Especially if Tiffany Haddish’s Instagram video is any indication. The reactions to the tweets are priceless! Flip it few times.
It’s been a tumultuous few weeks in the life of Nicki Minaj. First, Nicki was savaged in a diss track by Remy Ma that contained burns so brutal many feel they’ll haunt Ms. Minaj for the rest of her career. Before she could respond, Ma leveled Nicki with another track , this one not quite as scathing, but still injurious. Eventually, Nicki responded with a verse of her own, but many hip hop fans felt that it was too little, too late. Adding to the magnitude of Remy’s victory is the fact that Nicki has been repeatedly accused of playing snitch: appealing to various authorities in an attempt to silence her rap rival. Sources say Nicki began by reporting Remy for violating her parole (Ma just completed a seven-year sentence for shooting a member lf her entourage). When that didn’t work, she allegedly alerted the copyright police to a possible case of infringement. “Shether” – the first track that Remy directed at Nicki – samples its beat from 2001’s “Ether” a Nas diss track targeted at Jay-Z. Industry insiders say Nicki blew the whistle on Remy, alerting Nas to a possible theft of intellectual property that he was probably already aware of. If she really did make the call, it probably amounted to a favor request from a friend and former collaborator. Apparently, Nas wasn’t concerned about Remy’s homage. (Unlicensed beat sampling is a common practice in hip hop.) But while the phone call didn’t turn out to be an effective strategic move for Nick, it may have sparked a romance between a hip hop legend and the current queen of the genre. Yes, sources say Nas and Nicki are dating . It would be a lightning-fast rebound for Nicki who just broke up with Meek Mill back in January. Of course, moving on quickly is Nicki’s M.O., as she allegedly got involved with Meek not long after she dumped Safaree Samuels following their 8-year relationship. Disses and romances and snitching, oh my. Nicki’s got enough drama to support three soap operas. She’s got a TV show in pre-production, but sadly, it’s a kids’ show based on her childhood. We’re guessing the time she tried to get Nas to sue her rival but wound up hooking up with him instead probably won’t be deemed family-friendly. View Slideshow: 19 Nicki Minaj Fun Facts!
The romance between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may have taken us all by surprise, but according to their co-stars on The Voice , the pair are now moving at full force. During an appearance on the Today show, Pharrell Williams and Carson Daly gave us the scoop on America's new favorite couple. “It's poppin' off!” Pharrell told host Savannah Guthrie, after she inquired about whether Gwake acted all lovey-dovey on set. “Can't separate those two,” chimed in Carson Daly. Pharrell couldn't hold back his enthusiasm when speaking about his fellow Voice coaches. “It’s so beautiful because, you know being there, I watched both of them go through a lot, and you hate to see you friends go through something so heavy,” he said. “It was kind of like a miracle, man, just watching that,” he added. Both Pharrell and Carson admitted they had no idea a dalliance was blossoming between the two while working on the show. Pharrell said he found out via a text sent Blake sent him. “Blake sends me a text message, and I’m like, ‘whoa!'” he recalls. “We were all, like, whoa,” said Carson. The latest scuttlebutt is that Blake was furious that Christina Aguilera replaced Gwen as a coach this season. To quell his anger, The Voice producers reportedly brought the No Doubt singer back as an advisor to serve on Blake's team. Neither Pharrell nor Carson made mention of wedding bells between their co-stars, but we're sure the tabloids will keep us posted.

‘It brings a sense of hope into the show,’ Robert Kirkman tells MTV News of the budding romance between Glenn and Maggie. By Josh Wigler Steven Yeun as Glenn in “The Walking Dead” Photo: Bob Mahoney/ AMC “The Walking Dead” spent a lot of time dwelling on the dead in last week’s “Save the Last One” episode, so it’s only fair that the most recent outing — titled “Cherokee Rose” — focused most of its energy on the living. Hot on the heels of Otis’ tragic death and Carl’s stressful surgery, this week’s episode finally turned up the heat and gave us a whole lot of flesh — but not the kind “Walking Dead” heads are typically used to. We’re talking, of course, about the steamy sex scene between go-to odd-jobs man Glenn (Steven Yeun) and newcomer Maggie (Lauren Cohan), daughter of farmer Hershel Greene. After Glenn successfully roped in an incredibly gruesome zombie at the bottom of a well (seriously, did you see that thing? That’s Greg Nicotero at his finest!), the former pizza delivery boy clearly demonstrated enough cojones to win Maggie’s heart — or at least her body. But following the spontaneous sexual encounter, Maggie called it quits, leaving Glenn more than a little bit confused about what just happened. Glenn might be down at the moment, but he’s definitely not out. In a recent interview, “Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman assured MTV News that the romance between Maggie and Glenn will be mostly faithful to their fan-favorite relationship as seen in the comics. “I can’t go into too many details as far as the Glenn-Maggie relationship goes, I wouldn’t want to reveal too much, but I can say it’s kept largely intact from what happens in the comic book series,” Kirkman said. “Seeing Lauren Cohan and Steven Yeun on set together is just absolutely amazing for me. It’s like, ‘Oh, there’s Glenn and Maggie!’ “Watching them kiss is no fun, that’s just weird,” he quipped. “But they do a good job at it. They seem to enjoy kissing each other. I think Steven might enjoy it more than Lauren, but that’s just my take on the situation.” On a serious note, Kirkman applauded the Glenn-Maggie romance for shining a spotlight on the brighter side of the “Walking Dead” universe — a side that’s very rarely seen. “It brings a sense of hope into the show, that these two people can find each other and find love,” Kirkman said. “It’s fun to have a bit of romance in there and think that, despite everything that’s going on in this world, two people can find some form of happiness. “Until a zombie attacks,” he quickly warned, “and zombies do attack from time to time.” Tell us what you thought of this week’s “Walking Dead” in the comments and on Twitter ! MC strips his lavish lifestyle and revisits his native Queensbridge in the clip. By Rob Markman Nas Photo: C Flanigan/ Getty Images Who says you can’t go back home? On his 1999 single “Hate Me Now,” Nas claimed he was the first rapper to bring a platinum plaque back to the projects, and for his latest video, for “Nasty,” God’s Son stripped his lavish lifestyle down and went back to his native Queensbridge, New York. Directed by Gold Watch, “Nasty” premiered online Tuesday (October 11). The clip starts with Nas, smoking a cigar in the backseat of a Rolls Royce, flanked by two bodacious beauties who fawn over the legendary rap star. Draped in diamond-encrusted jewelry and other high-priced accessories, Nas is driven through the dark New York City streets until the day turns to night. Once the sun rises, Esco hops out of the Rolls in the Long Island City section of Queens, saluting the kids standing on the corner with hearty handshakes. One lucky youngster is gifted with the rings from Nas’ fingers, right before he passes a wad of cash to a man seated in a wheelchair. The entire ‘hood lines up to greet their prodigal rap son as he returns to his old stomping grounds. The visual is particularly fitting, seeing as how for this first single from his upcoming 10th studio album, Nas returned to the raw hip-hop sound that initially earned him his place in the genre. Nasty Nas continues to walk down the rough and rugged streets, peeling off his suit jacket and just about any signifier of his accumulated wealth. Things begin to make sense as Nas enters 40-16 Vernon Boulevard, his old project building. The rapper, now dressed in a single Jesus piece and black sleeveless tee, marches up the stairs because of a broken elevator. Nas then walks into an apartment full of people before walking into a bedroom recording studio, where he begins to lay down vocals for the very song he’s shooting a video for. There’s no place like home. Share your “Nasty” reviews in the comments! Related Artists Nas
