen Onyia (@allenonyia) on Mar 31, 2019 at 9:03am PDT Onyia said of upcoming position: “I have always admired True Religion as an iconic brand with deep roots in the streetwear category. I am thrilled to join the team and bring my vision to reestablish a brand people can associate with, in this new age of streetwear.” True Religion CEO Chelsea Grayson added: “We have been driving towards this watershed moment since I joined the Company. I am excited to work with Allen to return True Religion to its rightful place among streetwear leaders. The whole point of this [hire] is it really signals a sea change for the company and its progression into the future. This is a real line in the sand and I was intent on that when I joined the company.” View this post on Instagram Helluva contrast. #UpscaleLife A post shared by Allen Onyia (@allenonyia) on Mar 12, 2019 at 6:26pm PDT “Allen lives, eats and breathes streetwear and the streetwear aesthetic on all ends of the spectrum. So he knows how to dress it up, dress it down, make it more elevated or less elevated, and I really respect that fluidity in his style.” Adding Allen to the crew is just one of many changes the brand has planned. Grayson says there will be less denim and more crewneck T-shirts, crewneck long-sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, outerwear and elevated fabrications. But Allen isn’t new to this fashion ish. Back in 2008, he co founded the site UpscaleHype with his brother Kyle Onyia, which focused on coverage of high-end men’s wear and celebrity fashion. He also worked with True Religion once before as as a brand ambassador when the brand teamed up with Travis Scott back in 2014. Grayson says Onyia’s mark touch on the brand will be felt as soon as their Spring collection drops — but you’ll see more of his works during the holiday assortments. Congrats, young King.

‘LHHNYS9’ Recap: Kimbella And Yandy Deliver Christmas Eve Drama

View post:

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Christmas didn’t stop Love and Hip-Hop New York from giving us the weekly shenanigans we need. Last night’s episode picks up with a reminder that Cyn Santana’s and Joe Budden’s romantic getaway was not the fix they thought it would be. Joe has a problem with Cyn because he feels like he’s the only one who cleans around the house. Meanwhile, Cyn is kicking it with her sisters at the house (as Joe cleans) trying to get them to do her dirty work—no pun intended—by questioning Joe about when he plans to propose. Joe Budden says he will propose when he’s ready but wants Cyn to take some of her “wifely duties around the house seriously.” Cyn knows who he is so, whatevs. Let’s fast forward a bit. Kimbella and Juju link up for a kiki, and Juju once again tries to convince Kimbella to put her differences aside with Yandy since she’s about to be going through a similar situation. Kimbella is fronting like she doesn’t want to but we know she will. Later on, Mendeecees calls Yandy from prison to tell her that he spoke to Juelz Santana and doesn’t like the situation between Yandy and Kimbella and that they should talk. Yandy isn’t really into it but we know she’s going to try, begrudgingly, of course. MariahLynn is back, talking about how she’s serious about her career and committed to not acting like a wild cassowary for the sake of pursuing her dreams and all the mouths she has to feed (her mom, sisters, and nephew). She meets up with Cyn and Nya Lee where they all wax poetic about their grind and their goals. Cyn even says she’s back in the music game and she has been asking Joe to write her a song for over a year but it hasn’t come to fruition yet. However, he did encourage her to take vocal lessons, which she obliges. But then MariahLynn informs her that Joe posted a video online where he filmed all her junk and complained about her not cleaning up. Cyn wasn’t aware of this, but she is now. So, Cyn meets up with Joe later on for a nice meal and to call him out about making her look crazy. He tells her to get up and clean. She says she doesn’t have time due to the baby and then Joe brings up the fact that he has been asking her to get a nanny for a while because they need the help. Her response is, “Where am I supposed to find a nanny I can trust?” as if they don’t have money and resources enough to hire a professional. She basically gets defensive and he’s coming across as condescending which makes Cyn even more upset, and that’s that. Problem not solved. Where’s Dr. Jeff Gardere when you need him? Next, Safaree and Jaquae come face to face again at a showcase after MariahLynn performs, and manage to squash their situation. Then Nya Lee gets a moment to address a problem she has with DJ Self. She says Self never put her on to any of his platforms and that she looked up to him as a brother so how could he diss her like that. Meanwhile, Self is looking like: Because they’re not that close in his mind. Basically, Nya feels ignored and entitled. Self says she could have come to him in private since she felt they were “so close.” Nya gets mad then goes all the way in with the theatrics. She is trying to get that intro credit love next season! Jonathan’s father recently passed which made him all soft and pink and missing all his friends he fell out with. So, he texts Cyn, Yandy, Juju, and Kimbella to meet up with him. Juju is super confused given that they’re still not quite on good terms. This is about Jonathan trying to reconcile with people who he feels it’s worth saving the relationship since life is short and all that jazz. Kimbella hasn’t arrived by the time Jonathan starts talking about how he has been misusing anxiety pills by mixing them with alcohol and how that has affected his behavior negatively. He goes on to apologize for wilding out on them and expresses that he misses his friends. Juju says she’s ready to forgive and move and then Kimbella comes through. Jonathan apologizes to her too and goes over the spiel again. Kimbella is willing to forgive him while Yandy is just sitting there looking like something stinks the entire time. Once Kimbella and Jonathan get settled, Juju says it’s time for them to address the elephant in the room. Yandy gets all triggered and stank and replies, “Like the elephant can address it herself.” She pulls Kimbella to the side because she doesn’t want to do this in front of them even though they’ll be able to hear the conversation. They start talking at each other again about who did what and who is talking to who the rudest, etc. Eventually, Yandy brings it down a bit and actually tries to offer Kimbella support but Kimbella says she doesn’t want it and maintains that Yandy is fake. In Kimbella’s world, Yandy likes to be a social media friend, meaning that she’ll post pictures and captions on social about how she loves them and wishes them well but won’t actually be there. So, that’s that. They don’t move past anything and Kimbella sashes away with an attitude. They’ll probably be beating this horse again and again. Anyway, see you next week for Love and Hip-Hop Miami and in two weeks for the return of Love and Hip-Hop New York . National Museum Of African American History And Culture To Display LeBron James’ Equality Sneakers

N BA star LeBron James has been an influential voice in the fight for social justice and now his efforts to spread awareness about social equality will be highlighted at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, NBC Washington reported. Lebron James’ Equality sneakers at the NMAAHC https://t.co/NBE1NSKpkp — NBCWashington (@nbcwashington) December 15, 2018 The black and white equality sneakers that James wore during a game against the Washington Wizards last year are heading to the Smithsonian, the news outlet writes. He donned the sneakers to express his disapproval of the racial division that Donald Trump has incited in our country. One sneaker was black, the other was white, and both had the word “equality” on them. The addition of the sneakers to the museum will add to the history and ongoing narrative of how athletes are using their platforms to bring attention to social justice issues. “When he wore the black and white pair, it’s something we paid attention to. Thinking about the significance of the shoes and LeBron’s contribution to fighting for social justice, we decided it would make sense and be a great opportunity to add these shoes into our collection,” Dr. Damion Thomas , who curates the sports exhibit at the museum, told USA Today . “One of our main goals is not just collect things with significant historical background and importance, but also think about the objects that allow us to engage in the contemporary questions and issues that the nation is grappling with.” The sneakers are slated to be featured at the museum this fall. This isn’t the first time that James has been involved with the museum. In 2016, he made a $2.5 million donation to the Muhammad Ali exhibit. “Every professional athlete, regardless of race and gender, owes a huge debt of gratitude to Muhammad Ali,” James said in a statement, according to the Huffington Post . “His legacy deserves to be studied and revered by every generation.” SEE ALSO: The NBA Is Back!
