Thomas Ravenel SLAMMED for Taunting Kathryn Dennis Over Mother’s Death

Last week, Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis tragically lost her mother at a shockingly young age. She is in mourning. Her disgraced ex Thomas Ravenel appears to be trying to use this incident to be pointlessly cruel. Fans accuse him of trying to use social media to make Kathryn’s grief even worse. The backlash against him was swift and severe. On Sunday, August 11, Thomas Ravenel took to Twitter to share what would ordinarily be a precious photograph. “The kids with my mom,” he captioned the image. The now-deleted tweet showed 3-year-old Saint and 5-year-old Kensie alongside Thomas’ mother, Louise Rodgers. The context that turns this sweet post sour is that Thomas posted it just days after Kathryn Dennis’ mother died. Months of social media inactivity and then this? Fans aren’t buying it as an innocuous tweet. This is a mind game. Longtime Southern Charm fans were absolutely furious — and let Thomas know. “You haven’t posted since June 1,” noted a reply. “And you choose the week that your babies lost their maternal grandmother to post your kids with your mom!” “How about adding some condolences to your kids,” that same tweet suggested. “They lost a loved one too. So insensitive.” “This post is in very poor taste, with its timing,” accused another tweet. That user continued: “Nothing against your mother. But it just an obvious mind game. We all see this. Find some class and Stop!” “Really?” exclaimed another Twitter denizen. “Timing is everything. You suck more every day.” “Cute picture,” another wrote gently. “But the timing is a little off considering Kathryn’s Mother’s recent passing.” It was very kind of that person to give Thomas the benefit of the doubt, as if it were some sort of oversight. “You are an asshat for posting this knowing what you know of Kathryns Mother,” another accused. That same tweet continued: “Cannot wait for you to be locked up where you belong. ” That, of course, refers to Thomas’ upcoming rape trial . “No post since early June, then this?” remarked another tweet. “Hmmm.” “You actually have no power to stop your compulsive behavior do you?” accused another. That same tweeter continued: “Posting this is one of the most classless, distasteful acts you have done.” “Congrats on topping you own record,” the reply concluded. If you’re thinking that Thomas responded to this with a tasteful apology about how insensitive he was … you know we’re talking about Thomas Ravenel, right? The backlash was so intense that he deleted his Twitter and his Instagram. To countless people, it really did look like he was trying to rub it in Kathryn’s face that his mother was still alive. He may have also been trying to convey the idea that his mother is the only “grandmother” that Kensie and Saint will clearly remember. Allison Calhoun Dennis passed away on Wednesday, August 7 after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. She was only 59 years old. No one should be exploiting this tragedy for mind games. Thomas Ravenel: Sued by Nanny For Sexual Assault, Cover-Up

Earlier this year, we reported that Thomas Ravenel was accused of sexually assaulting his children’s nanny  and then firing her. That harrowing account was the second accusation of rape to come out against him. Now, Nanny Dawn is suing Thomas over the assault — and the lawsuit also includes Bravo and NBC. Here’s why: RadarOnline reports that Ravenel’s children’s former nanny, Dawn Ledwell, is suing the disgraced former reality star for “assault, slander, and libel.” In court documents, Thomas is accused of having “violently and aggressively” ripped off her clothes in the January 2015 incident. He then allegedly forced his hand between her legs to assault her genitals, “causing severe and significant injuries.” Per the documents, Thomas then attempted “to engage in sexual intercourse” against her will. Ledwell’s team says that hs “conduct was so extreme and outrageous as to exceed all bounds of decency.” “And,” documents read, his behavior “must be regarded as atrocious and utterly intolerable in a civilized community.” That’s all heinous, and we already know that Thomas Ravenel will go to trial over the alleged assault. But why are Bravo and NBC included in all of this? Court papers claim that the production company and network “created, permitted and encouraged Southern Charm plot lines.” These were plotlines, they say, “that focus on alcohol, sexual encounters.” “And,” documents accuse. “The concept that male cast members, including Defendant Ravenel, suffer from ‘Peter Pan Syndrome.'” The papers continue: “and they are the ‘Lost Boys’ and Charleston is their ‘Neverland.'” In the court documents, Ledwell says that, December of 2015, she informed an employee of “Corporate Defendants” about the allegations. The corporate defendants would be Bravo, NBCUniversal and Comcast. We have no idea what sort of employee her team means. However, the documents accuse that the companies “failed to investigate.” It may be difficult to prove that this matter was passed up the ladder to the appropriate individuals. But it sounds like the accusation is that executives didn’t want to stir the pot with a scandal and cared more about ratings than justice. Ledwell’s team believes that Thomas Ravenel knowingly benefitted from corporate greed. “Corporate Defendants and Ravenel have conspired with one another to deter the investigations of assaults committed by Defendant Ravenel,” documents read. Ledwell reports that she has not been contacted “since the public disclosure of the allegations of assault in or around May 4, 2018.” While Bravo did make it clear in 2018 that Thomas would never return to Southern Charm , this was only after the scandal came to light. Did execs feel that public pressure and #MeToo forced their hand, or was this just the first that the right people had learned of the allegations? A statement was released at the time of the allegations against Thomas Ravenel. “Haymaker, the production company for Southern Charm, and Bravo take allegations like these very seriously,” the statement read. It continued: “Haymaker is conducting an investigation, and once all the information is gathered and carefully reviewed, appropriate action will be taken.” Since then, of course, Thomas has not appeared on Southern Charm . Dawn Ledwell has requested a jury trial for the lawsuit. Proving sexual assault is extremely difficult in our legal system. Ledwell is already in the minority, in that her allegations led to an arrest. (The vast majority of sexual assaults are not even reported to police, and even fewer lead to arrests and trials) Proving this conspiracy to cover things up seems like a longshot, even if it is true. Unless there is an employee willing to blab or a particularly damning corporate email, it sounds very tricky. As always, we hope to see justice done. Thomas Ravenel: Arrested for Assault and Battery!

Thomas Ravenel is merely under investigation for rape. But the former Southern Charm star has now been arrested for assault and battery. Here is the wealthy reality star’s mug shot: According to Charleston County jail records, Ravenel was booked at 10:11 a.m. on Tuesday and, as of this writing, remains behind bars. The circumstances surrounding his arrest are unclear, however, although news outlets say the charges are “second degree” in nature. As mentioned at the outset of this article, Ravenel has been at the center of another, likely far more serious investigation for months. Police started looking into Thomas back in May after a woman reported him for sexual assault.  An ex-nanny to his kids has gone on record as saying that Ravenel “corralled” her into the master bedroom, dropped his pants, blocked the door and “ proceeded to rip my clothes off .” She said this incident took place while Ravenel’s daughter was asleep in the room next door and that she managed to escape before the ordeal went any farther. “Although I believe he should be in jail for his crimes, the reality according to statistics is that he will go unpunished,” the nanny told People Magazine, adding this spring: “I feel the only justice I will receive is to share my story in the efforts to educate the public and support assault survivors Another woman, meanwhile, has also accused Ravenel of attempted rape. In this instance, Ravenel allegedly forced himself on a date back in 2015 , pushing his fingers into her private parts and shoving his penis in her face. According to this alleged victim’s daughter, the woman screamed at Ravenel that he was a “rapist,” which caused him to stop his actions long enough that she also managed to escape. Ravenel, through his attorney, has denied both of these accusations. “My client enjoys a certain degree of fame, which has unfortunately made him a vulnerable target for such claims,” this lawyer, Richard P. Terbrusch, said in response to this second allegation. “The person this woman describes is simply not the man that I know. My client is a loving father, successful businessman, and upright member of the community. He is appalled and hurt by these allegations – and is committed to defending his reputation in the appropriate legal forum.” In response to the hit his reputation has taken as a result of these claims,  Ravenel quit Southern Charm several months ago. The lead cast member for the first five seasons of this Bravo program, he said via Twitter that producers have been making him look bad and he’s simply had enough of allowing them to do so. “I’m not doing the show anymore,” he wrote as confirmation, proceeding to play the victim as follows: “In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back.” Oh well. We have one response to Ravenel’s announcement above: Don’t let the door hit you on the way out! View Slideshow: Southern Charm: How Much Are the Stars Paid?

Brandon & Leah Jenner: It’s Over! After 14 Years!

After six years of marriage and 14 years as a couple, Brandon and Leah Jenner have reached the shocking decision to go their separate ways. The couple announced the sad news Monday, via an open letter to fans and the media. “Hi Everybody, It is with love in our hearts that we feel it’s time to share some personal news with you all,” the statement began. “After celebrating fourteen beautiful years together, we have lovingly come to the decision to end the romantic aspect of our relationship.” “We are deeply proud of the life we’ve cultivated together and are truly grateful for the bond of friendship we hold and cherish today.” “It is stronger than ever.” Based on their comments, it seems Brandon and Leah have agreed to part ways on mutually amicable terms. The couple went on to assure fans that they remain committed to making the happiness of their daughter, Eva, their top priority: “Even though we have chosen to separate as a couple, we still love one another very, very much and remain a major part of each other’s lives.” The statement noted that they will remain “best friends, family and loving parents to our daughter.” “There has been no lying or cheating or fighting that prompted this change, just an expansion of our individual evolution which has inspired us to support each other in a new way.” That’s a positive spin on it. “We are still very much a loving family and are bonded by a deep connection that is rooted in love.” The Jenners went on to assure fans that any information they see that contradicts this official statement should be disregarded as a fabrication. Brandon and Leah have known each other since they were teenagers and began dating way back in 2004. In 2012, the couple was married, and in 2016,  Leah Jenner welcomed her first child . While many celebrity couples issue statements about their intention to remain friends and put their child’s needs first, Brandon and Leah seem genuine in their intentions. Just last week, Leah posted a photo of Brandon on Instagram with a caption reading, “Best dada ever.” View Slideshow: Kardashian Family Members’ Net Worth: Ranked! Insane!!

Thomas Ravenel and Ashley Jacobs: Actually Engaged?!?

Thomas Ravenel and Ashley Jacobs cannot quit each other. This much is evident. The Southern Charm stars break up and make up more often than the sun rises and sets each weeks. Or so it seems, at least. But we now have reason to believe the roller coaster relationship may actually have calmed down. We have reason to believe the back-and-forth nature of this romance may be over. We have reason to believe that – GASP ! – Jacobs and Ravenel are engaged. Seriously, folks! Yes, it was just a couple weeks ago that Ravenel was accusing Jacobs of cheating and that the future for these annoying stars seemed murkier than ever. Follow along below, however, and you’ll see why at least some observers believe the pair has now decided to get married… On Sunday, Jacobs and Ravenel were tagged in a photo (above) that appeared to suggest a significant development in their relationship. “Great to be with this couple on their special day! Congrats and best wishes!” wrote a friend named Jason Jolly, who shared this image… … and then later deleted the snapshot amidst chatter that he had broken Ashley and Thomas’ engagement news without their permission. Granted, the words  special day are really all we have to go on here — but you tell us: to what could this pal be referencing via this caption if not an engagement? Adding fuel to the engagement fire? This picture of Jacobs? Ashley also posted it over the weekend, after Jason posted his image, and it simply includes the word happy . That would be the emotion one would expect Jacobs to express after an accepted proposal, right? Again, this is all speculation at the moment. The Bravo personalities, whose relationship was front and center throughout Southern Charm Season 5, seemingly split for good in mid-August . At that time, Jacobs explained in a tear-filled Instagram video that “I love Thomas and I’ll always love Thomas. I’ll always care about him.” She added: “I’m still trying to work it out. Not work out getting back together, but I’m still trying to figure it out… “I think everyone’s been through breakups before. But it’s hard.” Sure, absolutely. We get that. You’d think it might be made easier by the fact that Ravenel has been accused of rape by two women, however, and that he comes across like an abhorrent human being. In response to these charges and to the negative coverage that has been following him around, Ravenel quit Southern Charm this summer, explaining his decision thusly: I’m not doing the show anymore. In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back. The guy sucks so very much.
